Gussied Up Dog Boutique San Jose, California

First time pet owner and first time visiting this boutique on 1/7 to purchase my puppy’s 1st bday goodies. I purchased a sweater ($37) and one of those Teck Summit 3M water repellent jackets ($98). Well I have a Frenchie and they didn’t fit him. I went in today 1/16 to return them and was informed I could get store credit. No where on the receipt does it specify their return policy nor their non-exiting website. The cashier pointed to a 4x6 frame with their return policy that’s to the side on their counter behind the greeting cards. After telling the cashier that their return policy is not evident and also wasn’t informed upon purchase of the items, she responded with, “we’ve had this policy for 19 years since we opened.” Well, that wouldn’t concern me if I’m a first time pet owner - now would it?! I’m now stuck with store credit. Horrible customer service!!

Extremely friendly people at the store that helped me pick a cake for my dog’s birthday as well as shared anecdotes about their own dogs. My dog loved the cake! Relatively decent pricing given the area they’re in. Would def go back again to get other baked goods for my dog.

Wish there was an update on Google it is closed during COVID I guess. There was no info on there door either. Bummed since I came from the other side of town.

I would like to give a great thank you to the owner of the Gussied Up Dog Boutique for helping me make my dog Buster's 2nd birthday special. I definitely will be back next month for another birthday cake for my dog Nena, who will be four. My dog's both loved the cake and treats sold at this boutique.

What a great dog boutique! They have the best selection of harnesses for small to medium dogs I've ever seen. They also have a great selection of quality coats/sweaters for all sized dogs. They carry bowsers dog beds which has been my favorite brand for several years now. They also stock super cute dog cakes for special occasions. Staff was kind, helpful and patient with my many questions and looking through all of their products. I saw some of my favorite brands here as well as a few new ones I haven't seen anywhere else. I would definitely recommend them.

They have stuff what no one else has.

Just don't shop here. The owner might have cute things however upon searching other reviews here, I'm having the same issue as others who wrote bad reviews. I purchased a hunter dog carrier a couple weeks ago at this boutique because my shiba has been put on restricted/ limited activity by her vet. Not only is the item flawed, (not enough support for anything in the carrier, my dogs limp worsened after 20 mins in it), it's an 86$ carrier that goes wasted, unused, along with my money--it's wasteful and bad business to not practice common sense in dealing with customers and business. This item was used once. There is no good reason that will convince me it is ok to operate this way. I offered in exchange to purchase a car seat to off seat any inconvenience. Kim, I hope you enjoy my money, I don't expect a return call from you as I requested after reading other reviews. You have not only lost me as a customer but I will make certain my friends don't set foot in your store.--you don't deserve any loyalty in business when you don't take care of you customers. Petfood Express sells birthday treats and there is always online shopping to find what you're looking for.

This place is absolutely adorable! They have stuff that you couldn't find in normal pet places, and the birthday section is to die for. The customer service there is always amazing! I love the atmosphere and the street that it's on is very cute oh, it's close to a lot of food places! My only issue is it is a bit overpriced

This is a shop I take my dog (Gus)every year for his bday and he loves it. From friendly service to great selection of dog toys and clothes. They also sell delicious cakes and treats that my dog loves. Parking in this area is a bit of a hassle but this shop is worth it.
