Was frantically looking for a clinic in order to get my pups health certificate to fly and they managed to squeeze us in and definitely saved our lives! Would definitely recommend to my family down here

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Schexneider and her team here in Tierrasanta. It's so refreshing to have human to human (for the pet mamas and dads) interaction and feel like your fur baby is getting the same love at the vet as they do at home! Every time we go in, everyone is so friendly. They take such good care of our French Bulldog, Chewie, and we couldn't be more thankful to have found them.

The Dr and Staff are top notch. They take the time to explain any questions. They care and are so respectful. After a few unpleasant experiences trying to establish vet care in San Diego, after a military cross country move, I read a military spouse post on this establishment. I couldn’t be more grateful. We had a unique situation with our dog and it went from being stressful to knowing we were in good hands. This establishment is the vet care you want at a very affordable price.

One Saturday morning our little puppy got sick. We called everywhere and were unable to get an appointment. Even the Vet Emergency Rooms were at capacity and wouldn't see our puppy. Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital made an exception and saw our puppy right away without an appointment. They have been kind, patient, and much more affordable than other vets we've visited. They are now our go to vet and we're so happy to have found them.

Professional, courteous, prompt! I had to find a vet quick - my dogs vet was booked until next week. Tierrasanta Vet was able to see my dog quickly and took great care of him! If they were closer they'd be my regular vet! :)

I had an appointment with another veterinary hospital that misinformed me and cancelled my appointment last minute. I found Tierrasanta and it literally felt like a gift from above! They didn’t hesitate to get me in that same day and I had the best experience. I wasn’t sure how my dog would handle going in alone with people In masks, but they made her comfortable and were so sweet. Real, down to earth people and phenomenal care. I also paid significantly less than I’d expected to pay. This will be my dog’s forever Vet. Thanks loves.

My first experience with Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital was wonderful. My rescue feline CJ needed attention and Dr. Schexneider and her staff were there to provide help immediately. I have great comfort in knowing all I have to do is pick up the phone and call if I need anything for my CJ and his brother Kramer. I highly recommend Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. S and her team were AMAZING with our big, anxious boy. They lent us a scarf with calming pheromones before we walked him into the office. The exam room had a calming plug in, a calming oil diffuser, and a basket of different treats to coax him with. They fed him the baby carrots we brought for him. Dr. S was able to take him back to the exam area to examine him and administer his shots without any problem. They also go over the bill BEFORE doing anything, so you’re not surprised by it at the end. So glad they’re close to home.

My fur baby Anastasia got a check up today and she was a little nervous. Thankfully the staff and Vet on site were helpful and came to the rescue! The staff gave her a "Fear free" bandana that has pheromones which relaxed my fur baby. All of the staff were so friendly!!! ???????????????? My fur baby is well taken care of and we have a follow up appointment next week! Yay!

This veterinary hospital is absolutely wonderful. The receptionist is very kind and has a cute dog that likes to sit up there and greet as well. The nurse that assisted me and my kitty was so sweet, she answered all the extra questions I forgot to ask the veterinarian herself. Dr. Schexneider was wonderful, hands down the best vet I've ever taken my kitty to. She was very honest and straightforward about prices, she was so sweet and loving to my little kitty. 5 stars, I highly recommend them, they're the only place I felt comfortable leaving my cat overnight. Added Edit: they have these cute bandanas you can use for your doggies to help ease anxiety.

Just moved here abt a month ago. Went here and got X-rays and pain Rx and allergy Rx. I have to say that after just 2 doses I notice a HUGE improvement with my dog due to his allergies! The vet was very informative about my dogs medical needs and provided information on the surgical location. I am very happy here and will be using them as my regular vet. ????

