It's been a year since I was there. Horrible and traumatic experience. They told me my pet was fine, then 20 minutes later called again to tell me he was in immense pain actually and should be put down. It destroyed me, and then the person at the counter was apathetic and rude. They would not let me stay in the room while they put him down and today, one year later, they reminded me that I made the mistake of taking my pet there.

Had 2 emergencies w my teeny tiny Yorkie several months apart & both totally diff circumstances. Both times the entire staff was amazing. Caring. Understanding. Dr M Aramburu has a great bedside manner with my tiny baby & remembered her from her first visit! Great safe place to take your fur babies! THANK YOU FROM OUR FAMILY!

This place is great. I took my dog for grooming and it took way less and was cheaper than other places.

If I could rate this pet boarding facility a "0," I would. The manager, MARK, is the most unethical, unprofessional, disrespectful, unsavory and rude human being that I have ever met. I "strongly" recommend that you find another boarding facility for your pet. All of my conversations with this man were unprofessional, hostile and demeaning. He told me while on the phone with him "to never bring my pet back to South Coast Pet Hospital" even after paying them more than $300.00. Only if you "want" to be treated with DISRESPECT & DISHONOR, I would encourage you to bring your pet to this boarding facility. Lastly, I have to compliment every other member of the staff for their professionalism, care and treatment of my pet who is a vital member of my family. I will honor your request, MARK, and I will never bring my pet back to South Coast Pet Hospital.

overcharging cost me $300 for the vaccine, and even i had appointment ahead I still need to wait, then what is the point? They said if i have appointment I will only wait less than 30 mins.

This place is TRASH. I repeat DO NOT SEND YOUR PET HERE. their customer service is Trash. My cat needed flea medication and they denied my poor pet, because her annual examination was up. That is fine, I understand they need to make money, but I asked to get the flea medication and to schedule an appointment right NOW, so we're both happy; my pet gets flea medication and the vet gets an appointment with my pet. THEY SAID NO, DECLINED, SORRY YOUR PET CANT GET ANY MEDICINE. I repeat they refused medicine on my pet unless they saw her. Do NOT go to this place if your pet is your child like mine. Absolute trash.

Best Vet we’ve been to! Super accommodating with nervous dogs and their prices are good considering they are in an expensive area. With COVID, there has been a wait time for pick up, but nothing crazy, and it’s to be expected since most other Vet offices were closed. We recently moved away, but will still be making the drive to come here!

An awful experience. There was a mix-up between the office and the doctor about my cat's weight. The office reported 3.2 POUNDS while the doctor's notes reported 3.2 kg (approximately 7 pounds). Consequently, my cat was overdosed and nearly died. Also, I asked for one x-ray of his paw and they took 11 x-rays of his whole body and upped the bill approximately $300 additional. They said the radiologist would call me within 24 hours with the results, but they only called me 5 days later (at 9 p.m.) after I prompted them to do so and had asked for my money back. And it wasn't the radiologist who called, it was the office manager! When I physically went there to talk with the doctor who was not calling me back, I saw an office tech put a dog in a plastic collar into the back of an open air truck and watched the owner drive away, putting the animal in great danger. When I asked another of their techs if this illegal practice was common policy, she said, 'Sir, I don't know what our policies are here. We just kinda learn as we go." Stay away. Go anywhere but here.

I cannot thank this vet-hospital enough. My sister took our beloved maltipoo here for grooming and vet visits. She moved him from another vet clinic that was not very empathetic. He was a rescue and even though he was a puppy at heart he an older dog and had lost of accumulating health issues. Unfortunately we had to let him go. My sister was heartbroken to make the hardest decision of her young life. The staff was amazing and sympathized with her pain. It's horrible to loose a fur baby but I am glad there is vets like this that take their time to send their condolences. Thank you for your thoughts.

