I left my boy X with Total K9 for six weeks. He was nine months old and he was quite aggressive to other dogs and people at this time. X had few weeks training previously with a completely useless dog trainer in London.This guy did advise me that my dog is really nervous and is not going to be a good guarding dog. I did not give up on my boy and did my research ,friend of mine advice me about Total K9 Ltd. I have to be completely honest that Rob and his professional team have done miracles with my boy . He did told me that he will see how X is doing for two weeks , and will advice if he is good for further training . After the two weeks Rob said that X is really good dog and not nervous at all. We left him for four more weeks and I had back a completely different dog. Very good obedience, not aggressive and really good behaviour.A massive thank you to Rob and his crew for their hard and professional work.

Our two boys Leo & Eleigh (Husky x GSD) have just returned from a two week residential course with Rob and the team at TOTAL K9 and i can't recommend them enough. Five stars guy's all the way. Our two boys are 10 months old and for the past 4 months had become more and more of a handful every day. We carefully looked at our options for obediance training and after doing our homework opted for TOTAL K9. How right we were!!! For all of you out there considering their services, well let me tell you, Rob and his team are the ultimate professionals ???? After a short stay, our boys have grown up! I am not one for writing reviews but felt absolutely compelled after dealing with the Total K9 Family.. We have a miniature Dachshund, a Pekingese, 3 children, which brings pretty full days, especially in the situation we are all currently faced with. After reading a plea for help from a young family to rehome a large puppy, we uncharacteristically jumped in. The puppy was 5 months at that stage and wild, having lived in a flat with 3 children under 5 and having had no lead experience as such, that said she was a beautifully gentle soul, we were hooked. We invested in training with 2 separate trainers over a few months, 1 ex BT Police, 1 ex forces, after 3 or 4 lessons with each we were being told that her bad start had severely damaged her, initially separated from parents too young (European import), then no firm training, and we had tried our best and wouldn’t be judged if the task was too big to manage and chose to rehome her, again. I contacted Total K9 as almost a last resort, after reading dozens of positive reviews. From initial contact with Rob and Lauren, I knew I had made a great choice. They took time to explain their methods and reassure that if she wasn’t quick to settle, they would let me know, as I didn’t want to cause any more stress. After dropping her for 2 weeks training at their beautiful farm, I left wondering if I had done the right thing. A few hours later a video was sent with our Girl ‘Lenny’ playing with a GSD, like she hadn’t a care in the world. The video updates were regular, her progress was remarkable, I felt like I had finally done right by her. We live in a major city and she would cower from passing vehicles, dogs, people, the K9 videos demonstrated her daily progress in towns, in shops, interacting with other dogs with confidence, was heart-warming. After 2 week I nervously turned up, not knowing if she would even want to come home or if I would almost remind her of the shell she was on arrival. I was greeted by licks, wags and a new confidence, such a lovely feeling. I thought at this point it would be payment and gone (I had already opened the boot) but I spent a further 2 hours onsite learning the training methods, I was then driven into the local town by 2 staff and owner to demonstrate the learning in a real environment. Incredibly caring and knowledgeable business, they should all be immensely proud of the business they have built. I would like to especially thank ‘Josh’ who kept me updated throughout. Josh took our girl out daily, to the local towns, beach, unlike the previous trainers who petrified her, she was visibly torn between coming home with me or staying with Josh, a phenomenal trainer.! Again, I don’t write reviews, its not often you are blown away by a service provider these days, but they are exceptional, and ‘Lenny’ will certainly be back for further learning. As with our children you invest wisely in their futures and with Total K9, I can assure you it’s a very wise investment. Thank you.!

I can’t rate Rob and his team highly enough. They had my GSD for residential training to work on some aggressive behaviour shown towards our other dog and also with her obedience training. The results were fantastic and she is so well behaved even our 6yr old daughter can walk her through our village. I can’t thank you guys enough and look forward to returning soon.

Just over 4 weeks since Kilo joined the family, so thought it was the right time for an update. In short, we could not be happier. He has completely settled into our family, home and routines. Kilo is superb with the children, and amazingly protective of them. He spends all day with me, either in the study or clocking up the miles, both of wish he relishes. From a working point of view, he has certainly founds his guarding voice, which is great. When out and about with him, he is very easy, but acutely aware of what is going on around him. Watching him protecting and walking to the ‘heel’ of the pram is amazing. All other obedience elements are solid, and little and often I do training with him to reinforce / remind. A brilliant outcome, we love him. Please find attached a picture of him posing during a long walk with me, and another of Lucas ‘in charge’!

Total k9 was great we found a Beautiful German shepherd who is fitting in just fine ???? with the family the team was great really happy with Cooper hes so loving my son loves him 2 bits and copper is so loving

Big thanks to Total K9. My English bulldog Groot visited them for residential training, unfortunately due to personal circumstances I had to pick him up again after 3 days already. Still after 3 days I noticed quite a difference in Groot’s temperament, he’s a lot more relaxed now and already in this short time learned to stay longer and walks on the lead much better than before. He’s also a lot more cautious around other dogs now. They took greatest care of him especially Lewis was super dedicated. Again big thanks to Rob, Lewis and the rest of the team!!

I have a 12 month old anxious german shepherd. Had tried numerous local dog trainers for behaviour on lead, barking and lunging when other dogs are about and also general recall behaviour. Nothing seemed to work. I trawled the net looking for inspiration and came across total k9. Absolutely unbelievable. Total life saver and would be my first recommendation to anyone straight away. They took my dog for 2 weeks and when I turned up to collect her I hardly recognised her. She was calm, walked nice, no barking, no lunging. They took the time to go through everything she had learnt so that I could keep it going at home. The guys were brilliant so understanding and helpful. I got video updates of my dog too which were top quality. I stay 5 hours away from total k9 but wouldn't go anywhere else now. There is nothing that could possibly be improved in your service. Thank you for all yohr help.

