Dr Cain is a canine reproductive specialist. She is one of the best in the country. She is very responsive and professional but also kind and gentle. Her love of animals is very apparent. Bishop Ranch is wonderful

I am VERY impressed with the care I’ve received here, Dr Cain really took the time to explain the breeding process with me for my English Bulldog Lucy. This is my first experience breeding her and I feel lucky to have found a hospital that is professional, knowledgeable and very clear about the process. I’ve had no problems scheduling appointments, it’s been easy to get answers to added questions or concerns I’ve had since my appointment. I’m so happy with the care and services provided I’m driving an hour and a half for the visits. Progesterone testing is every other day for 3-4 times. It’s 100% worth the drive knowing Lucy is in good hands throughout this experience.

Have been going to Bishop Ranch long before they were Bishop Ranch. Started with Drs. Utchin and DeLano in 1992. All the vets are wonderful doctors. They care a lot. Always been there for me and my babies. From strokes to seizures they give the best care. I'm very grateful for all the treatments they have given my dogs and cats over the many years. After not finding any openings at vets in the Oakland area where I live, I reached out to Bishop Ranch based on a recommendation. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment the same day with Dr. Sarah Santiago. Not only was Dr. Santiago the most kind, compassionate, and patient vet I've ever experienced, my nervous rescued pup did great with her! I was told that Dr. Santiago isn't always in the office or available so I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such a positive experience as a first timer at Bishop Ranch. They are worth the 30 minute drive from Oakland! Thank you for taking such great care of my pup!

I was really bummed about this place. I recently took my cat in because she has a growth in her shoulder. Not only did the doctor not get a strong enough sample , so I’ll have to pay for a biopsy twice, but she never followed up with communication for next steps. I left a voicemail and didn’t get a call back. So it was a waste of money. The rooms are also pretty dirty.

I have taken all of my pets to Bishop Ranch Veterinary since 2019 and they’ve been nothing but utterly incredible. They’ve helped me through a lot with my cats and their bedside manner, care, and communication are some of the best I’ve seen/experienced. I can’t recommend them enough. They’ve walked me through the end of life with pets and also helped me with maintaining healthy lives of my other ones. Their costs, transparency, and willingness to care are genuinely wonderful. They’re always happy to answer any questions you may have and have never steered me wrong. I’m grateful to have this place in my life.

I have seen many of the vets at Bishop Ranch and I always get the best service. I've been going for the last 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. This is the veterinary center that all the small vets send their patients to when they are closed.

My dog Ziggy (80-pound German Shepherd mix; rescue dog) had his most recent shots and check-up today. As always, the vets, technicians, and receptionists at BRV were fantastic. Three years ago, Dr. Wong saved Ziggy's life when his stomach detached from his stomach wall. After surgery, Ziggy became septic and was about 10% to live. BRV employees were VERY helpful and supportive--allowing me to stay/sleep in Ziggy's kennel even after normal visiting hours. After about 48-hours, Ziggy seemed to give up and we struggled to find food that he would eat. A fantastic technician, who seemed to be there nearly 24 hours per day, suggested baby food. Ziggy would not eat on his own, but we smeared baby food on our fingers and Ziggy slowly started eating. Ziggy is now very healthy and happy and we love GRV.

Dr Erin Scott is the most caring Vet Dr. She's very thorough when you visit regarding your pet's situation. She listens & doesn't rush you out of the visit. My angel kitty Princess is 15 yrs old with issues: Thyroid, IBD, going blind with detached retinas, renal issues (all under control with meds & special diet) & arthritis & is always treated with special needs care to keep Princess comfortable in her daily living. I couldn't have a better Dr for Princess. The loving care, positivity & knowledge she has, makes you feel comfortable in that you're doing the right thing to keep your pet as healthy as you can even if it's a special needs situation. Princess case appears to have strong indications that she'll be able to carry on with life comfortably as she has. She's my $10k kitty & worth the money I've spent on her these past 2 years. We're very thankful for Dr Erin Scott & know we're in excellent care as Princess & I take one day at a time. I really have a deep appreciation for Dr Erin's super kindness that she's with us every step of the way. The Bishop staff is always great too! I've been a part of Bishop Veterinary since 2001 I believe when I had other great Dr's & a angel kitty Mindycat prior to Princess that lived 21 years. Love the whole Bishop team! 10 Kudos stars! They were with me til the end with Mindycat & know they'll be with me when Princess takes her final rest.

I really trust Bishop Ranch team with my pups, I seem to use them more than my regular vet. They are very responsive and seem to really care about my dog. Little things, like her name on the bag of paperwork they send home, the extra treats included, and the follow up calls.

I just took our 7 year old yellow labrador in for an appointment when he was having an issue with his neck. Amazingly, I called on a Thursday afternoon and was able to get an appointment the next morning and we saw Dr. Stefanie Wong. I was so impressed with her as she was kind, caring, thorough, answered all my questions, and seemed very knowledgeable. My dog is feeling much better after taking the meds she prescribed.

Dr. Wong is the best Vetrinarian Oreo has ever worked with - kind, efficient, professional and personable. She answered all our questions, was pro-active in exploring non-prescription solutions, and Oreo was calm and loving the entire visit. Looking forward to working with her and her team again.

We saw Dr Caine (repro specialists) today for a consultation regarding my dog Max and his fertility. After checking him over and taking a collection she feels everything is good. She didn't feel she needed to take a culture. I asked about supplements, she said in her opinion there are no supplements on the market proven to be effective in increasing fertility in males or females. She offered and is going to do a chill test and a recount in 48 hours. Results will come. Today we received useful and quality information compared to another repro a couple of months ago. The reason we drove from Vallejo to San Ramon, because we know Dr. Erin Scott will try her best to make sure our family cats will always get the best treatment and love from her.
