Great people have known and done business with this family for some years

These owners left all of the dogs locked in cages while they evacuated for the fire. They ignored offers to help get the dogs to safety. They do not care about your animal’s well being. Please do not support their business. ????

I’m sure this was once an excellent kennel and training facility, but they need to take their website down because they never respond to any customer inquiries. If you aren’t really in business anymore, quit wasting others’ time.

They left more than 10 dogs locked up in kennels for 3 days no food or water with the fires burning everywhere around them. At the very least let them run off to try to save themselves

Please be aware that Von Falconer K9 training left dogs locked in cages when they evacuated from the CZU August Lightning Fire. They had time to lock their front gate, but didn't bother to set the dogs free. Fortunately the dogs were rescued today (8/21/20) by concerned citizens .

I liked the time and attention they took with me and my dog. It's a good environment to get some detailed training around high energy working dogs.

I was curious about purchasing a puppy. So I called and left a vm and then I emailed the company. But they never respond, you would think they would want the sale but I guess not.

I had acquaintances who bought a German Shepherd from this kennel, and they recently lost their house and needed to re-home their dog, or find a foster home. They could never get a response from this kennel, and I also tried. I am a breeder of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and like ALL good breeders, we have a contract that states if the owners can no longer keep a dog we bred, they must return the dog to us. This old Shepherd had to go to the pound, as rescue had too many Shepherds, where he died of torsion a few days ago. People... NEVER BUY A PUPPY OR DOG from any breeder that does not take responsibility. GO TO AN ETHICAL BREEDER. Easy to find, they will have a return-to-breeder contract and they will stand by it.

Great dog training, our dog has been walking a LOT better on the leash since working with Brian and Francisco.

My wife and I purchased a male Dutch Shepherd puppy from Von Falconer one year ago. We visited the puppies when they were six weeks old and returned at 8 weeks to take one home. Bryan recommended a black colored male which we named Watson. Watson is absolutely the best dog anyone could want. He is healthy, affectionate, loyal, incredibly intelligent and just plain fun. Bryan is a wealth of information and has always been available to answer our questions and provide great advice. If you are looking for a really great dog, I highly recommend Von Falconer Kennels and their Dutch Shepherds.

1.0 star rating 3/12/2017 I purchased a Dutch Shepard from Bryan Falconer here several months ago. In addition to purchasing the dog, I paid an extra $2,000 for the 30-day training program they had. The dog and training is definitely not as described: 1 - The dog was very timid with people (not a confident working dog). 2 - The dog wasn't trained much at all, she knew the basic commands (sit, stay, and to heel on leash) however, because they did training/working on leash, whenever I would walk her, she would refuse to go potty on leash. I literally would walk her from 30 minutes to an hour and she wouldn't go, but the minute we got home and I took her off leash she would pee and poop in the house (another false claim stating she was potty trained) 3 - Another false advertisement to the list, was that the dog was crate trained. This dog was as far from crate trained as physically possible. She was horrified about going into the crate. Any dog with proper crate training actually enjoys going into their crate, as it's considered a sanctuary place for them. She would bark and cry for hours when put in the crate. She hated the crate so much to the point where she actually peed and pooped in the crate even though she had to sit in it for a couple hours. For a dog to go potty where she sleeps means that she really hated it in there and did not feel like it was her safe space. 4 - She was fearful towards men and the crate, which leads me to believe this dog was either neglected or abused. Either way, the behavioral traits of this dog at 6-7 months old were clearly from a broken home. I had to hire another trainer to get her to unlearn all her bad habits, which is much harder to do than training her properly from the start. The training (if you want to call it that) that I paid for was a complete scam. If anyone is looking for a house dog, be prepared that your dog will not be housebroken whatsoever. They don't even let the dogs in their house. They were all locked up in kennels or in crates. I made the mistake of not doing enough due diligence prior to making this purchase (that I would need to be committed to for the next 13 years). I expressed all of these concerns to Bryan Falconer, and I would be extremely lucky if he answered the phone or called me back. Not only did I get suckered in to spending so much money on this dog and training, but their customer service and satisfaction is non-existent. Overall, this was a traumatic, frustrating, and sad experience that I've had to deal with. I usually don't write reviews, and when I do they are very short. This is the first review I've actually spent time composing because I want anyone that's looking to purchase from this breeder to think twice. I highly discourage anyone from purchasing from here, but if you do happen to buy a puppy, whatever you do, do not spend the extra money on training because that's just another way for them to sucker you out of more money while the dog sits and does nothing. Ultimately, I couldn't even handle it. Fortunately, the trainer that I was working with to help her unlearn her bad habits agreed to adopt her and had the time to work with her. I then moved on to another puppy that came from a reputable breeder and had proper obedience training completed and my dog is perfect, which is what I was expecting originally from Von Falconer. I hope this sheds some light and helps some people prior to purchasing, so they don't get fooled and make the same mistake i did.

We have two beautiful German Shepherds from Von Falconer, and we couldn't be happier! Bryan and Francisco are experts in breeding and training, and we rely on them to keep our pups in top shape. Our vet has told us our dogs have excellent muscle tone and dispositions. They are both confident and healthy. When we have to travel, we only leave them with Bryan and Francisco, and our dogs come home happy and better behaved than when we left them. We highly recommend Von Falconer for breeding, training and boarding.

I searched very long for a reasonably priced dog trainer. After all my research, I took my 1 year old rescue and special needs dog to Brian at Von Falconer. He was very thorough, and knowledgeable. My little girl was found in the streets of watsonville, and had a disease called vestibular disease. Which led to severe a.d.d, and anxiety issues. Brian took Riley for 3 weeks, and gave me an extra week free, due to the rain. When I picked her up she had the same loving, And energetic personality, but was way more cooperative and obedient. I would 100% recommend them for training all dogs. She even understands English and German commands now! Don't know where I would be without them.

Our experience with Von Falconer has been (is) a good one. We have been taking our GSD rescue for training and purchased a puppy in addition. Both dogs and the whole family have benefited from the training classes and the advice given to all of us. Brian and Francisco, both, take their craft serious and they are always ready to share insights and advice.

I have only been going to Von Falconer Canine Training for about six weeks. It is as if me and my dog had been there forever.. My dog is happier and more secure there than he is anywhere but home. My dog is doing things that others said he would never do. The reason is the consistent quality training we are receiving from Eric and Brian along with the rest of the staff at Von Falconer Canine Training. I am often amazed at how they are able to keep the classes flowing with so many of the dogs being on different levels of training. I have taken my dog on almost every trip I have gone on since he has been with us because I don't trust anybody to watch him except one good friend. I felt comfortable enough after only a couple of sessions that I could board my little guy with Eric and Brian and the gang and he would be well taken care of while I was gone. He might even know a thing or two more than he did when I dropped him off. I would recommend them with confidence.
