amazing place ive purchased items I didn't know existed for dogs and the material is really well made. Highly recommend for all dog owners and the customer service is beyond Great.

The staff was very rude. I bought a bandana and the size did not fit my dog. I try to explain that the size was too large and if I could please exchange or return it but he was very insistent that it did fit and I was doing it wrong. It still fits my dog too big and he can not wear it. Will never be back here again.

Extremely pleased with the customer service YAP provides and quality of their products. I've had to make two exchanges through them because my dogs have an awkward shape to them and they've helped facilitate those transactions smoothly. They were also kind enough to send two Ghirardelli YAP toys with our order of techno wraps. We enjoyed our visit to their physical store on our visit to SF. You can tell they truly love canines and are passionate about what they do.

Lee was very helpful. We were on vacation in SF and decided to get our dog one of these harnesses. We were not sure of the size but Lee stated that if it was wrong, he would exchange it with no shipping charge. Sure enough, it was too small for our beefy boy. He was true to his word. He sent out a bigger size right away and a prepaid label to return the smaller harness. Thanks Lee!

Kismet!!! We were talking about buying a dog carrier for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel our whole trip. Suddenly, there we were in Ghirardelli Square watching someone try one on. We walked into Yap, told Adam and Lee our story, and soon we had been expertly fitted for Reddington’s Yap Sac. Carrying him around has been a breeze ever since! It’s so comfortable for both the wearer and the pup. You hardly realize it’s on! We also purchased an ergonomic harness that is much better for our dog’s neck than any we have had prior. Thank you Adam and Lee for top notch advice and superior products.

Yap Wraps are absolutely fabulous!! I bought my first Yap Wraps when they came out on QVC, approximately 14 years ago. Today they are still in great condition and fit my same dogs. Many Many times I have had to use the handle to pick up my dogs due to an aggressive dog approaching. That handle is strong and sturdy and has never torn or broke. The velcro is as strong and sturdy today as the day I bought it! I am confident that any occasion that arises I can grab the handle and my dogs will be safe. I just ordered two winter Yap Wraps which are going to take the place of any winter coat. Lee who answers the phone at the store is pleasant, helpful and KNOWS the product. He is a delight to work with. I would encourage everyone to purchase a Yap Wrap!

Was in SF on vacation bought my dog a cute Alcatraz Harness he wouldn't move when I put it on. He is a Yorkie 3.5 pounds . So..... I called YAP and they sent me out the cute adorable robe that we decided on ! Immediately might I add and no additional charge! Thank you YAP great customer service ????

This place is amazing!! We are from WA and came and found this store and we were busy and just walk out without are stuff and were already back in WA and the owner was so kind and shipped are stuff to us for free 10/10 would definitely recommend

Great product most importantly. Shop owner able to empathize with customer and their problems and thereby making the sales natural and easy. If you want what you pay for this is it. Expensive but effective. The backpack work incredibly well.

The guy was sweet and pretentious? I brought my mini aussie border collie mix in just to check out coats. We were acknowledged and asked if we needed help, we said we were just browsing for coats. He then went on about how they're a fashion designer store that carry high end quality gear for dogs and so on and so on. He then pitched a harness because our no pull harness was not something a dog should be wearing..his words. I explained that we purchased a few regular harnesses (back clip) but it didn't help with training her to walk and that the front clip has made such a difference and it has been making the training easy he then said "while its easy for you it won't be easy for her" sir. We are TRAINING her to walk on a leash and front clip harnesses are recommended and safe for dogs? Some dogs do well with a back clip, some do better with a gentle lead, some do better with a front clip...he then went on to explain why the other 2 back clip harnesses I tried were an issue...and it came back to them not being made the way yap is made and with the materials yap makes... cute stuff, really high priced and limited colors-like 1 or 2 colors for some clothes. I wouldn't recommend this place based on the judgement that came with a lecture. Go somewhere else that is more versed on different harnesses and the pros and cons of each for different issues.

