Dr. Kuesis has always been very responsive to our needs. One never feels rushed in an appointment or when she phones to talk about test results etc. She is very knowledgeable and provides a wealth of information; she is open to all questions. She shows compassion for her patients and clients. The Medical Assistants and staff are always friendly and helpful. Our four dogs have been patients at La Cumbre Animal Hospital with Dr. Callahan before he retired and then with Dr. Kuesis. They were all cared for extremely well. I highly recommend La Cumbre Animal Hospital to those thinking of which veterinary hospital to trust there beloved pets with.

The staff at La Cumbre were organized, professional and genuinely kind at a time when I needed it most. My puppy had ingested some toxic fruit. It was a Saturday and the two emergency veterinary hospitals in town anticipated a six hour wait before he could be seen. One of them expected us to sit outside in our car the entire time presumably because they had concerns about having customers in their waiting room because of the pandemic. La Cumbre welcomed us in spite of the fact that it was late in the day. They contacted poison control, obtained the necessary lab tests and treated him. They were efficient, kind and professional. The new facilities were clean modern and welcoming. I will be going back.

I am a new puppy parent & they have been so amazing and very helpful providing me with answers to all of my questions. They always answer their phone lines and are always willing to help. When taking my puppy in for his first exam, they were very professional, attentive, and excellent with my puppy. They made me and my puppy feel very welcome & secure.

I must say this place is amazing! All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their job. The office is so nice and very welcoming. The girls at the front desk are great! Got both my dog and cat in for appts real quick. The girls in the back were awesome with our pets and answered all our questions and concerns. I’m so glad that we chose La Cumbre Animal Hospital. I highly recommend them to anyone who are for their pets as much as we do

My dogs have received care at La Cumbre for over 3 years. The vets have always been responsive and willing to find solutions - and available for small crises that suddenly erupt with my old dog. I thoroughly trust their are. I love how knowledgeable the staff is - they have a great capacity for handling questions, needs and are always enormously patient and helpful.

Moving to a new place is stressful, especially trying to find quality care for people and pets. LCAH was the best experience for me and my two dogs. Attentive, professional and great follow-up.

My pets have been taken care of by Dr. Kuesis and the staff of La Cumbre Animal Hospital since 2005. I would NEVER go any where else for their veterinarian care, Dr. Eve is the best vet I’ve ever known. Her medical expertise and professionalism is of the highest order as well as being extremely kind and very sensitive to all the different personalities of the animals I’ve brought to her for care. What I appreciate is that she gives options of treatments and costs of each after the diagnosis has been made. No hidden costs and no “pushing” of products. The entire staff, from the technicians who explain bandage care, the importance of managing the E-collars (also know as the cone of shame); they are courteous, kind and actually enjoy taking care of their clients. Follow up calls to make sure both pet and owner are doing well and that there are no problems or questions.

Great first experience. Extremely thorough conversation with vet about my kitty. Look forward to having them take care of my animals over the coming years!

These guys were absolutely amazing. This was my first time taking Ralphie to the vet. I’ve only had him a week so i was nervous bringing him out and trusting strangers w him, especially since I couldn’t go in with him (covid precautions). Every single person i spoke with was absolutely amazing. The vet was super personable and generous with her time/information and patient with every question i had. I’ll definitely be going back and recommend them highly.

After evaluating many animal clinics on Yelp we decided to go with LaCumbre Animal clinic. This was an excellent decision. Eva Kuesis is our Schnoodle’s vet and she shows a lot of concern and care for him. You can tell that she has been doing this for years and has a lot of expertise. The vet techs are also very friendly and gentle and make him feel much more relaxed. The prices seem to be on the higher end but I am not sure how they compares to other clinics in the area. They are transparent about the costs and do not make you feel pressured to do anything. So in the end it is definitely worth it to us. Plus the location is super convenient.

These guys doesn't even know how to put on a collar correctly, resulting in wounds on the dogs neck, if you want them to pay for the injuries THEY caused, you'll have to get it from them in court.

This is an amazing veterinary practice You will not find a more caring and professional staff per square foot anywhere

I can’t say enough good things about La Cumbre Animal hospital. They go above and beyond to learn your pet’s personality and how to keep them comfortable during exams and procedures. They are upfront on procedure costs (including if/then scenarios). Dr. Beverly Holmes in particular is a dream, I wouldn’t think of taking my dog anywhere else.