I have been meaning to make this post since the first call I made to this vet office. The staff is incredible! I can’t express the amount of help they have been for my German Shepard and his anxiety dealing with vet offices. They planned my visit quick, when there were no other dogs coming in, they helped me walk him in and they even had me come in for a visit just to get to know him for free. My dog did so poorly at the previous vet we went to and was so scared but he slept during his appointment here and let them examine him no problem. The office is clean and the doctor was so knowledgeable as well as all the other staff. I also had to call because I dropped the ball and ran out of a prescription for my dog and they wrote one immediately for pickup without any problems. My records were transferred from the previous vet by them so I didn’t even have to deal with that. I highly recommend this office! They go above and beyond 100%!!! I’m so mad it took me so long to sit down and write a review. The prices are also pretty great! If you are going somewhere else I highly recommend changing to this office :)

After months of internet searches and tearful research, I called Michelle’s office to ask about their pet euthanasia services. As difficult as the decision was we set an appointment. Immediately after entering the staff were friendly. They gave us a private exam room where Michelle went over our dogs history and recent concerns. She detailed what the euthanasia process. This was one of the most difficult decisions my family has ever had to do. There was no pressure, no rush and they all offered words of comfort when everything came to an end. We received the most beautiful hand written card with an ink paw print and laminated nose prints. I would recommend Michelle and her staff for any pet owner. They will treat your pet like their own family ????

I bring my two yorkies there, after having a terrible experience with another vet. They are always nice and really show the care that they have for your furbabies. They are gentle and soft spoken. They tell you how to care for your kids so they will feel and get better soon. I would recommend this place if you want the care for your family member.

Dr and staff are very nice. I would love to continue to use them but I feel they run to many unnecessary tests that are taken to often. The longer she practices I’m sure she will be able to answer these questions with out costly tests to support a simple diagnosis.

If you'd like to sit next to your best friend that just died for over 40 minutes in the lobby then this is the place for you to go.

It was my first and last visit to this veterinary hospital. The nurses were all outstanding and extremely nice. My german shepherd had been itching her ears so I made a next day appointment. The doctor I saw (the lady) walked in with a list of roughly $500 worth of things she wanted to do to my dog, and would not even look at my dog before I approved of the list for her. It was infuriating. She wouldn't even look at my dog's ear prior to me giving an answer to her crazy list of items that she was trying to sell me. I finally looked her in the eye and said I was leaving. They ended up charging me the $65+ cost just to walk through the door, and they never once looked at my poor dog. --Edit-- Dr. Schexneider, after quickly looking up your name, I instantly recognized you as the doctor with whom I had my bad experience. I'm sorry, but I will not be rescinding this review. You spoke to me about various costs without ever looking at my dog's ears, and after I was in tears, I got up, walked to the front desk, you awkwardly stared at me as I checked out, and the nurse looked frightened. You never provided me or my dog with services, and only spoke of the ever increasing cost of potential services you could provide to my dog, without previously identifying what was wrong with her. I went somewhere else the next day, and my dog was well taken care of, the people were wonderful, and I ended up paying only $150 total for the medicines and visit, as that was all that was required to help my dog with her issue.

I won't go anywhere else for the rest of my time in San Diego. The staff is amazing and obviously genuinely cared for my fur baby.

Finally found an excellent veterinary practice! Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital is worth every gold star.

One of the most thorough and compassionate doctors in the industry I love taking my puppies to Dr. S she’s one of the best from the minute you enter the office with the therapeutic diffusers of lavender your puppy gets a little scarf to relax and best treatment so happy I found this place !

We are new puppy owners and wanted to check out the two Veterinary Clinics here in Tierrasanta. Dr Schexneider and Jan Cizik at the Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital spent an hour and a half with us answering all of the our questions. We were so comfortable with them and the program they laid out for us we looked no farther.

Always a very friendly and caring attitude by Dr. Schexneider and all staff members. Right now I am on a walker after back surgery, and yesterday two staff members went out of their way to help me get my cat carrier back into my car. I have been a client of Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years and plan to keep going there as long as I own any pets. I highly recommend any pet owner in the San Diego area to go there for veterinary care of their pet(s).
