It was a really nice, enjoyable experience to go sit and play with the cats. There were a lot of them and volunteers were regularly bringing kittens over to us in our area. We even got a few extra minutes with the kitties, but that might be because it wasn't overly busy. I do have an issue with the price to adopt a cat from there though, it's 2x-4x more expensive than any other rescue organization in San Jose.

We love this place, it’s nice to play with the cats and support the cause. Everyone is so sweet except for the old lady, so much attitude and snarky remarks.

Love the place but it's super expensive

This place is insane. Imagine a cat gymnasium with friendlyhuman coaches playfully enticing dozens of cats and kittens to play. Don't spend too much time here or you will adapt to cat which is a course the point

I would give 0 star if I could. We went there yesterday at 6pm and they were just closed. we were told that they usually opens till 7pm but the mall closes at 6 because of New Year’s Eve. And they also told us they will open till 7pm the day after. So we came here today at 6 again and they have already closed. We wave hands to the staff inside and they pretended not seeing us and not respond at all. Does NGO suppose to work like that?? Lying about opening time, closing the store at random time, super unprofessional and irresponsible

If you show show up at 30 minutes to closing instead of 31 minutes they won't let you in. 1 star, but the cute cats add a star.

Excellent adoption agency for cats! They treat the cats with love and kindness, while trying to find good homes for them!

Very large space, and everyone is wearing masks responsibly. Areas are marked to prevent other ppl from coming near you. This is nice for feeling pandemic comfort, and also because at other cat cafes I so often have other ppl coming up and pestering cats that are chilling with me, which disturbs them and chases them off. Little kids, especially. : ) I've been to cat cafes in several cities, but this was the BEST.

I'm so glad they added this place to the mall. I hope many kittens and cats find homes. This place is so welcoming and I love the atmosphere it brings to the mall. Wonderful idea. We need one in Fresno.

For the low, low price of $15, you too can spend half an hour surrounded by several dozen cats and kittens. Better than therapy ????

I've been following Mini Cat Town on IG and FB for a few years now and being in the area on vacation, I HAD to visit! My boyfriend and I spent 30 glorious minutes with the kitties. The volunteers there were very friendly and personable. Highly recommend if you want to surround yourself with cuteness!

We got our adorable Ethan and Dawn 7 months ago, they were 3 months old. They really take care of these kittens, most of them they get them since they're newborns, they're so dedicated to their care, since some of them have to be fed with formula, and that's a lot of work and have to teach them everything mom cat should've teach them. They keep them healthy and clean. They also provide the best food, great toys, litter, etc. I highly recommend this place! Blesses to all of them for taking good care of these beautiful kittens! Thank you Mini Cat Town!

Mini Cat Town is not only a great place to visit with cats but a great organization in general. I have adopted two kittens from them , one before they had their adoption floor and one after. Each time the owners were so friendly and they make sure we a very capable adopters and they take great care of the kittens. Thank you Mini Cat Town for saving our babies, Reese and Emmie!

I am a little confused on the adoption requirements. They have you fill out a long application that is very detailed—which, granted, this is a life-altering decision for both you and the cat, so the process should detailed in my opinion. However, they tell you that they don’t give you a reason why you’ve been rejected from the application process. They just reject your application all-together. I was very thorough and honest. And I believe my history accounts well for what I know about cats of all ages, types, and histories. I’ve been a cat rescuer my entire life. I’ve cared for all kinds of cats and had them live very long, healthy lives. I just wanted to adopt again because my baby passed of old age in 2019 and after grieving I’ve thought about adopting again. I even babysit my neighbor’s cats now. Also, after reading the reviews about then hogging the animals and not being clear which cats are available for adoption despite the website telling you which ones are, I don’t feel confident about this place anymore. Which, also, I wanted to adopt a specific kitty and applied for it but there is no indicator on the application asking you which one you want, you just click the apply button under the kitten’s page and it brings you to a general application. I found that weird if I wanted to adopt a specific kitten. Plus, they don’t reply to Instagram messages even though they ask the viewers questions and opinions. I messaged them privately about adopting and they never responded until I made a comment that I made a message and they just told me to apply. I guess I’ll just be taking my business elsewhere, especially because the reviews about adoption are not promising. The reviews about spending time with the cats and not adopting are so-so. So I do not feel confident in this place. What I want to know is, how do they choose adopters? What makes others better than the rest?

What a terrible place. How they treat potential adopters. Sending you a denial letter and they don't 'have to give you a reason?' How rude and unprofessional. This is troubling and disheartening for anyone wanting to adopt a new kitten, has had a loss of a pet and just plain mean. I have a lot of heart rescued many animals. I'll deal with a caring, animal organization. Not one who comes across as mean, unfriendly and UNcaring. From some of the reviews I've read this place shouldn't be in business how sad.... Go to the Humane Society, where they're truly animal lovers and cares for the little angels in feathers and fur... what a terriblely unprofessional place ..beware

A great organization with an awesome goal. Plus, it's a room full of kittens, what can be bad

Mini Cat Town is one of the best cat adoption services in the Bay Area. They work with the San Jose animal care center and run a cat-cafe style service in Eastridge mall. We've visited a lot of times, and they have all treated us exceptionally well, and the kittens have been the sweetest little babies. Definitely worth a visit (or three!) and also a good cause to donate to.
