VCA Animal Care Clinic San Pablo, California

VCA Animal Care Clinic is hands down the best animal clinic I've ever been to. The staff is amazing, knowledgable, compassionate, and have gone above and beyond every time my pet needs to urgently see a doctor. Dr. Evans saved my pet's life by removing the cancer found in my pet's leg that was causing so much pain. Thank god for Dr. LeFevre she found the cancer early and gave me all treatment options to make sure my pet lives the best life possible. It's been 6 months since his surgery and my pet is happier than ever! I owe it all to VCA Animal Care Clinic in San Pablo! Thank you for everything!

This clinic has changed for the worse since VCA commercialized it. So sad. I have been a regular frequent client with multiple pets. When Dr. Evans owned and ran the place, it was 5 stars. It has gone downhill fast, not just related to covid as an excuse. Poor phone service. Its nearly impossible to get ahold of a human being anymore. When someone finally speaks, they have appointments for weeks and weeks away. Just to simply weigh your dog takes two weeks. Oh its a "technician appointment" to simply get flea control. Its really a handicap just to get simple service. I dont know why its not managed the same as before, but its sure frustrating.

Second time I came early for my two appointments and waited 40+ mins I’m leaving if they are not out in 5 mins. I can’t have my dogs waiting in a car in hot weather for over 25 mins. This is ridiculous. Why is it so hard to get proper care and service these days?

The manager did not care about my incident with VCA and didn’t care to accommodate. The workers did not ask the right questions and they give misleading information.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE VCA Animal Care Clinic!! They are the best at what they do!! I got a new puppy , and they are totally booked for appointments right now which saddens me because I will have to get the puppies shots elsewhere ???? VCA actually cares about your animal, they are always super friendly and are always trying to help with your financial situation! They’ve helped me out with every pet I’ve ever owned professionally and with extreme passion for my animals and situation ! My family has been using them for as long as I can remember! No matter where I’m at in the Bay Area I will always come back to VCA!! Thanks for being awesome and loving my pets the same way I do ❤️

I'm ok with the vet.

I had many questions and concerns regarding my dog's injured paw when I called Animal Care Clinic this morning. She was seen and treated there yesterday and I had some follow up questions this morning. Enrique answered the phone. He was very compassionate, knowledgable, resourceful, and professional. He took the time to answer all my concerns thoroughly. He showed excellent customer service in my opinion. I would highly recommend this place.

VCA Animal Care Clinic has been absolutely fantastic for our cat Charlie. The vets and staff are super friendly and helpful, providing detailed overviews of Charlie's care and how to keep him at his best. For every treatment, the staff has explained what they recommended along with the cost and asked for my approval before moving forward. And both times Charlie went in for specific treatments someone called the next day to check on him. So pleased this excellent vet is only a 5 minute drive away.

The staff is extremely rude and not cooperative

I'm one of the first 200 clients they got, forty years ago and I'm still bringing my pets there. Totally trust them & have gotten to know them.

Everyone is very nice and professional. They have the best customer service of any pet clinic I have ever been to!

Great animal hospital with A+ customer service. I had an emergency where one of my outdoor cats had a serious injury and they saw him within 30 minutes of my call and was able to provide life saving surgery. Everyone I worked with in the hospital was amazing.

Genesis and Dr Yang took the time to help our fur baby during her time of need. Thank you!

I have 3 dogs ???? SISI. SHADOW. SHAGGY in this place for common reasons check outs... Customers service was so BAD & RUDE but they are doing well in the last year.... ????????????

Some employees are not so nice to people as to dogs, but Carry is excellent, she really helped, thank you very much!

Wow this clinic help my dog get better fast he was very sick. The staff is very kind and helpful. They have very nice customer service. Thank you all for making our Cooper feel better. Much love to you all.

I give 4.5 stars. They have always been professional, never a bad experience. I take both my cats every year for multiple shots, and when they get themselves into trouble. I feel like they are up-to-date with technology and I love the email reminders about my cats' upcoming preventative care needs. Occasionally (only since covid) we have waited longer than I'd like, but that probably depends on the day and their schedule. They are a bit more pricey than others in the area, but I believe the extra money is worth the attention we receive.

my little rescue dog was attacked and had his ankle bones shattered. Berk Dog&Cat charged me $1000 for a splint (that fell right off) x-ray, antibiotics and a referral to a surgeon who wanted $200 to just look at Poppets films. Mark and Crystal at VCA ACTUALLY RESET Poppets bones MANUALLY, put a cast on him and Poppet was able to actually RUN the next day!!! total cost w anesthesia, $800! That was 9 years ago and Poppet is 100% and is showing no signs of arthritis! Lesson learned; Less is best when a Dr cares! VCA also works w rescue groups providing affordable care. VCA is a rare and wonderful find among vets who notoriously over test and grossly overcharge.

They answered my questions but needed to sound friendly not mad but I used their service and they have great vets

They always take care of my pups. They were able to squeezed me to get an allergy shoot for one of my doggies.

I took my female dog on Wednesday June 24th Because she was coughing supposedly they gonna help us to lower the expenses They ending charging us $848.58 plus other medicines that I paid separate. My dog still in bad condition all they do Did not help my dog They just care the money not the dog When I was talking by phone with them I heard on the background someone saying that they make a mistake also when my wife went back to picking up 2 prescriptions the lady mentioned that they spayed the dog What I’m thinking is that they are very negligent Stay away from this animals clinic

My two 5 months pupies are well taken care here, customer service is kinda slow you call and immediately first second they put you on hold for minutes... don't know yet how is inside the clinic cause pandemic situation but hope it's better than the phone answering.

I called to get my dog a bath. The groomer was able to take me in an hour after I called and an hour later my dog was bathed smelling nice and ready to come back home. The groomer was very friendly and the price was reasonable

From start to finish, while this clinic is VERY BUSY, they handled my situation with personal care. I was kept in the loop professionally, as the doctors and care workers of my Cat, as well as personally, making sure that I had information as quickly as possible, even when not convenient to their schedule. I cannot begin to tell all of you there how much I appreciated your bedside manner, your promptness, and your soothing phone voices. You go dudes.

My dog was spayed here. Everyone I talked to at VCA was so kind, and our dog is doing great.

There great with pets treat them like family

Called and told the lady I’m having an emergency with my dog and she was absolutely rude said this is not an emergency place you need to call emergency as if I don’t know that all the emergency places right now are full and down doctors so they suggested that I call and try to see if I can get in with a local vet and this lady didn’t even recommend me to a place she just said we’re booked until August have a nice day.

Had to put my pet to sleep and the vet showed excellent empathy. She did not rush but let us have the time we needed.
