Awful experience. The staff is very rude and inattentive. They were continuously charging me for tests with no explanations or reasoning. Finally they refused to provide the correct medical record and test result for me to send to a new clinic. Would not recommend for anyone to go here. It’s a waste of time, money and your pets well-being.

Medical Malpractice/Error- wrong dosage given Very recently moved into the area and had noticed strange behavior with my dog. Called the clinic and made an appointment to see the vet. Initial thoughts was that the clinic was dirty and everything just seemed unorganized, boy was that only the beginning. Assistant had me use their computer to type in all my own information onto their system. After such a long wait (even though we were the only ones there) we finally saw the vet and he recommended a immediate surgery on my dog after some testing. I went through with it since after all, he is the vet. Paid $2.5K for the worst service I’ve experienced in my life. Vet was short and hardly explained anything and staff was not at all professional or even experienced. I was told to go home while they did the surgery and was given medication to take with me. When I came back I didn’t speak to the vet or was even explained how any of it went. The girl at the front desk handed me my dog and told me to go home while handing me another bag of the exact same medication and left. I took both of the baggies home with me (assuming it was on purpose) and administered the first bag throughout the first week. When we went in for a checkup, we were asked by 3 different people what surgery my dog had had, as if they hadn’t documented it. We were told by the vet that we should to continue medication, where I explained that we had been given two bags the day of the surgery. Vet told us to go ahead use the second bag for the second week. After the checkup we compared the bags and realized that the clinic had given different dosages for each of the bags. One was 0.6 ml and one was 0.3 ml. For that first week, we had already administered the 0.6ml. I called to confirm the amount that should have been administered and they confirmed that it should have been 0.3 ml throughout all two weeks. However, since one of the bags was 0.6 ml, I questioned why I had received double the dosage. They were not able to give me an answer and told me they’d call me back which they never did. Went in for a final appointment to get the staples removed and had to stand for over 40 minutes and never spoke to the vet. They girl at the front took my dog (had 2 other people come her my dog after this even though my dog was already taken by them) and brought her back without any cleaning after those staples were removed. My dog is only 9lbs and double the dosage could have been dangerous for her. How can a vet clinic have such medical negligence when handing the lives of our pets?! Seems as ownership changed a while back and the majority of the positive reviews are for the old owners. Don’t go here if you care about your furry friends.

Every person in the clinic is very attentive and caring. You can accompany your pet through the visit which is pretty unusual during COVID.

Good service. The place is sort of rundown and I'm somewhat concerned my dog got fleas from her visit. Edit: This place its really awful. They said they’d return my only copy of my dogs records from the adoption center to me when I picked my dog up. They lost them and were rude when I pressed them to check more thoroughly… I did not press in an angry manner but rather out of persistence that they MUST have them somewhere. They did not. I also arranged for my dog to have a sample checked for worms. I dropped it off. They never called me with the results and when I called to ask they had no record of any of it. I had the receipt in hand to prove I paid for a service they failed to render. They didn’t care at all.

This is the only time I left a review: my big cat had some minor throwing out issues and since this is the only place offer urgent clinic. We brought him here with our new kitten who had some running nose. We were charged 1700 immediately for series of testing and treatment. Doctor said our cat needs to stay for a night here. We’d waiting for couple of hours for getting his testing done and 10 mins after I got home. I got the call saying my cat was on rescue and he couldn’t make it after I get back to the clinic. I was trying to recover from the sadness of losing my boy, but I couldn’t. Doctor said he died because of emergent cardiac attack. I know he never had such issues before, I don’t know what the staff here did to him since I wasn’t there, I thought about find a lawyer but didn’t since I knew it couldn’t bring my cat back. However, what made me really sad is that the doctor said he will refund us for the part of testings my cat didn’t have a chance to do. Now, it’s been almost 5 months, I still didn’t get the refund. We came here several times, every time the people here were too busy to take care of our refund. The reasons were always like “our accountant was not working today”, “need to check with the doctor” etc. I had so much bad experience with this place….