First visit for Baby. They are superlative!!! Explained unhurriedly, my options. Appreciated beyond this brief explanation. I HAVE placed LCAH as Baby's doctor!!! THAT should SAY it all.

I went to three or four different vets for my two bulldogs (Hugo & Ace) before settling on La Cumbre animal hospital. Dr Holmes was absolutely amazing and ALWAYS found time to fit us in for a vet appt. She is kind, caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. She really seemed to care about my dogs and always went above and beyond, even taking the occasional emergency call or text in the evening or weekend. Hugo and Ace have since passed, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Holmes and La Cumbre Animal Hospital.

Highly recommended by a friend when we brought home our puppy. They've been very responsive to our questions and calls. Always sending reminders for flea/ tick/ heartworm meds and various appointments. Our now one year old dog hurt his foot and they patched him up nicely and he's healing quickly. Vets in our area are generally more expensive so we used Humane Society for neutering but overall I haven't found LCAH prices too overwhelming and they're honest about costs prior to charging you.

It has been awhile since I have reviewed La Cumbre Animal Hospital; today 2020 here are my thoughts, they have not changed. All of the staff are professionals at doing their work, but what makes this “pet” hospital different from others is the way they care for our furry family members. When Dr. Holmes is busy we use Dr. Eve Kuesis. Our family trust both of these doctors to the healthcare of our “pets.” The staff and Doctors take time with our concerns and they have never rushed us out the door. My Black Lab, once in a life time dog, Siva was dying from cancer. We called La Cumbre Animal Hospital to see what we could do. Doctor, Annie came to the house with a staff member the same day. I have been with other dogs on their final days, but this time was different. We all cried. You see, La Cumbre Animal Hospital really does care about “our family,” even if they are four legged. Also I love that these Doctors go to lectures to learn more, and educating themselves on how to be better veterinarians.

UPDATE: I filed a lawsuit against LCAH seeking compensation for my out of pocket expenses to treat Max. The judge ruled in my favor and awarded a judgment against LCAH. They paid the judgment. Unfortunate that it had to get so far. …

LCAH is the only place I'd take my dog. Dr. Eve Keusis is one of Charlie's favorite people. She is clear about what she is treating him for and explains everything. From the check-in staff to meeting with Eve everything is professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks LCAH! Keep up the great work!

We've been clients of La Cumbra AH for over a decade. They are tremendous in both the quality of their care and their genuine concern for their patients (and their owners). You could not ask for a better and more conscientious vet.

Dr. Kuesis and La Cumbre Animal Hospital are always outstanding in the care of our ten year old beagle. They have taken care of him since he was a puppy and have always provided first rate care. Dr. Kuesis is exceptional and has such a caring and calming way with our dog. We highly recommend La Cumbre Animal Hospital.

Great place to bring your animal for high quality care you can trust. The staff are extremely helpful and thorough as well as friendly! You will not be disappointed! I personally have worked with Dr. Alonso and she was the perfect fit for me and my small rescue dog that I had to bring in. Also, later on they were very understanding when my animal had a sudden passing and they provided a lot of follow up care including handwritten staff sympathy cards, phone calls to see how I was doing, etc. It was something that really stood out to me as they care and understand how important our pets are to us!

After getting the advice of a much trusted and knowledgeable friend, I chose Las Cumbre Animal Hospital for my new puppy. I took her for her first veterinary visit this week. I was very happy with the the visit and impressed by the way the hospital is handling the COVID situation. The staff informed about how the visit would proceed, and everything went as described. everyone I interacted with was warm and welcoming. I was greeted curbside and my puppy was gently and lovingly handled as she was brought into the clinic. During the visit, Dr. Kuesis gave me more than ample time over the phone to discuss everything in detail. Puppy arrived back at the car happy.

Having left my vet of 20 years on the east coast, I was dubious of finding a replacement but the staff here were so friendly and my (telephonic) consult with dr. T was first class; he was very thorough, listened and offered solutions that hadn’t been discussed with me by my previous vet. I feel so fortunate to have found this practice and felt right at home immediately.

As a veterinary specialist in dermatology, I see referrals from all over central California. La Cumbre does a great job! I am concerned by some the reviews that I see here. No details or repetitive details. Is some one running a scam on this excellent practice?

Our senior cat is well taken care of, their comprehensive care is combined with an amazing front desk and tech staff. The animals in their waiting room are always relaxed, a good sign that La Cumbre makes a trip to the vet a happy one.
