They provided me guidelines of what to expect at Momo's appointment prior to scheduling, right before she was taken in, when maybe to expect a call to pick her up, how I would be billed, and if I needed another appointment soon. Quick and friendly service. Covid has been rough. Last year, we had to do an outdoor call and drop off, do it is nice to be inside and do a drop off. It cut out the phone call that was inconvenient for me. Enjoyed them. Momo got her shots yearly flea and heart meds.

I have been taking my Boston terrier here for a couple of years now. The staff and doctors are very friendly. Dr. Park is a very knowledgeable doctor who has properly diagnosed and treated my dog everytime he's had an issue. Scheduling appointments are quick and easy. He's pretty much in and out for every visit. Costs are reasonable but price does not matter to me as long as my little boy is taken care of.

Excellent job done by Dr. Levy, couple days after oral surgery she did follow up by calling me to see if I have any questions and make sure my dog is doing well.

This is by far the BEST Banfield I've visited. The front desk went above and beyond to fit my pup in at the last minute. The doctor followed up and called me and listened to all my concerns!! They were attentive and caring which is appreciated since I'm a first time dog mom.

Don't go this location, as the same banfield, they will overcharge you. I booked an appointment 10days in advance for my upcoming travel for a health certificate. The one I visited before at Meridian doesn't have availability so I booked at their location. Since I had a good experience with other location, I didn't ask for the quote. When I arrived, I noticed there is a huge difference and they charged a so-called professional service fee which is over 250$, and the manager explained that they are charging the area rate. I then quoted from the other banfield same location for the same service after they gave me the quote, still, they overcharged 180$.

Be sure to know what your pet needs completely because these people do not comprehensively review your pets information. This leads to future office visits where they will charge you for their mistakes. Find an actual vet and you will be more satisfied.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, and they work with you if you have low income. I have no issues with my dog being seen there. The staff was knowledgeable, and the vet was friendly and sweet.

I have so many complaints about this Banfield in particular from my experience with them during the past 6 months. 1. Their scheduling system is so BROKEN. Every time I tried to schedule an appointment, it has been longer than 3 weeks of wait. I have two dogs, who are both on their wellness plan, and they said that wellness plan dogs have a shorter wait time, so you can imagine if you're not on their wellness plan, the wait time is going to be even worse. I think they're just allowing far more pets to get onto the plan than their capacity would allow. This is a general issue at any Banfield, but this one is particularly bad. I've been going to the San Jose and the mountain view one, their wait time has been around one week. 2. Their front desk staff has been unprofessional. This is somewhat related their scheduling system. Sometimes when I try to schedule a visit for some illness like a diarrhea and they told me the wait time was more than 3 weeks, I would complain with them that as a wellness plan holder I shouldn't need to wait this long. Then they would double check their calendar and say there's a more recent availability that's in like 2 weeks. And if I complain further, they will find another more recent one. The extreme case for me was that I was able to bring an appointment in three weeks down to a week and half, and the person answering my phone found a "more recent" time twice. That wasn't the only time that they were able to find a "more recent" time. That made me feel that either they're trying to leave some availability for "some reason" that I don't know, or that their front desk staff was being unprofessional. 3. Their doctor doesn't pay attention to individual pets. One of my dogs has a really sensitive stomach, every time he had diarrhea, they just give him antibiotics, which is bad for his health if he take them too often. A lot of the time, he was able to self-heal just with some probiotics, but they wouldn't bother mentioning the option. I only realized it until one time their schedule was so full that I had to go to the Mountain View one. The Mountain View doctor went into great detail, explained the situation to me, and advised me not to give antibiotics too often. They also gave me some advice on what to feed my dog. Whereas at this Banfield, they just give you antibiotics without any other advice. The doctors here are either too busy or they just don't care. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the cleaness of the hospital and the plaza it's located at is also nice and clean.

genuinely really caring people. They took care of my Missy. My only comment is that Pet Care shouldn't cost as much as it does. But that's america, charge as much as they are willing to pay. Even at the cost of losing a loved pet. Perhaps a sliding scale should be considered, senior discounts, discounts for the disabled. If you truly cared about the animals money shouldn't be the only factor to help.

Throughout the years of going to Banfield I’ve realized the convenience is not worth it. A comprehensive wellness plan should provide peace of mind for a pet owner. From our experience with 3 dogs it always proves to be the opposite. My dogs always seem distressed and sometimes worse off medically upon pickup. I don’t think the staff or vets are bad at Banfield. They are just part of the corporate machine which ends up causing pets to suffer. Perhaps hiring more vets or scheduling fewer pets would resolve this. I’d advise finding a solid local vet that truly takes the time to provide attentive care.

