As a shelter volunteer , a fur baby mom, somebody who helps in rescue and fostering I’m disgusted with the lack of honor in this establishment. I have had my own foster and foster fails here and been previously amazed at the kindness and caring manners of the other vet, BUT Dr Pedro Cisneros is horrible. I will never suggest this to another person who adopts nor rescues. I will never promote a business that does not honor their agreement with the shelters for customers who adopt rather than buy. Dr Cisneros refused to make an appointment over the holidays for my own sons newly adopted dog from the shelters. He is of course on the list for an examination which he will not honor nor even have the decency to get on the phone. To think of how many people I have referred here makes me sick thinking they may have been treated in this manner. When I asked Tiffany the receptionist I had the displeasure of speaking with to get her my own animals records as I would be leaving, she asked me when I would be in. I said I did but live close anymore but would be I. Sometime later today. I asked when the records would be ready and she very snippy said “they will be ready sometime today” I have never dealt with such rude people and the fact that this came from the doctor himself says a lot. I’m disgusted at how this place has plummeted to the dregs of bottom feeders in business. They use the shelters to promote their business but then deny appointments and refuse to honor the exam appointments that bring them clients. So people adopt and are offered a free exam and this doctor refuses to honor anything. Do not take your pets here. If they can’t be honorable with a simple exam when somebody rescues an animal what would they do behind closed doors with your baby? I will never trust this place again ????And yes I have multiple babies whom I love and Adore but this place is BAD!

All of the doctors here are wonderful and have a wealth of knowledge. They take their time and answer all of your questions. They have reasonable prices for shots and test. The front office girls are wonderful and really nice I would recommend you to go if your looking for a great new vet office for your 4 legged family members! ????

The staff at this site is efficient and compassionate. They try to be accommodating so you and your pet can get the care needed in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable and staff is knowledgeable and they don't try to upsell you things that are not mandatory but they do inform you of the extra things for the treatment of your loved furry friends if one wants to or can pay for. Every person im the office is pleasant, a good place to take your furry family members!!

Dr Cisneros is the best ???? feels like the staff and doctors genuinely care about their patients and treat their clients well. They were highly recommended by best friends society and we've seen Dr Cisneros in the past in Sylmar so we're thrilled to see him again. ????

My husband and I of 22 years have brought all our pets and even Barbie, my Mother in laws dog here. We always return. Good Drs, low prices, and my Dog Lulu feels comfortable. And she can be a really anxious girl when it comes to going to the Vet. We got her fixed in th he Valley. She was traumatized at that Vet, sadly. But VIP restored her faith in being treated kindly and patiently. I recommend VIP wholeheartedly!

I was referred here by my dog’s vet for spay/neuter services because they don’t do it. I was happy with their over the phone price quote but then sadly disappointed once I got there to drop off my dog. They add on “optional” services like IV fluids! Shouldn’t that be included especially if they made your dog be without any water since the night before?? They also had some sort of bloodwork as an option. The worst part was that they sent my dog home without a cone or pain meds. Those are extras too. You end up paying double what you were quoted with all the “optional” items. I had to call them the next day and ask them for pain meds because my dogs couldn’t stop shaking, I’m guessing from the pain after major abdominal surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Cisneros for TPLO/MPL Right Rear Orthopedic Surgery after my 70lb staffordshire terrier completely tore her ACL, in addition to having a luxating patella in the same leg. I researched many surgeons in the LA area prior to scheduling and felt confident with Dr. Cisneros, especially since he was so highly recommended by my primary vet. I did read all Yelp and Google reviews regarding VIP Vet Services prior to scheduling, and can't speak to the other vets or individual experiences from other Yelp-ers, but my experience throughout the entire process has been pleasant and professional. It did take a few weeks to get surgery scheduled, but 6 other surgeons I called in the area were booked out even longer. During the initial consult with Dr. Cisneros, he took his time and was very thorough in describing the issues, what surgery would consist of and correct, and what after surgery recovery would involve. Most of the information was not new to me, as I had known the past two years that surgery would be needed at some point for her luxating patella, and joined a FaceBook group that consists of thousands of members that have gone through TPLO surgery to obtain resources and research what that process would involve after she tore her ACL. Dr. Cisneros provided a quote for the surgery including labs, X-rays, a 4 night in-hospital stay (this is standard after TPLO surgery for his patients), take home medications, and 3-4 weekly physical therapy sessions. The Front Office staff was friendly and professional each time I called to schedule appointments or check in (I called everyday during the in-hospital stay after surgery); Dr. Cisneros is very accessible and accommodates fitting me into his schedule to address questions after surgery; the vet assistants were knowledgeable and genuinely cared about my dog; and my final price aligned with the quote I received, which cost significantly less than I would have paid somewhere else. My dog is 11 days post op and doing great, bearing weight on her leg, and can't wait to be able to go hiking again. We have a long journey of recovery ahead, but I'm glad she will have a good quality of life and am extremely satisfied with the knowledge, experience, professionalism, and attentiveness received by Dr. Cisneros and staff. I will note that as a patient during COVID, it's important to be flexible and have patience; phone and in-clinic wait times may be longer. It's also important to be able to differentiate between a true emergency and conditions that do not require immediate treatment. As difficult as it was for me to push surgery out 3 weeks due to the schedule, I've heard stories from many other folks across the U.S. that have had longer delays, and it typically doesn't create additional issues if diet and activity are restricted as recommended by the vet. Apologies this is such a lengthy review, but I wanted to be comprehensive given the significance of this procedure. Pics are first day coming home in the car and first physical therapy session walking out of the clinic.

Dr. Cisneros and his team are truly wonderful, caring people. Our precious cat was diagnosed with cancer and had to have his leg amputated. Dr. Cisneros took excellent care of him and our cat was up and hopping around the day we brought him back from VIP vet. I'm so grateful for VIP Vet & Dr. Cisneros, he is a true animal lover and an excellent doctor!

Dr C is amazing with bedside manner and he actually cares about animals more than anyone he takes his time and never rushes anyone he takes care of all our pets for many years. My only single complaint is that his reception girls are always rude and shirt and seem like they despise the public

Had my dog spayed here and they sent her home without any pain meds. Our sweet dog miserable when we picked her up. They said the doctor gave enough pain med shot to last her but it didn't at all! By the time we realized how much pain she was in, their office was closed. I had to watch her suffer all night in pain. I would recommend you go to tags for cheap spay/neuter. At least they send them home with pain meds. This place was not cheap at all! By the time we left, it was a lot more than they had quoted. Make sure your dog is not in heat, that will cost you an additional $45. There's no way of knowing until they get in there during surgery.
