Dr. Sun Yu was very enthusiastic about my very rambunctious boy. She was thorough, positive and listened very "hard" to Buster's story. We are new to SF, so I was apprehensive that we would need to roam eternally looking for a good vet. We lucked out!!

Good vets are hard to come by and these guys are the best! I trust them with our sick pup Calvin, they never try and rip you off, they treat him like one of their own. Always very responsive over the phone, we love Dr. Thompkins but have seen many when he’s unavailable and everyone seems very skilled, caring and kind.

We just got a puppy and I saw that so many of my neighbors loved this vet. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone treated our little girl so well and the vet was so lovely! Definitely recommend this practice if you’re looking for a veterinarian!

Excellent pet care. As a first time client, I appreciated how seamless setting up the appointment was, how quickly my pet was in and out and how competent the vet and front desk staff was to interact with. Highly recommend.

I was so very pleased with our 1st visit to this vet. I found the veterinarian to be very thorough in exam. She caught issues that his original Vet missed or bypassed. If you want to feell your pet is in good hands, this is where you want to go!

I have been bringing my dog to Seven HIlls for 14 years. First, he has lived 14 happy, healthy years. Thanks Seven Hills. From the front desk to the doctors in the back, everyone is kind and knowledgeable. Doctor Thompkins takes time to answer all of my questions and give me all of the information I need to make decisions about my dog's health.

Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital has provided exceptional compassionate care for all the animals in my family. Dr. Sandy Hazanow is deeply thoughtful, present, and available in her practice. Her love and respect for the animals and humans she serves, as well as the joy she has for her work is apparent. I have had many difficult choices to make for the animals in my family, including end of life care, and have especially appreciated Dr. Hazanow's ability to offer advice, informed options, and heartfelt guidance without shame, pressure, or false urgency. I have always felt authentically heard and supported by her, welcomed to ask questions and take my time, and impressed by her willingness to go above and beyond. It is rare to find a veterinary practice that so fully meets the needs of both myself and my animals, and I fully trust my animals in Dr. Hazanow's care.

We went here to get an international health certificate for our pet. They are very organized and super kind. They asked me to send them details before hand so that they could have all the details on their side. I was out of the country and my friend was taking my pet and co-ordinating this was so easy while in the contrary you would think it would be complicated given that I was not there in person They needed to do an electronic international health certificate and they even went the extra mile to give us the confirmation number, contact USDA to ensure everything went smoothly. Alex was constantly in touch and sent me several emails, voicemails and always got back to me. We truly appreciate everything they did to help us get our pup back home ❤️

Not an emergency hospital, limited equipment vs full ER. Std business hours. But very nice for regular appts and urgent care. Blue Perl is full ER services and 24x7 - nearby with parking

This vet routinely over vaccinates in an attempt to maximize their profits, they also try to schedule two and three follow-up visits to stretch out how much they can soak you for. Sandy H. has a rude and dismissive attitude if you don't immediately take everything she says as gospel. Even humans get second opinions for their doctors.

My dog died less than 24 hours after being neutered at this facility- and during that entire period of time I was not able to get in touch with anyone from this facility. I found the staff at this facility very kind. Unfortunately I had a very traumatizing experience with this place. My 6 month old dog got spayed and 7 hours after we brought him home he stared experiencing postop nausea and vomiting. I called the facility over and over and they were not open in the early hours on Saturday morning or during their normal Saturday hours, despite it being the day after "surgery day". The on call partner clinic that I was eventually routed to through the voicemail was "full" and could not see my pet. By the time I got my dog to a facility with which I had no relationship or experience, he passed away, and the emergency care required was $3,500. It was over $700 to spay my dog with Seven Hills, and we never received a sympathy card or any outreach regarding this event, although we did make them aware of what happened. This facility prescribed me an opioid medication to start giving my 16lb dog the night we took him home, which after research on the internet, I never should have done because he still had general anesthesia drugs in his system. I truly believe that if I did not follow this recommendation, my baby dog would still be here and this haunts me every single day. Spay/neuter surgery is a routine procedure but there can absolutely be complications. Please make sure to have detailed conversations with your vet to understand postop treatment, potential risks, and most importantly make sure you have a PLAN for who can see your dog if any issues occur. You'll likely be told that vomiting is normal after this surgery- which is true- but it can also be a sign of serious complications. Please please if this happens to your dog- just get them in to see the vet. You won't be able to undo the decision if you wait too long. If you have a flat faced dog that experiences vomitting after this procedure-- please please please just get them in to see a vet. VCA specialists are open every single day, the emergency fee is not expensive at all ($120) and they will take the best possible care of your dog. I am so completely haunted by this experience that I truly believe would not have happened had I had this procedure done at a different facility and I urge you all to act with utmost caution after this procedure - it may save your dogs life.

I have been taking my animals to Drs. Hazanow and Knobel since Seven Hills first opened and have come to worship the ground they walk on. Vet tech Tracy is one of my dog's favourite people! The doctors and techs here CARE so much about the animals they serve. They don't cut corners, are very thorough and professional. They take the time to educate owners and have always answered my many questions (I am a dog professional and care for a number of dogs in the neighbourhood). They have organised the practice so that it is quiet and calm for the patients, and their understanding of animal behaviour FAR exceeds that of the average vet. They saved my own cat's life when she was so sick with diabetes, and Dr. Hazanow saved a client's dog by detecting a very virulent cancer before it had spread - an amazing outcome. I have worked with various other outfits in the City; I simply cannot speak highly enough of this practice.

I would avoid this place if I were you. They clearly don’t care about the well being of your animal. 2 different times I showed up in a situation where we needed care and they turned us around at the door. Not just saying “sorry we can’t see you” but saying “can you take your animal outside?” When my dog is in distress, I don’t need someone to turn me away at the door not even allowing me to sit in the lobby with my dog. NO other vet does this. They are I’ll equipped to handle pets with care. There are other options. I’ll never bring my dog here again and I’d recommend that you find an alternative to this place.

We just switched to this vet and so far we are very happy. Our dog had her annual exam here and they were very thorough and thoughtful at the appointment. We were able to get an appointment quickly and also follow up vet tech appointments. They have flea collars and medications available at the same price as available online. It was so nice to be at a vet where you get personal attention. It’s also a convenient location with easy parking.
