Nice little vet office! Always very helpful!

Excellent doctor. My middle aged cat wasn't well and the doctor figured out quickly hes having kidney problems. Doc started Hobbes on sub Cu fluids. Kitty much improved already!

Best vet ever, Great people, all caring. Used them for many years and many animals. Moved out of area and haven't found any vet. that comes close to them.

I have 5 years RVT (veterinary technician) experience working at an Orange County animal hospital. When I moved back to north San Diego, I chose to start taking my pets back to our (entire) family's vet of choice- Dr. Young at Discovery Valley AH. I absolutely love this place & appreciate Dr. Young's amazingly kind, quick but thorough "bedside manner". My grandparents have been taking their dachshunds to Dr. Young for about 15+ years! We have an aging big dog & Dr. Young is wonderful in helping us give our older pound pup the best care without breaking our limited budget. He also takes care to listen & offers effective, affordable medications that don't mess with our dog's mental state. Instead of sore, arthritic hips & knees, our 110-pound furbaby seems to be happier & moves around much better. We will ALL continue to take our 5+ pups & 2 kitties to Dr. Young & DVAH for as long as we have pets :)

WOW! This is the Vet's office you've been looking for! Kind and caring, honest and experienced, patient, willing to explain and tell you the truth (kindly) about your pet. The whole team is amazing, Lauren is so loving and fun, truly an animal lover (and 100% competent tech). Laura was a great tech too. The person at the front was friendly, helpful and competent too (sorry, didn't get your name). Dr. Young is incredible. We brought in our older cat with kidney failure for a re-check after having to take him to the kitty ER. Dr. Young listened to all we had to say, looked over all the paperwork we brought, and answered all our questions completely. He put to rest our fears about needing expensive tests, and helped us create a very practical treatment plan moving forward for our kitty. Dr. Young was honest and told us how the disease will progress, and about how much longer we can expect to have our kitty with us. He educated us about the progression of this disease so we will know what to look for and what to do when our kitty gets in distress. Most wonderfully, Dr. Young assured us he will be there (and his team) to support us and our kitty through the whole thing. What a huge relief to know we will have actual help without being told we have to spend thousands of dollar or will not get help! This is a team of true animal lovers. We are SO glad we tried Discovery Valley and wish we had gone here sooner. Kind of cool side note: Dr. Young treats exotic animals too, so you just might see an unusual visitor in the waiting room. :) On the flip side, we were kept waiting a bit, but Lauren came in and explained, so we knew what was going on. This is not a fancy, high tech, fully decked-out big modern office -- so if that's what you are looking for, this is not the vet for you. If you are looking for a genuine, knowledgeable, kind team where your animal comes first, this is the place for you. Prices are reasonable too. Thank you Discovery Valley Animal Hospital.

I really appreciate the care and compassion that Dr. Young has shown every single time I have taken one of my cats to him. His team is also very nice and careful with my pets. Dr. Young is super knowledgeable, always has explained to me what's going on, has given me cheaper options, has never been pushy with unnecessary treatments, etc. I feel that I can trust him when I take my babies there.

(From my 15 year old) Dr. Young saved my guinea pig! He was the only vet that could see my guinea pig quickly (he was not able to eat or drink). he called us and helped us understand the problem. We were concerned about how expensive it would be. He helped make it affordable and he took time to help us understand the problem. He took the time to share his knowledge and he was very kind. Thank you for helping save my Half Pint today. I am very grateful.

I took my cat there for a second opinion about his locating patella and the vet brought in a board certified orthopedic surgeon to evaluate him. I decided to go with Discovery Valley Animal Hospital for my cats surgery because of the professionalism, care, and expertise in the type of surgery my cat needed. The vet brings someone who specializes in surgeries he knows will do an exceptional job. The price for the surgery was also reasonable and my cat recovered very nicely. It's been over a year and he's doing great!

Unfortunately my hamster wasn’t doing very well so I took him here. The vet staff was very professional and though I was very sad they made me feel a lot better. Dr. Young spoke to me over the phone and reassured me that I took good care of my pet and that I did nothing wrong.

our dog had round patcher on his body. We took him to another vet that just told us that it was a flee allergy with no medication. Dr young spend an hour on the phone with us explaining the issue with our dog and gave us pills for him

The Dr and Laura are the most caring people in pet care I know... actually they are awesome people... watch out Kaiser... I wish they could see me!!

The Dr here is the literal best and cares so much about the animals. Very very knowledgeable, provides and offers extra assistance if a difficult situation arrives. We've been taking our dogs here, as well as we've brought in our rabbits when we had them, and have almost received top notch A+ care. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a veterinarian or unsure about the current one you're seeing

Took my bearded dragon here today they fit us in last minute, it was a long drive but worth it, left with some antibiotics and pain meds to help my dragon. The staff was amazing as well. Everyone was so kind and dr young was very knowledgeable. This was place recommended by LLL reptile as their go to reptile vet. Worth it and very reasonable prices.

Dr. Young and the Discovery Valley Animal Hospital staff have been caring for our family pets for over a decade. From annual exams to various surgeries and, honestly, pretty much everything in between they have been our primary vet. When a specialist is in need, they offer referrals to other trusted and reputable facilities. Doctor and staff are professional and compassionate while providing the best care and veterinary medical advice. I have recommended to family, friends and strangers and will continue to do so.

Thanks again for my 41 year old African grey he is in great shape has the most weight he has ever been and Dr. Young is the best explains everything and talks to you and explains to me every question I have glad. I found them 4 years ago and they take Jacks Nationwide Inc there are the only ones who do take Exotics animals.

I've been taking my pet here for almost 10 years. Both my previous cat and my current cat. Dr. Young and staff have always been compassionate and caring. I wouldn't trust any other Veterinarian at all. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Dr. Young and the team are wonderful. They are so kind, attentive, pro-active, and reasonable. All 6 of my dogs have been to the vet here for routine, and not-so-routine care. Every time I have a positive experience and my dogs are well cared for.
