Dr. Sindell (?) was wonderful today when we had to put down our kitty, Cinnamon. Very compassionate and caring. We, and her sister Coriander, will grieve her for a long time, but knowing she is out of pain is a great relief. Thank you!

Dr. de Souza is the best. I have been to countless vets since my kitty was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. de Souza recommended an oncologist, and that oncologist cured my cat's cancer in a compassionate way (also 5 stars for Dr. Sabhlok at PESCM San Rafael). About a year later, my cat developed a respiratory illness. I tried to get in to see Dr. de Souza, but she was too busy. I wound up taking my kitty to two other vets who basically told me to sit tight and gave me antibiotics. Nothing worked. I finally just waited for an appointment with Dr. de Souza. She told me what was likely wrong with my cat, we did bloodwork, isolated some issues, and my cat got onto a meds regime that worked for her. I had no idea how special and rare great veterinary care is. After the last two years, now I know. Skip learning the hard way and just go see Dr. de Souza.

Back when Dr. Cosgrove ran the place it was the best in Marin, now, even though they have the same staff, the place and their policy's are horrible. Never bringing our animals there again. In one instance, my cat was having seizures and test's were run, nothing definitive was found and so I was TOLD by the doctor, that if my cat continued to have seizures that I should call back and they would prescribe some medicine. My cat continues to have seizures, I call back, and I'm told the doctor that saw my cat was no longer there and that I would need to bring my cat back for another appointment, ie spend more money for no reason, all they needed to do was transfer the chart to a doctor on staff and then the pills should have been prescribed, but no. Then our dog who needs flea medicine had a refill for Simprica flea medicine that was expired by a few months, I call to get a refill prescribed and I'm told the dog would need to come down and be seen in order to have the medicine prescribed, again this just strikes me a s money grubbing business policy and not care, I will be bringing our animals to Westend from now on.

Dr Sindell is a wise and wonderful veterinarian. She is intelligent and patient and gives good advice. She understands the love and responsibility that is part of having a dog.

I brought my dog in for evaluation (he was very sick), Dr Ringer spent 40 min with him and gave me a $2000 list of tests and medicines but couldn't explain why or what it would tell me. When I questioned her she became belligerent and defensive. The staff confirmed that working with sick animals is beyond their scope. This was a traumatic experience for both me and my poor dog.

First time here, new patient with a free first visit coupon. They were so kind and accommodating!!!! This is our new vet!!! AND they have a monthly option for just over $100 that includes tooth cleaning! If you know about tooth cleaning prices, it's about 1k or more, so this plan is super excellent!!!!

This place is HORRIBLE! It may have been better in the oast, but check the recent reviews. Our pet was just seen 6 months ago for an annual checkup and we refilled his regular prescriptions. We normally buy a 12 months supply at a time, but this time they didn’t have enough in stock so I’d need to come back in 6 months. I didn’t think anything of it, other than HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE A SUPPLY OF ROUTINE FLEA AND TICK MEDS?!?! So now I’m ready to refill and I come across Chewy.com and they are EXCELLENT. Their prices are cheaper and they offer fast easy service. I got a call from my vet saying that De Sachs has left the company and so they are not able to refill my prescription through Chewy.com. My pet needs to come in for another annual exam even though it’s only been 6 months since his last exam AND his prescription is still on file!! So I protest and the person on the phone has the audacity to tell me that they will honor the prescription but I will need to come in and buy the meds from them directly. They won’t give me my pet’s prescription to buy his meds on Chewy.com but instead want to force me into another pet exam cost or buy the meds from them. The WELLNESS of your pet is of ZERO IMPORTANCE to them. Don’t be fooled by their name. Ever since VCA came and took over a once amazing locally owned clinic, now it’s HORRIBLE... BEWARE!

Lauren Marra VMD is a wonderful person and professional: smart, knowledgeable, kind and a great listener and communicator. We're so happy to have found her..... and so is our dog, who is not a fan of vet visits and invasive procedures. She was awesome with him! 4 other staff members we met during the visit were also really nice!

Unfortunately we had to put our cat to sleep and from the time we called to gather information they were not only helpful but they were understanding and kind . They are currently practicing all the covid protocols. I highly recommend vca for a vet .

Dr Ringer is taking such great care of our 13 year old boy. We adopted him a few days ago and she took her time listening to what we were told about him and then she did a through examination and told us what she observed and a treatment plan. We are so grateful to Dr Ringer and the clinic for their kindness and attention.

Dr. Karen de Souza is an amazing vet. It has been years (like 40) since I have been as satisfied with an animal hospital. Found Karen a week before moving from Marin back to SF. Still plan to use her for my boys ( Streak & Smudge). Thank you Karen!

The kindness shown by all veterinarians and staff members is unparalleled. We’ve had two emergencies with our little doggie Ruby and always felt in safe hands. We’ve mostly worked with Amy and we love her. She is kind, gentle and very clear when explaining a situation. I’ve emailed her with questions and have always received an answer. I couldn’t recommend VCA of Marin enough.

A friend of mine had her pet killed in a weird accident and brought it here to her vet to have it cremated and returned to her in a decorative box. Two weeks later, after hearing nothing from the vet, she called to follow up. She got no response. A few days later she received a letter from the crematorium that her pet had been buried with other animals. The vet had given the crematorium the wrong instructions. This maybe could have been avoided if they had followed up after she called them the first time. But no. They apologized and returned her money but she has lost her pet twice. There's no way to fix it. It's negligent and disorganized. Beware.

A wonderful experience! Everyone is very friendly, especially the office staff, and professional. We've had a wonderful experience here, and I'd recommend them to everyone. It's easy to refill my dog's medicine via text, and they are always quick to respond. The vet, Dr. de Souza, even sends follow-up texts periodically to check up on his progress. She's very thoughtful, kind, and thorough.

I'm so thankful to Dr. Erin Siek and the staff of Animal Wellness Center of Marin. I'm impressed by how the front desk can juggle efficient, kind and patient at the same time. I appreciate Dr. Siek's attention to detail, her expertise, kindness and compassion. She is great with follow up calls and with calls to check in. Dr. Siek and the staff are great about questions. My English Bulldog Marilyn Monroe is in good hands. We all feel cared for.

Horrible new vet. there at AWC. Her name is Dr. Viru Gopisetty. I brought my 9 year old dog in on Friday to have a foxtail removed. I had a very bad feeling from the start. She was wearing black velvet shoes and black pants with gold piping. She was more concerned about getting dirty then she was about my dogs. When I left she was very concerned that I knew what the cost would be. I have 3 dogs who come in frequently during the summer for foxtails. I had another dog with me but decided to wait to see my regular doctor, Terry Cosgrove (excellent by the way). Dr. Viru Gopisetty called me about an hour after dropping off my dog to tell me he had died. No feeling, no I'm so sorry, nothing. DON'T BRING YOUR DOG IN TO SEE THIS WOMAN!

Dr.Erin Sieck is the best! Her kindness, compassion and expertise are exceptional . She helped me make some very difficult but ultimately right decisions for my dog. I also love that the clinic has a practitioner who is knowledgeable about acupuncture and homeopathy.

Loving care for my two dogs while being totally professional in their approach. Willing to find appropriate help when outside of their area of expertise. They will always be my "go to" vets and I would recommend them highly.

They are competent but not one smile among the 6 people I saw. Wait ! Maybe the lady who trimmed my cat's nails had a smile - but the front desk, the "Dr." and his main asst. had a tortured look about them! I believe animal Dr.'s should act a little more upbeat/friendly. They had the look of the 1st people onsite after the Fukushima disaster, discovering the extent of the body count !
