Veterinary Vision is the gold standard of specialized pet care. My Golden Doodle started having vision problems two years ago. They treated her juvenile cataracts beautifully. They took such thoughtful care of her. She even enjoys going to get her check up because everyone there is so kind.

From the start to the finish they were incredibly professional and compassionate and Dr. O’Leary took amazing care of my dog. I felt completely confident that she was in the best care.

Ever since sage bought this place, service went down the toilet, no one ever picks up the phone, appointments are impossible and prices doubled.

I called many places to get an appointment and nobody could see my dog for 4 weeks! When I called Veterinary Vision, the person answered the phone with concern, he found a time slot, he was clear on the fact that we might have to wait as they were double booking (that transparency was great expectation setting.) The doctor figured out my dog's issues right away and performed treatment that day (we had traveled from San Ramon and really appreciated the reduced number of trips). Her treatment worked beautifully! Follow up was fast and great. Couldn't have been happier with the experience and our dog is back to living it up with no compromised vision!

The guy answering the phone is very rude, tries to find ways to charge you more money. This place is a money scheme. Better off with Animal eye care than here

My dog had an eye injury referred to as "melting cornea". Needed to be seen asap. They fit him in and were amazing!!! Had to travel to SF from North Bay. Was concerned about the distance but was so worth it. My Rebel is doing so much better. So glad the Doc at Sage in Concord was able to get is in. He's still getting treatment. Canty praise them enough!!

Kind, gentle, caring folks, knowledgeable and experienced. These are the people who you can trust with something as precious as your dog’s vision. Office on Taraval in SF.

They got my dog in fast before more damage could be done to his eye. Surgery was successful. He is not an easy dog to handle and they love him anyway :) Best Care Ever!

The doctor and staff are professional and friendly. They took the time to explain my pet's condition and next steps in a clear manner.

Dr. Freeman was very caring and thorough and takes the time to explain everything. It can take 1-2 months to get an appointment though and sometimes over 30 minutes wait on the phone to make an appointment. (Faster if you have your vet contact the office directly). Once treatment began the staff was really helpful though in finding an appointment as soon as possible to manage possible complications. Prices were quite high for initial appointment and medications. Thankfully they didn’t charge extra when I bought refills from an online pharmacy in order to make treatment of a chronic illness more affordable.

The medical care is great. Sadly they are chronically understaffed. Phone hold times are crazy long and my last appointment I waited for almost 30 minutes outside, due to Covid rules, before I was even checked in for my dog’s appointment. They really need to hire more support staff.

Our pup rapidly lost vision in one eye and veterinary vision took her in emergently. Dr. Freeman was incredibly compassionate and most importantly complete in her evaluation.

Thank you Dr. Freeman for your professional and compassionate care for our dog Ginger. We had very difficult decisions to make as Ginger had a situation which would normally call for surgery, but she was very old and had other health issues as well. Dr. Freeman explained all of the options and the woman who took Ginger in (sorry I don't know your name) was very kind and compassionate as well. Unfortunately Ginger passed just before her next appointment, but in the future if I should ever need visionary services for my pets I would feel confident in taking them here.

Why so expensive! doctor visit meaning first time eye exam is 250.00 just to see whats wrong with your pet. On top of the crisis we are all in it’s unaffordable for people like me.

The receptionist I spoke with this afternoon was extremely rude and told me at first when I explained how my dogs eye is going out that I'm concerned because now both eyes are and she kept asking me what she could see or if she was blind I told her I know her right eye is going out and I dont know what she can see but that I read when eyes are involved it is emergency because they can lose their sight. After going back and forth I said so basically it's not an emergency your telling me until she goes blind because ur saying u csnt see her unless she is blind. I told her I read it's rather important and that my vet said to call her because she needs to be seen asap mind u I already scheduled an appt but they said they were booked for a month and couldnt let me know if their was a cancellation that I'd have to reach out to them which is what I did today on my day off. I told her I would have my vet call her and that's all she had to inform me of if their was a chance to be seen sooner. She said ok and hung up on me. Sucks because they are my only option closeby and all I ask is for her to just tell me to have my vet call them. They already knew I was referred from 1st call so why cop attitude when all.im saying is I just need to know I'd u can see me sooner I'm not the professional here u are supposed to be.i make it a point to give out of my way customer service especially with pets so I get really frustrated in situations like this. I'm sure the doctors are great but the receptionist is another story but unfortunately you have to get thru the rude ones sometimes before u can get the right info.

I have not taken my cat to see them yet but just trying to schedule an appointment has been nearly impossible. I have called about 15 times in one week, each time either not getting through the line or being on hold for 20+ minutes.

I think Veterinary Vision has been bought by Sage Pharmaceutical, the price on everything increased almost double, so unreasonable. I don’t recommend it.

Dr. Linton and Staff are some of the best in the country. Wait times long. If an emergency, ask your vet to call.

Great experience! The staff and doctors are very patient and treated our Nalla with amazing care. It was well worth the drive. They all are so caring and respectful of the animals and their guardians. In addition, their are reasonable. A great value.