I'd give negative stars if I could. I just read the negative reviews for the posts regarding sedation for pets and how some of them have died here at this clinic. Pet owners beware, don't take your loved ones here. They overcharge and don't even explain/tell you what they do. Also automatically entering a room counts as examination, like what? The doc didn't even do anything besides pet my baby and then try to take it back for examination. Worst place ever

Avoid at all costs. Way overpriced, HORRIBLE wait times (two hours your appointment time). I had to ask four times for my dog's paperwork to be faxed to a different vet and it's still not completely done. The staff seems ill equipped to manage the busyness of the clinic. The vet doesn't take his time to fully explain how to care for your pets post-visit. I will never go here again.

I took my pup here and honestly worse decision, they made me wait for around 2 hours each visit, they gave me different diagnosis each visit. I had to keep bringing her here because she would get sick over and over again. I than decided to take her vet and turned out they saw blood work from this clinic that showed clear signs of Addison’s disease. I’m lucky my dog is alive and receiving the treatment she needed. Now I have to pay over 2k for this clinic that didn’t help when I paid around 500 at my clinic and my pup quickly recovered. So highly don’t recommend this place, I only came here because I was looking for urgent care but I regret coming here

HORRIBLE, WASTE OF TIME!!! - I had to wait for 1 hour for doctor to show up. DR GAHRA is very unprofessional! He came after 1 hour and went outside to bring an exam instrument. Waited another 15 mins. DR GAHRA came and examined my dog for 2 minutes went out again to print the bill for medications/procedures. The bill was unexpectedly high, unexpected procedures and medications which didn't match what I was told initially. Waited another 15 minutes. After wasting 1.5 hour at the clinic, I had to walk off the clinic. Waste of time and money - NET RESULT ZERO.

Do not go here. Communication is unprofessional, waited 45 minutes past my appointment time all just for a physical so my dog could get a medication refill, after which I had to call three times in order to get a hold of the dr to review lab results (Each time being told he would call back). Then, after driving to pick up the scripts for meds - I get there to see that the dosages are incorrect. Save your time and effort and spend the extra $ to go to a more organized and professional clinic.

Best damn pet clinic I have been to! From the moment you walk through the door with your furry little friend till the time comes when they check you out, you can rest assure that your pet will receive nothing short of professional medical attention, loving care by one of the many vet assistants(a couple pretty cute ones too!) Who treat our loyal, loved & injured Lil furry friend, who depends on us & trusts that we are going to get them fixed up and back to their healthy and energetic life style! There even came a point when someone called in to see if they would take a drowned kitten! The assistant assured the caller that they would do all they could to save the poor little kitty & rallied up all the other assistants that weren't busy with any other patients at the time. they all waited right there in the lobby until the kitten was rushed to the door, handed off to the closest vet assistant & all the medical staff disappeared through the door leading to the O.R room! From the look of that poor Lil kitty as it was handed to the assistant to the time they rushed it to the back, I have to say, it did not look good for the poor thing! I will have to get an update during my follow up for my pet, buddy & best friend! They really took good care of my dog & even we're kind enough to see if we needed anything! The facility is kinda small with limited parking but, it's very clean, nice & cool in there too! The rooms were spacious, equipped with all the needed medical necessities to tend to whatever they needed to! This is definitely my go to clinic if I ever need to take my dog in again!

Please, be aware of this clinic. Don’t get fooled by the review as I did ! I recommend you read the reviews from the newest to oldest to get an accurate idea of this place before you take your pet in. The vet is unprofessional, dishonest and money hungry! He takes advantage of your love and care about your pets and overcharges you as much as he can. I took my 9 month old dog as a walk-in patient since her professional vet at the other clinic was not available at that time. The staff were friendly and took good care of my beloved dog. I told the vet my dog started coughing and he immediately said she needed to take an x-ray!!!!!! X-ray ONLY for coughing? The way he treated me , made me accept it! After one hour waiting, he came back with the obvious result that I knew in advance , my dog needed antibiotics !!! He gave me 3 different medications and he still wasn’t sure if they would work!!! I asked him a few questions and he wasn’t able to answer any of them. He himself asked me to pay the bill in the examination room rather than to pay at the front desk which was so weird. We came back home with a $625 bill. I took my dog to her professional and honest vet for a second opinion two days later and told him all the goings-on and the vet looked at me and just shook his head and Said “you got overcharged and he said stop giving your dog one of the medicine. If Dr.Gahra was an honest person, I would prefer to take my dog regularly there since the clinic is only 2 miles away from my home. He thinks he is very clever with overcharging people but in fact he runs customers away. I WIll NEVER GO BACK TO THIS CLINIC EVEN IF IT IS ONLY ONE ON EARTH.

