Super convenient location and super friendly staff!

Have only been in once so far, but really happy with the friendliness and responsiveness of the folks here. It warmed my heart to hear them in the back hyping up my 9 week old puppy for his shots.

Love love love this place! I took my 5 month old French Bulldog puppy there to be established as a new patient after being very disappointed with another facility. From the beginning the team was lovely and very knowledgeable. We saw Dr. Nguyen and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She treated my puppy very well and he was comfortable. I was referred here by a dog walker in the neighborhood and I’m glad that I decided to switch. As most of those in SF know a lot of veterinarian offices are super overwhelmed and this caused for us to have bad service in our last office. This pet hospital is a much needed addition to the neighborhood and gives great service and will have you in and out with all your questions answered in a timely manner(I took my puppy in my lunch break). I definitely recommend this place!!!

Quick appointments available. Fair rates. The vets on staff are very attentive and take their time with you and your pet. One star off because communication is hit and miss, often had to call in to check on anything I was waiting for.

We brought our cat to the Polk Street Animal Hospital for her end of life care. The professionalism and compassion of the staff, along with the clean and modern office made we wish that we had been bringing her here since she was a kitten. I highly recommend the Polk Street Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Nguyen who was a great comfort to us at the end of our cat's life.

I love my new vet! The office is clean, easy to access. Dr. My is wonderful!!! My cats are healthy and happy again! The services are affordable and reasonable. I highly recommend the Polk Street Animal Hospital!

We took our dog in for a potential UTI and got her a senior panel of tests done. We received some preliminary results, but even after contacting the clinic did not receive the rest. Concerned about our dog’s condition, we took her to an urgent care center. A cascading series of alarming test results revealed that our dog was actually dying with late-stage hemangiosarcoma. We, the urgent care vet and a specialty clinic tried in vain to contact Polk Street Animal Hospital for her test results to get some kind of baseline for her condition. A week and a half later Polk Street called asking why our dog had missed her follow-up appointment. I told the receptionist that was because our dog was dead, and explained to her the situation. We still haven’t received those test results. I can’t comment on the quality of veterinary care at Polk Street as we never received any, but I can say that when we brought in our dog for a full wellness panel she had late-stage terminal cancer and we never heard a peep afterwards. Moreover, this clinic was totally unresponsive to the requests of other clinics for our dog’s lab work.

I loved all the service since the registration for the first patient and the clean place, friendly, friendly and have bilingual aperdonal and all the recommendations I am super delighted with the place I would recommend that you visit them

Shining happy people for a change.. clean quick and polite. On the other side of the city from last veteran but its totally worth it for professionalism and knowledge given about our French bull dogs allergies

Was really impressed with all the staff! They were patient and knowledgeable answering questions and very communicative. We saw Dr. Koelemij who was great! We will certainly go back and I would recommend this clinic to others.

After having trouble finding appointments at SPCA and other centers, we saw that Castro Animal Hospital had a second site and decided to give it try. So glad we did! They were able to schedule a vaccine appointment for our puppy in a reasonable time, and where able to fit him in for an urgent same day appointment with no hassle. I was extremely impressed by the responsiveness of the staff and the efficiency of the clinic. As soon as we arrived for our appointment, we were checked in and taken to an exam room (so nice to be able to accompany our pet!). Dr. Lamont was in within a couple of minutes and took the time to carefully examine our puppy and answer all of our questions. They quickly ran the necessary test and we finished the whole visit within 30 minutes. On top of that, pricing was extremely reasonable!

Highly recommend!! Dr. Inman is so knowledgeable and friendly. The space is brand new and very clean. The vet team did a fantastic job and they provided excellent care. We are truly blown away and will be telling all our friends.

Dr. Inman was described as a gifted veterinarian (and surgeon in particular) by the Chief Veterinarian at Austin Animal Center, the largest no-kill, open-intake shelter in the country. As the former Deputy Chief of Austin Animal Services, Director of Operations for Austin Humane Society, and Vice President of Emancipet, a national non-profit veterinary clinic, I have worked alongside more than 30 veterinarians, and she is among the very best. I would trust Dr. Inman and any other veterinarian and technician she hired to take care of my pet - I cannot say the same about the large national chains that churn through veterinarians and burn them out by demanding production targets. Your pet's care should not be the result of a sales goal!

We had our first visit yesterday for an introductory exam and vaccinations for one of our dogs. The on-line appointment system is fantastic, as is receiving an electronic copy of the invoice via email. Dr. Nguyen gave our dog a thorough exam, while collecting information about medical history, eating habits, etc. - our dog got needed vaccinations, treatment for an ear infection, and diet recommendations. Dr Nguyen is very personable as well as knowledgeable, and followed up with emailed recommendations for home dental care. We are EXTREMELY impressed with the care we received here, and have appointments lined up for our other dogs!

The vet and staff here did an amazing job with my puppy. As a new dog mom, I had a lot of questions and Dr. Nguyen answered them all with a smile. I feel confident that my pet is receiving the best care here. Also the new clinic is so clean and nice!
