I get so anxious as my dog gets very aggressive at vet's office, but all of the staff were incredibly understanding and empathetic with me and my dog. My pup saw Visiting Dr. Goulart and I truly wish she would be a permanent doctor. She is extraordinary!

There is no way it could have been better. It was my first time, having a need to migrate away from Ocean Animal Clinic as they are just too busy. Your facility is clean, your staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and they give you their full attention. I got the opportunity to see Dr. Evans and he is fantastic. In addition, and unlike Ocean, you all have an in-house lab, which saved me so much time. So, not only was I able to get an appointment same-day, a follow-up two days later, and then another appointment for my other cat in another two days, everything was done at once. I remember asking Dr. Evans after he drew the blood - "so, you'll get back to me in a few days with the results?" He looked at me quizzically and said, "No, I'll be back in ten minutes to discuss the results." So, while I was at Ocean for about 15 years, I'll be staying at Soquel, which is, apparently, their sister vet. They are fully staffed so no more waiting three weeks to get your cat seen. When I called Ocean at first and said my cat wasn't eating, waiting three weeks just wasn't an option, so I'm very grateful to them for suggesting I contact Soquel. I couldn't be happier and I even sent them a follow-up email thanking them for everything including photos of my cat, Otti, while he was there. They are also open on Saturday which is a HUGE win.

We recently changed veterinarian services for our 4 pets. So far I've made about 5 trips with my dog and two of my cats, and the service has been excellent each time. Dr. Barton is kind and knowledgeable, and the staff attentive and thorough. The fee schedule is reasonable and they are very quick to provide any records if needed for insurance.

I just want to give a big, big thank you to Dr Liao for being so kind and personable. And his knowledge, professionalism and honesty with the care of my cat was what I needed to move forward. My kitty was ill and at end of life, and Dr Liao was so helpful in helping me make a choice with the best plan of care for her. Dr Liao’s help really meant the world to me! And thanks to all staff, everyone was very nice!

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! Brought our dog in for foxtail removal at 3pm, wasn’t done until 13 HOURS later!! Kept telling us it’d be another hour or two, they kept lying to make $$, because we said we wanted to pick her up and bring to a vet that would do the procedure right away. When we picked her up, 30 mins after threw up and had horrible diarrhea in the car ride home - can you imagine!! Shows they don’t know what dose to give to sedate….DO NOT GO HERE IN AN EMERGENCY!!!! Drive somewhere else no matter how far!!!!!!!

They took care of emergency with my dog. Veey busy place on weekends. Friendly . Receptionist was always putting you on hold bit frustrating.

We first used the Animal Hospital of Soquel for boarding our two French Bulldogs when there was an unforeseen problem with the kennel we normally used. I called that kennel the day before we were going out of town just to confirm the appointment and they had added two requirements for boarding without telling me when I had initially scheduled the boarding. There was no time to meet those requirements so we had to scramble to find an alternative facility. Animal Hospital of Soquel to the rescue! Not only was the facility much nicer than the place we had been using for years, Mariah, the boarding supervisor was absolutely the best! And it didn't stop with Mariah. The entire staff was friendly, well organized and courteous. The waiting area is clean, roomy and cheerful. Since that time we have used their veterinary services as well and they are extremely gifted and sincerely focused on our dogs' health and well being. We will be using the Animal Hospital of Soquel for all of our pet's needs.

Best animal hospital in Santa Cruz. Really responsive, caring, and professional. I love taking my two French Bulldogs there.

They struggled during Covid 19 but they are back to their usual efficient selves. Somewhat pricey with great service and medical treatment.

Horrible vet with limited staff that seem to always be in a bad mood. Highly overcharge customers for their services and don't even get the services correct half the time. If you ever been to this place double check your receipts. I would not recommend this vet to anyone. I would recommend SPCA to visit instead this business place should be investigated. I honestly I don't know how they hold a license

GREAT Experience here. Only had to wait 15 minutes in the parking lot. Administratively on the ball. Doctor called us when we were in the car and very thoroughly explained what she had learned while examining Lucy, which was that she had a bad case of a gum disease called gingivitis. (Had previously been to Pacific and Santa Cruz veterinary specialists, who failed to tell us this.) Dr. and staff very professional and kind. Can't recommend this place and these people high enough!