I received the Beta Noir 2 for Christmas and although it is a beautiful harness, it is not very sturdy. My first harness ripped within the first 6-8 months. Customer service was great to work with, and sent me a replacement harness immediately. The second harness ripped within another 6 months. I contacted the same customer service rep, and she informed me that the warranty was no longer valid. I have a Labradoodle and we do not even need a lease for walks, he does not tug or pull very often. My overall experience with Yap USA was great, but the product is not worth the price. You are better off buying a 20 dollar one from Petsmart if you have to replace it every year.

The worst experience. I visited the store in San Francisco. I went in To purchase a dog coat with legs. They sold me on a harness and leash as well. After less than a month the harness and leash frayed. I had to pay for them to ship me a replacement. The coat was too small. I payed for shipping back to them and a replacement coat. After filling out many questionnaires about how the harness and leash were defective and giving all the measurements for the replacement coat they sent me a coat too small and not the same. I wanted to love and recommend this company but can’t. I called for a refund and they said no refunds even after they told me they have no production going on and don’t have a replacement coat to send me. Now I’m stuck with a coat that doesn’t fit and all the aggravation that went with trying to get what I paid for. Awful awful experience and quality.

Their harnesses are terrific. We have bought these for our Frenchie, Boston, and Boxer over the years and they are top quality with a great fit. Wonderful, caring and helpful service too. I highly recommend Yap Stores.

Don’t shop here. It took 3 trips from an hour away. To get 10.85 refund from downsizing in harnesses.

Great owner! Wonderful inventory! The Yap wraps are AMAZING! My dogs look stylish, and are completely safe in these! Very comfortable and doesn’t hurt them. The handle is AMAZING! I wanted to reach out to the store to thank them! I had an unleashed dog charge at us and I felt so confident pulling up my dog by the handle! I knew he was secure by the amazingly strong Velcro and wasn’t harmed- my other dog was in a sling cuz she’s older. So THANK YOU YAP! Your awesome product kept my dog safe from an attacking dog! ❤️

The clothes are of great quality, I almost took one of each. Customer service was also really good. I’ll be back next season for new clothes for my shihtzu

We are from Puerto Rico and we was visiting San Francisco for first time. When we saw the shop we was want to saw the merchandise for buy something to our dog. The employee said us what he didn’t have anything for small dogs. It was strange because we saw merchandise for all for all dogs. We feel not welcome here and for that we step out from here. Never again!

Was in San Fran at this store the beginning of September and bought my Havanese female dog a Yap harness. The gentleman working in the store was so helpful. I'm from Canada and wasn't sure it would fit, he gave me all the details of what I would need to do to exchange it without extra cost. It did fit my dog perfectly and is a game changer!!! Looks fantastic to start, but the best feature of the harness is the clip for the leash at the back and the handle. This has taken my walks with my dog to a whole new level. She runs beside me like a show dog, she feels so free! At 9 years old I want to keep her healthy and fit. Not only that, she is fear aggressive and tries to lunge and attack other dogs, with the way the harness works she cant stand on her rear legs and settles down quickly plus I don't have to pull on a collar around her neck! So glad I stopped in to the beautiful store at Ghiardelli Square.I will be ordering online in the future.

Yesterday I visited this store and found the person there to be friendly and helpful. He shared some of the qualities of different harnesses. No pushovers, in fact told us we could later order online, if we chose to. I did buy a harness for my pup!

I am local customer and came in looking at items that may help my dog. My husband said the harness may not work on our dog due to her breed and weight. The clerk ripped the harness out my hand roughly and said product was between 150.00 to 700.00 you can't afford it anyways. This man has no idea of my income and I actually could afford it. but I will be contacting your landlord to discuss your clerks aggressive actions about putting their hands on customers.

Very rude woman. Was visiting San Franscico with my family and noticed there was a Sheba Inu dog in the YAP store. We are considering this breed as a family pet and wanted to ask the owner of the dog a few questions. She was extremely pushy and rude and wouldn’t let me get a sentence out. She kept throwing products in our face and said “how about this, or you can buy this, what about this... you need this.” It was very off putting. If you don’t want people to pet your dog, don’t bring it to work. We may have stayed and looked around for products for our cat if she was friendly, but her attitude and aggressive behavior Couldn’t get us out of the store fast enough. I feel bad for the dog.
