First time at this facility. the receptionist Jenna was very kind and my dog Chopper the Beagle received a very thorough examination by Dr. Donald Wood. Choppers illness was discussed and we were advised what to do for him. The facility is very clean, and the fees are very reasonable.

Dr. Wood did an extremely thorough and professional review of my dog's medical history which includes her current autoimmune condition. He answered my questions directly and encouraged me to ask any questions I had. He recommended very appropriate testing for my dog and explained clearly why it was recommended and how it would help shape her future treatment. All of the staff have been very kind to my dog and very friendly, and attentive to my needs and comfort. The practice seems to be set up to be very efficient without being rigid or rushed. I drove from Los Angeles and it was well worth it, without question. I have had dogs all my life and this is by far the best veterinary practice I have encountered.

I have had dogs all my life; gone to loads of different vets and their practices. Dr Wood and his spectacular team are the best I have been to hands down.

We love Dr Wood and his team, they are beyond sweet & always so welcoming. The administrator Jenna is one of the nicest gals you will ever meet, she greets us & our pup Mochi with a wonderful smile each time and always offers refreshments - She really makes the office feel like home :) Dr Wood was very informative and so patient with all our questions. Rachel & Haley are just as great, they take the time to make sure all questions are answered and have made us feel very comfortable putting our puppy's care in their hands. After each treatment Jenna calls the next day to follow up and make sure everything is going well and there are no adverse side effects. This office is very honest with their costs upfront and affordable as well, I can't say enough great things about them. If you are looking for a place to bring your pet make it this one, thank you again guys!

Wow just wow!!! I was in complete "awe" from the first phone call until the day of the visit. Dr. Woods and his team were incredibly helpful and professional! I was in a very tight bind and needed a medical certificate for my boy Frankie last minute so he could fly with me. I found them on Google requested an appointment and Jenna was able to squeeze me in last minute. When I arrived it was such an awesome stress free experience. Staff are so polite and helpful . They gathered all the documents my boy needed and explained everything every step of the way. Dr. Woods was amazing with frankie, he took the time to explain things and answered all my questions. He was great with frankie and nothing ever felt rushed. I'm so happy I found such a great place to take care of my pup. Highly recommend!!!

We recently adopted a mini golden doodle puppy and finding THPHHC was a godsend. We haven’t had a dog in 40 years and we were nervous about his care. Dr. Wood and his staff, Jenna, Casey and Rachel are complete professionals. The prices are very fair and responsible. The care they give “Archie” is nothing short of fantastic. Anyone looking for five star care couldn’t do better than Torrey Highlands Pet Care Health Center.

We just got a puppy in Feb. We chose Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center because it's close to home. I've been so impressed by them. They are so welcoming and caring. The place is very clean. I trust what they say. I feel very comfortable with them so far. I would recommend them!

Brought my 82 lbs. GSD (2 years and 7 months) in for a new patient visit yesterday, in addition to getting a 2nd opinion on a lump I noticed in his groin area. Not only was the entire staff responsive, but each one of them took their time assisting with the whole process with such care and compassion. Dr. Wood made sure to explain the different options my dog's current vet did not even suggest. I am also extremely relieved to hear that they see large breed dogs on the regular. I cannot say enough good things about Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center! My dog and i recently relocated from the east coast and I was looking at establishing care with a new vet. Everyone from the front desk, to the vet tech to the vet was superb and so kind! Everyone spent so much time with us explaining and really listening - which is huge in my book! I was also called the following day to see if I had any questions - amazing! Penny (my dog) LOVED them as well!

We had our first vet appointment today and we were more than pleased with the service! Getting a new puppy during COVID isn’t the easiest to get him socialized and it was important for us to be a part of our new puppy’s first vet appointment. They were able to close off the whole facility so we could do this. Dr wood sat down with us and covered bases we didn’t even know we should cover and educated us on important puppy issues we didn’t know existed. The facility was very clean and modern and the staff was extremely friendly and informative.

I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Wood and everyone at Torrey Highlands. I was so fearful about the health of my kitty, and not only was I kindly treated on the phone in my state of worry, I was welcomed and comforted in the office. Through each step, I was provided with the details necessary to move forward, the status of my cat’s situation, and felt eased by the guidance provided. I sincerely feel that my experience here gave me peace that my cat was in exceptional hands and felt confident in supporting her at home with the advised home actions for me to take prior to follow up. But beyond the technical aspects, when you’re in a state of worry about your pet, and you find a loving and caring veterinarian and office who soothe your panic, that is truly priceless. Many thanks for taking care of my sweet kitty and taking care of me too.
