I was a regular here until today. I had a vaccine booster scheduled 2 weeks ahead for my pup and the morning when I arrived to the office the check-in person inside tries to tell me that they cancelled my appointment with out saying it. She says they “called multiple times and your mailbox was full”, completely not true. And then she proceeds to tell me that “ You might need to wait a while” outside because of the situation when a pair of other people just walked right in after me. I wanted to be understanding and asked her for an estimated wait time for my appointment, she refuse to give me a range, like it may be all day or the fact that she cancellled my appointment and doesn’t want to tell me and decided to leave me and my pup waiting outside for hours in the hot summer day. I was an current client with my animals here and this is not an acceptable treatment to anyone who just want care for their pets. I was so upset the way the person talked to me and decided to just walk away after the call. I dont think i can trust this place if they can’t even give me an idea with their situation on scheduling, where is the transparency? They obviously didn’t care or just the fact that this Susie lady is just not a good customer service person. Why would you tell someone who is already arrived for their scheduled appointment with such hesitance and show so much uncertainty when it is a simple routine appointment previously scheduled and confirmed? I am not coming back here with my animals.

I was super scared going in today with my baby girl Luna and not being able to be with her is more nerve wracking, but they all made me feel at ease and that they truly cared about my girls well being, I am grateful and appreciated them so much.

I initially had some customer service issues whilst scheduling, however the manager Kyle personally called to resolve it. VERY impressive customer service. As for the pet care, really top notch - I originally switched to VCA Market Street from another Vet who was not able to properly diagnose or treat my cat's issue - these guys sorted it out quickly. Highly recommended both for service and veterinary care. Personal thank you to Kyle!!

I've had my dog for 10 years during which she has had vets in La Jolla, North Park, and more recently in Hong Kong. Out of all the vets I've had VCA Market Street stands hands and shoulders above the rest. Firstly, they are an incredibly organized professional organization. Secondly, the staff throughout have exceptional customer service skills. And finally, you get excellent treatment for your dog at a price that you know is fair. Wonderful organization. I'm just sad that I can't find such a vet in my current city.

If you're looking for an AMAZING vet, look no further. The entire staff is the wonderful! Always taking great care of our pets and answering any questions/concerns we have. Whether its a simple check up or a serious concern, bring your fur babies here.

My husband and I are very thankful that we switched from our previous vet clinic to VCA Market Street. We have been with VCA for about a year and a half now and they have gone above and beyond in their care for our two fur-babies. Their bedside manner is one to be admired by all vet professionals and the administrative staff is attentive, professional, and all around fantastic. I would recommend any pet owner to take their companions here!

The vets have good bedside manner and I trust their medical advice but the real stand out at Market Street is the front office staff. I do not have a medical degree so it's pretty much impossible for me to know for sure how the vets compare in medical skill to others, but it's undeniable that the front office is terrific. I most often deal with Johnathan but they're all great. Friendly, sure, but they are also relentlessly reliable. Not only does nothing ever slip through the cracks, they take initiative to go above and beyond the normal course of duty. It's really remarkable, not just among vet staff, but of anyone in any profession, to do such a consistently great job.

Brought my dog here because he is in pain. They suggested their “senior best care” package because it would “save me money“ even tho a lot of the services weren’t needed. Lol. And now $1400 later I have nothing but a bunch of inconclusive test results and my dog is still sick in pain. Icing on the cake for me wasn’t the staffs incompetence or inability to figure out whats wrong with my dog, it’s the attitude the Dr. Batista gave me when I questioned her about the services and results thus far. Take your dog here for an annual check up but if something is really wrong with your dog, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Doctor pretty much gave up on my cat just because he became fearful after the doctor wanted to heavily pet him and compliment how nice his fur was instead of inspecting what brought him there in the first place. He wanted to sedate him just to clean his ears. They wanted to charge me almost 400$. My cat isn’t aggressive whatsoever and was kind to the technicians that came after the doctor. I expressed that I couldn’t afford to do that and they instead gave me medication to treat my cat myself, all for about 54$ (medication plus exam). I probably won’t be going back to this place again. I think they’re better fit for dogs.

