Dr. Pearl was very thorough and explained things well. She made sure we understood her recommendations & protocols, and staff followed up the next day to see how our fur kids were doing. Overall a great experience - we’re confident we’re in good hands as new clients at this clinic.

The entire staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Kirksky provided me with the most thorough summary of my two dogs’ examination and vaccines. She thoughtfully shared her expertise on diet, teeth cleaning and other items I had no idea about as a dog owner. I would definitely recommend this practice to any per owner who wants full support from their vet!

I’ve had vets all over the country, and Montecito Pet Hospital is by far my favorite. It’s been a whole year since we’ve come in due to the pandemic and our main doctor remembered our pets, their personalities and dynamics, and was truly curious about their experiences through this time. Before I recently became a client of the amazing Montecito Pet Hospital, I had been using a different vet for the past 30 years. My past vet always answered the phone with, "Can you please hold?" I literally have my "sure" cued up and the extra time set aside. We got a new pup a couple of weeks ago. I called my former vet of 30 years and they said, "Can you hold please?" to which I replied, "Sure." When the technician came on the call I asked to speak to a doctor as I had a serious concern. The doctor was busy, understandably, so I asked that they return my call. 9 hours later the doctor called and left me a message to return his call. I called back immediately. I was asked, "Can you hold please?" to which I replied "You know, I'm tired of holding. I called you 9 hours ago with a serious issue and you I'm just done with your lack of concern and holding. So I called Montecito Pet Hospital. They answered the phone, offered me immediate access to an appointment, and I scheduled. When I arrived, they called me in my car and we talked. Then, they came and took my pup. After a bit, the doctor called me. Dr. Kirksey is wise, kind and cares just as much about our pets as we do. She kept talking, educating and answering questions until I was content. She spent almost 45 min with me on the phone and really dug into the problems that we were concerned about, addressed them, and our pup is so healthy and happy I can't tell you how pleased I am. It just takes passion, focus, and concern for patients well being and respect for their time to make a difference in this profession. Dr. Kirksey and her entire staff and colleagues are special. I am so happy I made the switch. P.S. I've called their office 6 times since and never once was asked to be put on hold. The office is always busy, bustling with patients, but they staff properly and the do things better.

The entire staff is amazing---loving and kind to you and your pets in any time of need. Sadly, my family just had to euthanize our cat because he had metastatic liver cancer, and there was nothing that could be done. Dr. Weikhart and her team were so kind and caring to my whole family---from the moment he was diagnosed to the day he died, they were there for us. We even got a lovely card in the mail with all the staff and Dr. Weikhart's messages of condolences. They really do go above and beyond, and we are so grateful to have them here in Montecito.

We have been going to Montecito Pet Hospital and Dr. Dave Dawson for over 10 years. Professional, knowledgeable and kind are most important to us and they score the highest in all categories.

The care that my labs receive in amazing. Nothing is missed when they have their annual check up. If they have a problem, the doctors are always available.