1. Convenient and fast appointment scheduling. I called them on last Friday and scheduled it on this Monday. No long time waiting which is good. 2. Full service vet. I used to visit some walk-in clinics and they told me they couldn't give medication to my kitten as the weight is less than 5 lbs. This is ridiculous. Then I called Banfield. The nurse told me they definitely could care a 16 weeks old kitten. Also, the body weight 3+ lbs is enough for medication. This is awesome. 3. Fair price. They did the deworming for my kitten and gave me 5 days medication for internal parasites. The total is $28. For Covid-19 situation, we need to call the Banfield when arrived and also talking over the phone about our pet's condition/status. Drop-off the pet and then wait for the call. The doctor and nurse would call us about general info and price and related stuff. I see some comments said this hospital charges too much money. I want to clarify here. Before they giving some additional medical service to your pet, they would call you and introduce the prices and total costs. If you disagree, they would not do it and not charge you too much money. For the pet care plans, I didn't subscribe it so I couldn't give much details. Overall, I think Banfield is good for minor/routine medical service.

This Banfield pet hospital is the worst. I usually brought my dog to Banfield clinic inside PetSmart store in Milpitas for comprehensive checkup, because the pandemic I brought my dog to this hospital in San Jose for the first time. My dog is active and healthy the day that I brought her in and passed away a day after. I called the for explanation and they said that and this so I took their words for it because I couldn't do anything else. I brought my dog there for a private cremation. They told me will be done in two weeks but no one called me to let me know that it will late until I called to ask them. They told me there will be another week. I seem this hospital just care about business for money not for your pets or your feelings. I'm really disappointed and never again bring my pets to any Banfield's hospitals.

The wellness plans are well worth the money and the staff is really nice. However, they had me go to a Specialist because they told me one of my cats has a heart murmur that needs to be taken care of. I take her to a specialist and pay a bunch of freaking money for the specialist to tell me, yeah that happens with cats all the time when they are scared to see the vet and she doesn’t actually have anything wrong with her. Then 2 of my other cats get sick within a day of eachother and so I take one in to be seen just to confirm my suspicions that it was a kitty cold / flu and she just needed some medicine. They INSIST that she HAD to have eaten weed or another type of toxic plant and it is affecting her nervous system and to take her to the emergency vet ASAP. So I do, they recommended MedVet and they only looked at my cat for about 15 minutes, told me she just has the cat cold and it’ll pass, they gave her a medicine shot and that was it. I paid a bunch of money AGAIN because Banfield couldn’t figure out something extremely simple and common even though I asked them several times “are you sure she’s not just sick” before sending me to the emergency room. While their wellness plans may be worth it I don’t think I can recommend them because they’ll just send you to specialists and emergency rooms for the simplest of things.

I just wanted to get updated rabies shot for my Husky and all the hospital did was try to upsell me over $490 of "highly recommended" shots and checkups. I was able to get down to $280 that included 1st time checkup (ridiculous) cost.

I dropped my dog off at 1130am for a check up that normally takes no more then 90 minutes. I get a call around 415pm saying my pet is ready. I arrive at 440pm but they have me wait outside for 30 minutes while not answering the phone after several attempts. Worst service from the south bay banfields.

Loved it, the staff and the doctor was nice. The only problem I had was no being able to speak face to face with the doctor which is understandable because of the Coronavirus. My dog was very happy after the visit. He had an exam and his rabbies shot. I give them five stars even though I wasn't able to go in with the dog for his visit or meet face to face with the doctors, but the attitude of the doctor and the staff was outstanding so I'm going to overlook those small issues.

I took my kitty because she had blood in her Urine. The Dr said they need urine test to see What’s going on a few hours later they call and they said she need to take antibiotic due to test result. The antibiotic who was open and the Doctor mention twice in her mouth orally for 1ml. First of all the medication works only for four days.I called them and informed them the medicine is finished and it’s worked for four days only I called twice nobody replied to me. Second I decided to take my kitty to another doctor. I noticed they didn’t take urine test to send me the results to another doctor. The doctor prescribe Antibiotic without any test results I never trust this place Anymore the manager called me and said sorry for the bad experience with us!

The staff take care of our cat as though he was their own and ensure that we do not have any questions before we wrap up our visits. Thank you for the time and attention you give to both your patients and their owners!
