Westside Pet Clinic Santa Monica, California

Doctor Adams is an amazingly talented surgeon and is a great guy. He speaks to you and communicates in such a nice manner. He loves dogs and did a perfect surgery on my dog. I would trust him to operate on me even. Prices here are reasonable and I have only good things to say. This is the best vet on the westside.

Very nice people but are either understaffed or disorganized. Appointments don’t really mean anything as my new puppy was scheduled for a Saturday 3 weeks ahead and I called on the Thursday before to confirm and the receptionist told me she moved me to Friday. I never received a call/email that it was moved. Once there they were friendly but we waited for 1.5 hours even though we had an appointment. Our dog then coughed up a roundworm the following day and called and they made me another appointment on Monday as the dr was out on Saturday. Went in for a 11 am appointment and the dr never saw me and I waited an hour just to be given dewormer that I could have bought myself, even though when I called I asked if I should by a dewormed and they told me I have to bring him in. We then asked for our records to send to insurance and had to call 5 days in a row as they kept saying they will send them but never did. When we received the records we found out that our dog had giardia too and we weren’t notified. I called back to ask if we needed different treatment for it and they said they would call me back. Never was called. Going to VCA as they were able to answer my questions about my puppy without even being a client yet. Again, very nice people but the place is very disorganized when it comes to a living things health.

I moved I loved my old vet but with covid it started getting harder and harder to get in there may be a wait here but I can go in with my pet and that is everything to me. I really like the Doctor Gary he is so awesome but everyone else there is so great too.

Very good vets but they need to overhaul their staffing/front desk issues. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone. Impossible to get follow ups on testing results for my pet. I need to find a new vet cause my dog is getting older and I don't think this place can adequately care for my dog.

Once you're actually seeing the vet, the experience is good but everything else is a hassle. They have literally never called me back.

They take care of my little buddy, Dior. Dr. Gary is the best!

The veterinarian and staff are very thorough, thoughtful, and professional. You're pet(s) are in great hands. The receptionist, Pam, is very polite and always gives a wonderful welcome. Westside Pet Clinic is the best place! Very professional.

The vet and assistants were both helpful and friendly. They made sure to handle all of my questions. Trying to get an appointment was difficult as the receptionist seemed a bit rude over the phone and didn't call me back after she said she would. The lobby is also very small and not very covid friendly. It was yard to separate my dogs from another dog who was not friendly. They finally let me do my paperwork in a separate room which helped. The location is very convenient for me.

My pup passed away as a result of Dr. Gary Adams' lack of care. She could have lived had I went to another vet, with a conscience. My pup was my life and the unnecessary loss continues to haunt me, daily. She was my baby, and meant everything to me. For the record, Dr. Adams didn't even call me after I reported her passing. When I confronted him, he provided lame excuses and no apology. I've always secured at least two Vet opinions, whenever my pup had a health issue. I gave Dr. Adams my trust, and let my pup down by entrusting in him.

Dr.Adams and his staff are wonderful. I definitely recommend him. He is so knowledgeable and trustworthy.

DO NOT GO HERE. The people are rude, its dirty and super sketchy. I had to leave mid-appointment because of how I was being treated. Nobody there is touching my dogs.

Very efficient, on this me and affordable offer ce who really care for our animal friends

Dr. Gary Adams (D.V.M.) is a God compared to some of the other D.V.M.'s on the Westside. Even though his fees are not the most inexpensive, he and his Business Manager Michelle are willing to work with you. I like that aspect very much. Most D.V.M.'s on the Westside have no concerns that not every pet owner has a gold Ferrari in the garage!

Dr. Adams is the BY FAR the best vet I've ever met on the Westside - thorough, present and concise with his care. He asks questions and provides explanations so that you get a comprehensive understanding of your pets health and plan of action. The proverbial cherry on top is when you pay at the end you're pleasantly surprised as their prices are definitely fair. I've never left a vet's office so satisfied with the service AND care. - xoxo, a neurotic dog mom

Thank you for helping my kitty! Dr. Adams and the staff are very friendly, professional, and straight forward. My cat was having labored breathing, so I brought her in as a walk in. They were very accommodating in squeezing her into their already busy schedule for a quick exam, X-ray, and cortisone shot, which seems to have resolved the issue.

Dr. Adams is very knowledgeable and takes his time with your pet to thoroughly examine them and asks all sorts of questions to figure out the problem. His love of animals is obvious and he is full of empathy and patience, even with neurotic cat parents like me. The office staff (shout out to Marissa!) and techs are kind and treat your pets like their own. He keeps my cats healthy and his prices are very fair.

Kathleen and Tracy were very helpful when it came to answering any questions I had with aftercare for my cat when I got him fixed.

I discovered Westside Pet Clinic after moving to Santa Monica from DC. It's such a relief to have such a competent, clean and professional location to bring our senior cat for check-up visits! The front-desk customer service is excellent here and the vet's bedside manner with our cat was so sweet, which put our cat at ease. Cats can be difficult, so it is important for your veterinarian to be confident working with cats. The final visit bill was fair and competitive for the Santa Monica area. Highly recommend for cat owners on the Westside!

If I could leave less than one star I would. I have a lab mix and multiple times the notices / email updates about what my dog was due for were wrong and frequently (almost every single time) the front desk staff was unable to assist, not helpful and/or wrong. The vets there were OK but dealing with the office was so painful that I'm taking Kip (my dog) elsewhere in Santa Monica. The office was also ALWAYS out of supplements, foods, and meds so it made things even more painful. For the health sake and well being of your pet, I STRONGLY advise against dealing with this unorganized and unhelpful vet in Santa Monica.

This is the best pet clinic I have ever taken a pet to. The staff is attentive and friendly. The doctor is smart and clearly loves what she does. They basically just saved my cat's life. They never gave up hope, gave me all the options in a clear and concise manner, and really rallied together to save lil' Emmitt's life. I cannot thank Westside Pet Clinic enough.

I love coming here! Dr. Mustakas was amazing with my dog, Chase, who had a bad experience with another Clinic years ago making him *extremely afraid* of the vet. She was able to keep him calm and complete the exam all while offering him wonderful treats! At this clinic everyone is kind, listens and is very open and helpful! Highly recommend!!

I was very impressed by Westside Pet Clinic. I brought my 5 year old pit bull/mix in because she'd had flu-like symptoms. They're professional, communicative both before and after the exam, and seem to genuinely want what is best for your pet. I feel like most vets try to persuade you into doing unnecessary (and often expensive) diagnostic tests or taking medication, but I felt that the Westside vet and staff were more focused on helping you weigh your options and make an informed decision. I would highly recommend and will definitely be bringing my pup back in the future.

They know your name upon entering! Appointments are on time. The office and exam rooms are clean and oder free! The staff is friendly and engaging! Very clear on the cost and pricing of office visits, meds and have tons of helpful free tips for you pet to be healthy and happy! My dogs give it 5 PAWS!

I took my dog to Dr. Mustakas for a wellness exam. Her knowledge of dogs blew me away. She has such an amazing kindness and professionalism about her, that not only made me feel so confident about her examining my dog, but made my dog feel at ease. Her staff was so helpful in guiding me through the different treatments for my dog. Linda, especially, rose to the occasion when I needed help. I have never been crazy about taking my dog to the veterinarian, because usually he is so afraid, but not at Westside Pet Clinic . Dr. Mustakas is truly a credit to her craft. I am so very lucky, and extremely grateful to be able to call Dr. Ashley Mustakas my vet! I thank you for your excellent care and treatment of my dog, and Debo thanks you!