I went to show my old foster dog (Terrier mix) since he had lump in his rear. Dr. Gahra is amazing and staff is also very professional and amazing. They charge $55 for general check up. They were open on a Sunday that was awesome and took us in quickly. I would recommend this clinic for any pet parents.

If your dog is sick of course they’ll take care of your pet but they are interested in for the money they charged me for so many things I didn’t need to pay for I came here for along time and I don’t think they cared about my bet more about how much they could get my bill up I have gotten another vet and got way better results I wouldn’t recommend these guys unless your willing to spend your whole Check for a little problem in my opinion they are in it for the money more then my pet which is why I left and suggest you do the same I have multiple friends told me same thing I showed another vet my bill and they laughed these people at Silicon Valley just over charge where I feel like I could have gone anywhere else and had a better time just my opinion hate me or not had to say it.

The staff and Dr. Gahra were so nice and gave wonderful treatment to my little shih tzu. They even stayed open later than usual business hours to ensure all the pets for the day were taken care of and sent home. It's so nice to actually meet the Dr. And get to speak to him personally .. it makes it very personable and comfy.

I went in for a bladder issue my cat was experiencing and walked out with a $1600 bill, my cat caught the flu from another sick cat at the vet (after an overnight stay), and another $500 bill for the negligence of contaminating my cat with another cat's flu. Not to mention, it got my other cat at home (who did not visit the vet) sick as well. When we told them our cat got sick after the overnight stay, they had the audacity to say he didn't get sick because of the overnight stay and tried to charge us the $260 respiratory infection panel even though all it would do is inform whether he has allergies. The meds wouldn't change at all based on that. While the vet was helpful in treating the bladder issue, it took constant nagging on our end to receive updates, we got inconsistent information from whoever answered the phone, and a general lack of trust in the operation that left me with a very sour taste in my mouth. That, and two sick cats. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend going to this vet.

I'm very pleased with this pet clinic. I brought my dogs in because they were due for dental cleanings. All the staff and Dr. Ghara were very sweet and gentle with them. My boy Hiro can be extremely feisty but Dr. Ghara's son Prabh was far and away the best vet to ever handle and calm him. Both dogs came out from cleanings/sedation with big smiles. I also appreciate Dr. Ghara being available to consult with me during the sedation procedure. He's very busy since this is one of the only clinics open late, but his ability to find time and consult with pet owners means a lot. Highly recommend!