My two dogs spent a few weeks with Rob and his Team to try to improve their behavior on a few fronts, in particular their walking (not pulling) and also joint walking together (which was never previously possible). What a transformation, they are like two different dogs when out and about walking now. My lab no longer pulls like a huskey on a sled and walks beautifully to heel with zero pulling, and my sprocker is a pure delight (he is even much calmer at home as well). When walking them together it is amazing, a true transformation. We had NEVER been able to take them out together, however, now this changes everything for the better. Rob and his Team and in particular Matt and Lewis are superb. So pleasant, patient and outstanding trainers. This team are the best of the best and we will not hesitate to come back for further training needs and development for our dogs.

I need using my daughter’s google accounting to wrote “Thanks” to Total K9. We bought protection dog-“Bella” from them at two weeks ago. Because we got robbery before, that was scared my daughter and my wife. When Bella came to our home, my wife not felt restless in the night. Bella is very clever, friendly And loyalty. Bella always follow the order, even she came to our home in the first day. In these 14 days, Bella already built good relationships with my daughter, my wife and even our naughty cat.

I have a dobermann who had become uncontrollable to walk and was highly reactive towards people, dogs ,birds, everything !! he is only 9 months but he is the size of a fully grown dog and a powerful puller. I tried different trainers and all types of harnesses and just about managed to walk him in a dogmatic face harness although he still pulled in that. I had to walk him at the crack of dawn and late at night and go off track so we didn't see any other dogs. I have just got him back after he spent 3 weeks with Rob & Jevon and he walks perfectly to heel and today he walked past two dogs with barely a whine!!! its been a transformation and I cant recommend them enough.

Total K9 have worked miracles with our 4 year old staffy. He can now be walked on the lead without pulling me over and shows no aggression with other dogs at all. Highly recommended, super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent dog training service.

All I can say iswhat anamazing place and the work by Rob and Nathan has been incredible. My 2 year old Dobermann Rodney was a nightmare to walk and also I caused a problem with introducing a ball to distract him out on our walks. He became so focussed on the ball and would not listen. Well after 4 weeks with Total K9 I have a well behaved dog, and been given the tools to continue the training. I was even able to take him with my border terrier on a charity walk where there were over 100 dogs. Can't thank you guys enough

we had the great pleasure of buying our German Shepard Jake from Total K9. Rob spent time with us and found out what we were looking for and we were introduced to Jake. Rob and Josh then travelled down to Kent and delivered and spent time with us settling him in. he is a loving and very protective Dog and he has settled in with our two other Dogs and family and we all sleep soundly in our Beds knowing Jake is with us. if you are looking for a family protection Dog make sure you buy it from Total K9. We cannot speak highly enough of Total K9. We have purchased two dogs from Rob and both have bless us with love, fun and protection. We got Ustin in March 2018 and Shelby just a few weeks ago. Both were trained in protection and obedience to a very high standard by Rob and his team. That training and the high calibre of working bloodline German Shepherds that Rob supplies has rewarded us with daily enjoyment and peace of mind. We were slightly nervous how a big dog would get on with our little Jack Russel and Pug, we didn’t need to be, they both love Ustin and now Shelby too. Rob thank you ever so much, we couldn’t be happier with Shelby and with Ustin. We have an almost perfect family, we feel very safe and that is down to the great work that you do and the magnificent dogs that you supply. Anyone considering a protection dog should talk to Rob, his professionalism and experience and that of his team will impress you and your dog will impress you even more than that. When the time comes for us to have another German Shepherd, there is no doubt that we will only be contacting Total K9.

We bought a trained pet dog from Total k9. Zola, she is absolutely perfect,walks without pulling,sit,stay lay down all are easy to do . She behaves exactly as they said she would,and has coped very well with everything we have done, meeting people,dogs and all the hustle of our life She is a credit to total k9. We have no hesitation recommend them to anyone looking for a new addition to there life.

Rob and his team at Total K9 provided a level of professionalism and service that is hard to find. They provided 2 weeks of residential training for my large rescued cross breed dog (Cooper) without any knowledge of the dogs history. During that time Rob and his team built very positive relationships with Cooper who had zero confidence, had likely been abused by his previous owners, had never walked on a lead or learnt basic commands and had poor interaction with dogs and humans. I handed over a very nervous and anxious Cooper and was amazed at how much he had improved during our handover after the training. Cooper was more positive, engaged well with others, walked well on his lead and responded positively to basic commands. Outstanding results! I would highly recommend Total K9 for any type or level of training your dog requires. I am so impressed that I will be engaging in further improvement training for Cooper and myself in the coming months.

Highly recommend. We were looking for a well trained loving family dog who would just walk through the door and fit straight into family life. After a couple of conversations with Rob he understood exactly what we were looking for and this is exactly what he provided. Our whole family including young children feel safe around our new family member , he is an amazing dog, so well behaved, always wants to please, we take him everywhere - he even sleeps with one eye open so he knows where we are! Thank you Rob and to Nathan for a wonderful handover despite the pouring rain. We are truly delighted with our new dog he is better than we could ever have wished for, you are true experts in your field.

Rob and his team worked wonders with our American bulldog, he went as a boisterous pup and came back after a week walking great ,sits, lays down and even waits on command until you go back to where you left him or shout him to you. Cannot thank these guys enough, truly are amazing and would never take a dog of mine anywhere else.