Today I felt so excited with what transpired in my experience of South Coast Pet Hospital after being concerned about the possibility of my 7 ½ year old bunny girl having GI Stasis. I took the advice from Caroline at Bunny Bunches to take immediate action to get her in to the veterinarian. I recently moved to Westminster from Orange and we had a bunny vet in Yorba Linda that was very good, however they didn’t have any openings and I knew that it would be wise for me to find a great bunny doctor that is a lot closer in case there is an emergency. Well, my two bunny kids will be adopting Matias Aramburu, DVM as their new primary care bunny doctor who specializes in geriatrics, internal medicine, personalized attentive care with a calming effect, a grounded approach with the innate wisdom of when to take an aggressive approach & when to conscientiously treat a problem (like GI Stasis). Before I made the call to South Coast Pet Hospital, I read all the reviews and I am in total agreement with the others that gave the 5 star reviews and I didn’t see any evidence of what would constitute a lower than 5 star review. When I talked with Dr. Aramburu by phone before he proceeded with Suri’s medical treatment, he had such a friendly & warm nature and he took the time to ask me questions, listened intently, reassured and responded to my questions. I felt that we resonated well together and since my bunny kids depend on me to advocate for them and to be a good mommy, it was so easy to understand his protocol and felt that we were definitely on the same page in taking the necessary steps to take conscientious care of Suri. And it is obviously working because the measures that he undertook to treat her in the office had an immediate effect of bringing her out of the lethargy. She has got her spunk back & is alert and responding to affection with a bazillion bunny kisses for me and her brother Arty & even went out on the patio to let her new doggy friend Bently give her love nudges. She has already started eating. Each member of Dr. A’s staff that I met today were so loving, warm, genuinely caring, professional and patient. This had a magical way of making this new & seemingly awkward or different COVID curbside drop off process so natural and the interaction with me as the bunny parent and my bunny children was expressed while maintaining the social distancing. Maddy & Mark took the time to explain about the medications and answer my questions clarifying timing, etc, so I can feel confident and comfortable with embarking on the next step of Suri’s healing recovery process as I administer her meds tomorrow. And Daniel was so wonderful to make sure that the necessary claim forms were faxed into Nationwide Insurance, to do whatever they could from their end to help expedite the reimbursement because the expense (even though was reasonable for what was done for Suri) was unexpected. A Bizillion Gratitude Hugs for a fantastic bunny doctor, Dr. Aramburu & his amazing staff, Gail Kawanami [Bunny mom to my precious bunny kids, Suri & Arty]

My dog got sick and our vet couldn't see her for 2 weeks, so we found South Coast Pet Hospital. They are doing curbside service. You call them when you get there and they come out and take your pet inside to see the doctor. The doctor then calls you while he's doing the examination. He's great and takes his time discussing the different treatment options. They are so nice and even called me yesterday to see how she was doing. (Great, by the way!) I highly recommend them and we are keeping them as our regular vet. Thanks guys, you're awesome!

We have (or more accurately, had) six dogs in our family and SCPH are great at keeping them huffing, puffing and barking. One dog had Addison's disease and thyroid disease so he took a lot of work. Two others were blind and diabetic, and a third furbaby had to have a cancerous tumour removed from his chest. All of these pups were well taken care of and never minded getting out of the car when we had to take them back. Moreover, we unfortunately have had to guide three of our pups over the rainbow bridge during this pandemic due to old age and the staff here have been very sympathetic and supportive throughout. Dr. A and Mark are great and Dr. Kumar and her husband (who started the practice and still are involved indirectly) were great people as well. If my dogs trust them after all they had to do to keep them alive and healthy then so should yours.

I ABSOLUTELY love this vet I used to take my old dog bender that has now passed :( at the old location by target,I take my 2 new mini schnauzers there i previously had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT AFFORDABLE ANIMAL HOSPITAL WITH ONE of my minis they told me he got all his shots turns out he didn’t get his rabies and thank god that south coast vet confirmed before getting him groomed and was able to squeeze him in to get his vaccine the same day as his grooming which made it less stressful for myself I didn’t get her name but she’s always very sweet, they are all always very friendly the whole staff front office is amazing answers all my questions the vet is amazing as well I’m just 100% satisfied I highly recommend anyone o go here they will take of your pets like if they where their own. Thank you for taking my mini same day for his vaccine with the pandemic it’s very stressful to come and go especially working from home thank you so much !

I got my first puppy last week, unfortunately after only having him for 2 days I saw symptoms of round worms and took him here because my friend brings his dogs here. Since it is my first puppy I had so many questions and everytime I called everyone was super friendly and helpful! And the doctor is amazing he explains everything thoroughly. Overall they been helping me with making my puppy feel better and be healthy! Highly recommend!
