Amazing iris blooms every color imagable wonderful place to just wander around slow pace so can see the hundreds of blooms well worth the windy uphill road to get there. Plan on staying awhile for iris and the grand view bring water a snack or lunch nice picnic area. I'll stay all day next year!!

It was a spectacular experience to see blooming flowers. I will definitely buy the plants from there when i move to a house with the garden. Anyway! Love the horses in the green valley and there is complementary coffee who wants to enjoy the view with the coffee ????. I highly recommend that place ????, it just 7 miles drive from San Jose downtown.

I loved the place. If I lost something in the past 40 years, I think I could find it there. What a collection of nothing. Cars, trucks jeeps all kinds of vehicles in all conditions. Buildings here an there. A few horses some cattle also. Like going back a few years plus. There is no order I can see, but there really must be. I loved it just a working farm, plus the flowers. If you see one flower you have seen them all. I remember when the gardens were off bird avenue in San Jose. The street names tell the story. You will think you are lost. But be fore you know it you are there. We're ever that is. The picture in the paper I never found that section. But an interest ride. Interesting to say the least. As for the picture that is what I got for "FREE" , SAFEWAY, new game.

Nola's Iris Garden - located in the San Jose foothills on Sierra Road. About five acres of beautiful bearded iris, along with horse boarding facility. Nola was there greeting people, and graciously answering questions from everyone. They have a covered open patio with chairs and benches overlooking the gardens and view of the valley below. You may bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the afternoon, take as many photos as you want..this is free and open to the public for a few months in Spring. You may add your email to their mailing list, and may purchase irises after the season is over. I believe there were light refreshments, and you may make a donation in appreciation of your experience. We donated 10.00...well worth it!! Thank you Nola for sharing a little piece of heaven.

I think it has been renamed as Chaparral Ranch. Visited the farm and saw a number of different farm animals, such as horses, a cow calf, chicken, turkey, some goats. Our daughter rode on a pony, and enjoyed it a lot. Note that horse riding is only for kids aged 2 and above. Overall good experience and worth the 1.5 hour walking on the farm. We recommend doing all you can to protect yourself from the sun, as there is not a lot of shade. The soil is pretty dry and when the wind blows, some dirt is dispersed in the air, and our little girl coughed a little.

Spectacular view with breathtaking blooming iris in the foreground. I felt free to walk about at my pace. No one hurried me, but Nola made sure to greet every visitor and answer questions for them. There are plenty of beautiful spots to have a picnic, which I did. I loved the whole experience.

Beautiful place with great view from garden! Stunning Iris flowers.

Their irises are very high quality at fair prices. Since they dig out the bulbs right before shipping, the bulbs are still fresh with living roots at arrival, which I suppose would make happier irises compared to the dry bulbs sold at stores. Make sure you check their facebook page before placing order. They usually post their digging and shipping schedule there.

They let my gelding starve! Wasn't fed provided grain & bullied out of hay. He dropped over 200 lbs in three weeks to visible skeletal structure!