RIP Lucky On July 26th, we lost our beloved 3.5-month old kitten because of this clinic’s negligence and unprofessionalism and we’re still in a deep shock. We came to Silicon Valley Pet Clinic for an x-ray and checkup because our kitten was limping, she was young and hyperactive and broke her hip during one of her jumps. A surgery was suggested to fix her fractured hip. We were under great stress and tried to do everything as soon as possible to help her. We spoke with a doctor with my wife and 17yo daughter all together before the surgery. There was not a word from the doctor or from other clinic personnel about the risks associated with anesthesia and the possible fatal outcome. The procedure was described as commonly performed on young pets and relatively simple. If we knew that it could lead to a fatal outcome, we would have taken our time and sought a second opinion They didn’t give us to sign any consent form about anesthesia or the procedure itself. They only care about money and making sure we signed transactions for 2k from our Care Credit account before anything started. After a couple of hours they took our kitten, we received a call informing us she died, which came as a complete shock. We later asked for the surgery notes or any details on what happened, and what was provided didn’t make sense. The timeline in their notes was completely different from the real times we received phone updates from them. From their brief description after administering anesthesia, the kitten’s vital started slowing, then according to them, she recovered but then 12 minutes later a second heart attack happened, and she died (in real time there was one hour between the phone calls informing us she was suffering heart attacks). When we asked what exactly they were doing between those two attacks, what medications and care were given, was anesthesia still being administering, they never gave us an answer. Before the procedure, they specifically asked us to pay for a blood test and notes from them indicated that everything was normal before the procedure. However, they didn’t do any blood test and didn’t provide us with any results, later saying they could not find them. Overall, how it looks from our side - they took in a young and healthy cat, didn’t warn us about any associated risks, most likely overdosed her during anesthesia and failed to provide any coherent details about the whole thing. They said that pet deaths at their clinic are very rare, not more than 2-3 in a year. However, we found many reviews showing the opposite, you can find these reviews on Yelp and Google. Only three weeks before our tragedy there was another death of a healthy dog, whose owners brought him to the simple lance procedure. The circumstances under which the dog died are exactly like ours. Very suspicious that it's two almost identical cases, within a few weeks apart. It seems like this clinic continues to kill animals because of their repeated mistakes and negligence. Another very troubling review was from a person applying to work there. This person simply called this place a slaughterhouse and warned against bringing your beloved one to this horrible place because the "clinic wants new employees to assist and do the procedures they are not qualified for or trained to do. The owner/doctor forbids any show of compassion for the pets or the owners." Please everybody, read all the bad reviews before deciding to take your fur baby here. We would really recommend ignoring all good reviews as there are many services offering fake good reviews from “real” geo-tagged people, 100% authentic. We were in rush to go there as all we were thinking at that moment was to help our kitten. Now (four weeks have passed) we are still deeply grieving, and we will never forgive ourself for not researching this place carefully. There are many good clinics offering emergency care 24/7 where you can get real professional help. Avoid this one at all costs! We are filing a complaint to the Veterinary board. These guys should not be allowed to be near animals!

I need to take my dog for international travel and she needs a lot of documents within a short period of time. Staff here are exceptionally reliable and helpful. They're patient in answering all my questions, giving suggestions and instructions on filing the documents, and they are very caring of my dog. I'm so glad I found this place!

They over charge so much. They dont give you a quote even for trivial services such as neutering. And then charge you $55 for office visit for no reason. Then they give their quote $300 for neutering which I am sure is not ever going to become 50$ if the office visit went any differently. They probably would hide behind terms like "that's the protocol". They are the perfect example for why Vets are a scam and embarassment in the Bay Area

Posting for my grandfather "I took my dog Braley to this facility for a simple lance procedure as she had an infection on her face. The staff failed to mention any fatal risk involved and called me several hours later stating she had died. The clinic stated she had suffered 2 heart attacks as a result of the anesthesia. We then decided to have her cremated through this facility. The following day, my daughter called the facility and verbally expressed this decision without any needing to provide any documentation or proof of identity other than knowing the name of the dog, to which the clinic found satisfactory and credible for this type of decision. Our family changed our minds later that day and we decided to take Braley to another facility for cremation services. This clinic proceeded to state Braley had already been sent out and was enroute to Sacramento to be cremated. We convinced the clinic to bring her back which they agreed to do stating "we'll have the truck turn around, and she'll be back around 7 pm tonight". I then waited in my car outside the clinic to see the truck pull in but no truck ever arrived and a phone call came in around 7 pm stating Braley's body had returned. It is evident to me that Braley never left the facility and they lied regarding her body's whereabouts. The following day as I was taking my car to the mechanic in the same complex, a very trashy looking employee exited the facility and saw my wife and myself nearby and proceeded to yell and swear at us using multiple profanities; accusing us of harassment, even though we were in the vicinity on completely unrelated business. This clinic is extremely shady, unprofessional, and in our experience conducts horrendous work. Would never recommend this facility to anyone, keep your pet away."
