Very friendly staff, too bad they don’t know what they’re doing. I work at a different pet hospital now and it’s safe to say I am upset I chose this VCA to take care of my puppy. They butchered my dogs neutering, which caused the ‘worst scrotal hematoma they’ve ever seen’. Yet they sent me home with him and told me to keep an eye on it. A day later it ruptured and I had to take him to the emergency hospital and they were shocked to see what happened. On top of that, my puppy got fleas while he was there:) But again, their front desk and vet techs are wonderful!

Friendly Staff. Busy. But I was able to get an appointment within a couple days. I have two 1 year old Iguanas. Sid and Nancy. I learned a lot from my first visit on animal husbandry. I was informed about different options & choices that could or should be made. I struggled finding a veterinarian who is knowledgeable not on just reptiles. But Iguanas Specifically

THIS PLACE IS TRULY AMAZING. did not have an appt, was never a patient here before, but they squeezed us in. Although this visit resulted with having to euthanize our 2 year old bunny, Dr. Sostrin is extremely knowledgeable, kind, professional, and one of a kind. 5 stars would definitely recommend.

We are new to this area and decided to try this place. We absolutely loved it! The vet, the vet assistant, and the front desk staff were all very kind and treated Clay like their own. I’m glad we found a local vet that we like as much as our previous one!

Incredibly incompetent and completely unwilling to give a second opinion or change their opinions of what the problem could be. Their staff at least was considerate of the cat when we brought her in, making sure the dog that was leaving did not see the cat--something many clinics do not do. That's about the only positive for this place. We brought our cat in because she was biting her tail and making it bleed. The receptionist laughed when we called to make an appointment. Apparently the receptionist had never heard of this common problem. After a cursory examination in which the vet said she couldn't find any wounds. Finally she found one on the tip of her tail. It was a small scab and the vet said we should get antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. The cost was $800+. For the smallest wound that already had a scab. As for the cause, she found some flea feces and so offered to sell us flea meds, but after seeing $800 for other meds, we decided to buy our own flea control. In total the vet was probably in the room 3 minutes. Very quick and not very thorough. A month passed and the cat occasionally bit her tail, but never so badly as before. We had given her flea medicine. Earlier this week she bit her tail again and hid somewhere. She continued biting and making it bleed, hissing and growling in pain all the while. She ran through the house. Finally we caught her and bought her a cone. We made another appointment, but the vet refused investigate anything other than fleas. We have 2 cats an conserved no scratching or fleas on either or in our carpets. We called the manager and asked ifnwr could get another vet There are dozens of causes for tail biting and this vet clinic was fixated on one. The manager was very unhelpful, parroting the vet. We learned more about causes/treatments from the store we bought the cone from the this vet clinic! Will never return. Stay away. We are trying the la cumbre animal hospital next. Seek shelter from the worldfloods anywhere other than Noah's.

I have brought my pets to these professionals at Noah's Ark for decades. The Vets and Vet Techs are SO kind to animals and owners, alike! Surgeries and immunizations have all gone smoothly. My cats and dogs are treated gently, and kindly. The Staff obviously love working with all animals (even the VERY nervous "patients"), and visits NEVER feel "rushed". Great place!

Always been really good to our baby boy. He's very timid around strangers yet let's them pick him up, pet him, give him shots he needs. It's never traumatic for him. They have a way with animals:) and affordable for those starting out. We got our cat in college. First appt free.

They didn't even know where to buy the animal treats they offer at the desk. I had the front person ask the back person & they both were stumped until we noticed the bags on the shelf behind me. Then finding the cost was the next problem. I went in for flea shot, asked a question as to my digs teeth & before I knew it they were changing my appointment to fir all from informal because my question required a doctor's answer, difference of $60. & A another half hour to wait, in which I was unaware of them doing without my consent. Then they seemed to get annoyed with me because I told them that I didn't want a full check up, & that I wasn't aware that my question would cause so much difference. They could if just said, would you like to make an appt for a full check up? Don't ya think?

Very sweet and caring. But that can be found at dozens of vets in Santa Barbara. When your animal is in pain, you need competency. After 2 visits and a very expensive referral to an opthamologist, I took my dog to his old vet in NorCal. She listened to his symptoms, looked at him and diagnosed that it was his neck in 5 minutes. She said any vet should have been able to make that diagnosis just by looking at him. We followed up with xrays, chiropractic adjustment and accupuncture. Bamm! My dog is better every day now. I'll never step foot in the place again.

Very great animal hospital, the nurses and doctor are very kind and you can tell they care. We took our cat Corina in to unfortunately be euthanized and the nurse was very gentle and kind with her and explained everything well. The doctor made the experience fast and easy and you could tell they both really cared about our girl. They both teared up when they had to inject her which im sure is never easy for them to do. I repect how well they took care of us and explained everything I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great vet that they can trust.

We took our 4 year old Lhasa apso/shitzhu here for a free first exam. We had some questions and concerns about various ailments, potential procedures, and other inquiries that we wanted clarity on, and we wanted to bring him in for a general checkup. The location was easily accessible and has its own parking. It was not crowded at all on a Saturday afternoon and they have tons of various treats for dogs and a fancy espresso/tea machine for humans. Every one of the staff was incredibly attentive, caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. Vanessa; the vets assistant, and Lauren; our veterinarian did an amazing job with the checkup from explaining everything, listening to our concerns and questions, caring for our dog, and putting in a plan for the future of our dogs well being. thank you so much! Picture is our happy Cosmo boy after the appointment.
