Dr. Sekhon and her staff have earned our trust and have shown exemplary dedication and compassion in taking care of our furry family members. The immediate and caring responses alone are a rarity these days. Dr. Sekhon took time out of her busy day to call us, with in depth analysis and options and has continued to check in on our girl. Additionally, the cost of the medical services were extremely fair and again a rarity amongst the other vets, who appear to focus on the financial gain over following their oath to care for their patients. We are very grateful for your dedication and passion. Respectfully, The Guimaraes Family

The two times I've been here for my dog was an emergency visit and I've been very pleased with everything. I felt the pricing was fair and always gave me options. I'll definitely be back and recommend to all my friends n family. If you want great care for your animals too

We love our veterinarian at Gateway! She is so compassionate, gives us very detailed information as to what she recommends for our dog Hopi. We have much confidence in her care and knowledge.

Well I had to get a little help to get my dog to the veterinarian so I kind of understand that they didn't want to do blood tests or anything like that she really just kind of glanced at the dog I've had sores on him and I was very concerned I thought he almost died the night before his eyes started to roll into the back of his head as we sat down at the marina looking at the water so I quickly left that place and then I've been off earlier that day and they gave me a list of places in this was the only place that had a phone number where no a charitable Place had a phone number and they referred me to this Animal Hospital. I was sort of put out that they didn't even look at the dogs are getting here. I just explained what was going on and she said well it sounds like an allergy. I know allergy test and all that are very expensive. And I didn't expect them to do anything like that but I thought they might draw blood. My dog was freaking out by the way because when I was on vacation in a while back my sister was watching him and he was impaled by something and I guess they took him to a veterinarian hospital and it must have been very painful so he was really scared and he's my service dog so he still has a lot of good years left in him. Unfortunately veterinarian ca-89 year old dog and they figure they're already gone most of the time so she didn't want to spend much time on him it didn't seem like but I will give her one thing he did have sores they turned out at first of all as spots under a pair and the next day they were kind of like pushing his hair up and then the next day there was sores and that was the day he almost died that night seemed like. One more day I think it would have been really bad. She did turn out to be right she said give him Benadryl I gave him Benadryl it did go away. I just keep wondering what if it wasn't that I know cuz it seemed like it was just a guess on educating guests positive and like I said she was right so. I don't know how I felt about it and my feelings are mixed. I realized it was something they weren't getting paid as much or they might have been I'm not sure. I didn't have to pay much. And I kind of felt like that's why they weren't putting a lot of effort into it. But again she was right. That's why it's only three stars it's probably it could be a great place. I noticed there wasn't a lot of machines and stuff like that which I think is a great thing because of the pets for that should Aryans that have the machines and all that want to use them and they charge you to use them every time you bring a dog in for just about anything cuz I got to pay for those machines so in that sense I think it probably is a good place. and he's pretty good now although he seems a little worse for the wear and still worried about him. Okay that's all it was a long one sorry.

I went last week for the first time, my cat was due for vaccinations and since I've just moved to San Ramon I googled for a vet and saw it had two good reviews... there were different things that upset me during my visit but the worst is that my cat has been really sick for 3 days (more than what is typical after such shots). I was concerned and offered to return next week but she said it was ok. After consulting with another vet, I was told all 3 at once is not a good idea. Also, during the examination she checked his teeth for 5 seconds and told me he needed a dental cleaning (which is ok) and most likely some teeth pulled out... he has been visiting vets often and this is the first time I heard that he needed extractions. I was talking to our usual vet about this as well and she told me she was wrong about the extractions. I am concerned they were trying to recommend unneeded, additional procedures. On a positive note, the receptionist was really nice and helpful during my visit.

I highly recommend Gateway Pet Hospital and Dr. A Sekhon. I don't normally write reviews but feel fortunate to have discovered this place. My dog had an unexpected dental issue that needed immediate attention and our regular vet was …

Both Dr. Sekhon are wonderful and loving doctors. They took time to get my 10 month old kitten to warm up to them and exam was very gentle. They gave excellent advises regarding my cat's need and answered every questions I have. Would recommend all my friends to take their pets there!