My dog Mya is a regular patient here and the staff is always pleasant and professional. Mya tends to be very anxious in unfamiliar surroundings but the staff is well trained to soothe her. The vets are very gentle and seem to genuinely love their jobs and animals. Their location is clean, welcoming, and convenient (dedicated parking spots in downtown are a lifesaver). There are dog biscuits of all sizes in the waiting room as well as coffee and tea for the humans. Booking an appointment online is a breeze! Also, any record or information requests via email are responded to promptly -- an impressive touch to any business. I highly recommend if you are looking for a home clinic.

The vets seam experienced enough, but generally don't follow up and will charge you double, sometimes triple the actual cost of any medication. My dogs liver values have been off, so we did blood work 3 times (At ~$250 each) before they actually recommended any medications to help fix it. Turns out they charged me 3x the price for the antibiotics and supplements. If they do prescribe your pet any medications, just ask what they are and get them from Walmart! It will save you a ton of money for the exact same thing.

We love VCA market street animal hospital - all of the doctors there are amazing especially our favorite, Dr. Olson. They are always able to fit us in and take amazing care of our little boy. We wouldn't go anywhere else for his care.

I called in and they hung up on me maybe because they were busy but then when I walked in there power was out and they said they can take care of me so I came in with my cat and they said it’s going to take another 45 min before we can see you with an attitude I said ok that’s fine, I waited and watched every other person walk in after me get in before me maybe because this was my first time ?? NOT COOL GUYS

Fair prices. Nice staff. UPDATE: My dog got to a point where he was very old and likely to die a not so pleasant death, so I decided to put him to sleep. The staff here was wonderful for the last six months when my dog needed them, and so supportive when the time came. I am so grateful to them.

Dr. Dorian is great! He's been the primary veterinarian for 4 of our dogs now since he opened show in East Village. Really cares about our dogs and never rushes appointments.

Market Street Vet has been our go-to vet clinic for the past 4 years. We've taken our 3 dogs here for everything from routine physicals, vaccines, illnesses, and first exam for our new kitten. Market Street front desk, doctor's and staff are always kind, prompt and treat our pets with great care. The front desk is always helpful and even preps our insurance forms and sends for us when requested- such a big help! When we brought our sweet 15 year old Chow Chow here on his final day the doctors were kind and let us spend as much time with him as we liked. We were thankful he was in such good hands and went peacefully. When a new vet clinic opened up a couple of blocks from our house that we thought would be more convenient we started going there but went right back to Market Street once we realized that their service and care couldn't be beat. We appreciate the high quality care our babies get here and we've never felt they've tried to over charge or force additional treatment or meds. Highly recommend!

I took my tortie Little Cuties to her first vet visit with me! I was a little flustered because I'd ridden nearly a half hour on the bus with a friend who accompanied us and was hoping Little Cuties wouldn't completely freak out. This is my first time owning a pet and I had a lot of questions right off the bat once we finally reached the clinic. Everywhere from the receptionists to the nurse to the vet who all helped me, I was just really impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. They were very gentle with my cat. Their prices are fair although I have nothing to compare them to. I would recommend this place to anyone. Fo' sho! :)

My husband and I were visiting San Diego from out of state, when we became worried about our terrier mix Mugz, who suddenly seemed to be having some type of gastric upset-lethargic, loss of appetite, etc. We checked various reviews on line, and decided to call VCA Market Street Animal Hospital--wow--we made the right choice!! They were able to see him right away, very friendly staff, not much of a wait time, -and even reasonably priced!! Mugzy it turned out was fine (after antiobiotics, and probiotics) we were so impressed with everything about VCA Market Street Animal Hospital --even received follow up calls checking on Mugz to see how he was doing!! We would highly recommend VCA Market Street Animal Hospital for all your pet needs--they were amazing!!

I have nothing but great things to say about this clinic, its veterinarians, and its support staff. Dr. Dorian helped my pet and I in the most honest, professional way. My pet underwent surgery with them, and they did an exceptional job. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who has a pet in need of veterinary care. Their prices were affordable and payment plans were also offered.

Went to schedule an appointment for my wife's Yorkie, but the nurses thought he was a Shih-tzu, needless to say we didn't go back.
