Both the vets and the staff are great. They were so very accommodating and went out of their way to care for my very anxious dog when I needed to leave her with them for an extended period of time. They are not very pushy with meds or services and take the time to explain everything and answer any questions, which means a lot to me.

We've taken our dog, Serena, to SPVH and Dr. Carhart for over 9 years now and without exception, Serena has received wonderful compassionate care, not only from Dr. Carhart, but also from his friendly staff. Everyone at SPVH always makes a special point to make sure Serena is comfortable, treating her as if she were their own personal companion dog. She responds with lots of tail wags. Dr. Carhart and his knowledgeable staff always make time to listen to our concerns and to offer excellent advice during office visits, phone calls, and emails. Serena is one energetic loving dog because of her excellent SPVH care. We highly recommend SPVH. Norine and George

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE! Aaron at the front desk is rough with the animals and VERY rude to the owners!!! I’m writing this review after my third visit to this office and experiencing the horrible behavior that Aaron displayed all three times. The recent experience was by far the worst. Against my better judgment I booked an appointment on 12/21/19 to have my dog’s vaccination updated. I have a very energetic almost three year old lab who loves to say hi to people everywhere we go. Upon arriving I was asked to put my dog on the scale. His weight registered and Aaron remarked that there was no way it was correct, there was no way he lost that much weight! I explained we had followed the vet’s recommendations so he should be just about right. Aaron again remarked that there is just no way and rolled his eyes. After hearing Aaron’s RUDE remakes about my dog’s weight as we were checking in I experienced something no pet owner or patron of any professional business should have to experience. As Aaron came around from behind the front desk he rushed at my dog and grabbed him by his muzzle as he grabbed the leash out of my hand my dog jerked back and started to jump to get away. That’s when Aaron grabbed my dog’s harness and flipped him on his back. I spoke up and grabbed my dog’s leash back and said I didn’t appreciate how rough he was being with him and we don’t treat our dog like that. Aaron raised his voice at me and said “I was just correcting his behavior.” I told him he reacted because he rushed and my dog which elicits a playing reaction in any dog. I told both Aaron and the other girl at the desk that this was our last visit to this office, I won’t tolerate my animal being treated like that. The girl at the desk took my dog back. During that time, that is when Aaron again stated that he was just trying to correct my dog’s behavior, and from that point Aaron just wanted to argue that his behavior was correct. I told him that my dog was not his animal, and he was out of line for how he handled him. I reminded him that he is also in a customer service role and even on that front he was acting WAY out of line. He said I shouldn’t speak to him like that. Then he told me not to come back to their office ever again (I already told him we were NEVER coming back). Basically Aaron thinks he knows everything about handling dog’s but obviously he doesn’t…he’s really just a receptionist with poor people skills, a huge ego, and does not care about the animals welfare. My husband and I have had two different dogs over the course of the last 12 years and have never experienced seeing our animal treated rough by anyone in a veterinary office. There is really no excuse for what happened. In view of this recent experience with this veterinarian office, my biggest concern is, if Aaron is willing to treat my dog like that in front of me, how are they treating my pet when I am not present. If I could give this place and experience negative starts, I would!

Great bedside manner, knowledgeable staff, prompt care, outstanding customer service and they love on your pet. What more could a pet owner ask for? The Vet, techs and other staff are remarkable and even give good counsel via phone.

Scripps Parkway Vet Hospital has been our family's vet since we moved here 19 years ago. Dr. Carhart and Dr. Lindberg are so compassionate and caring, and their staff is top-notch. I trust them completely with our four-legged family members, and would recommend them to anyone with pets.

Dr. Carhart has been our small animal vet for more than ten years. He is incredibly kind, patient and thorough. You can tell how much he truly cares about the animals. I know he will look at a problem from every angle and make sure he gets to the bottom of it. I'm grateful for his incredible knowledge of veterinary medicine, as well as his kind, caring nature. His staff are wonderful too! My animals love them and I'm reassured that they are in good hands.

Last week we made the difficult decision to euthanize our sweet kitty who was nearly 20 years old and very ill. Georgia and Aaron in the front office were very compassionate and supportive. Dr. Carhart gently examined our kitty and clearly explained the procedure. We were not rushed in any way and were given plenty of time to say our final good-byes, even though it was the end of their business day. We give this veterinary practice a solid 5-star rating and will continue to bring our other pets to them for care. Thank you.

We have taken our pets to Scripps Parkway Veterinary Hospital since they opened. They are great and I wish I could go there too! They are caring. They know that some pet owners think of their pets as pets and some pet owners think of their pets as family. They don't judge either way. They always list out the options for your pets care and keep in mind the pet's quality of life.

We've been taking our cats here since they opened, and they've always provided outstanding care. From our late, beloved Socks as he fought cancer, to our new rough and tumble boys, Spot and S'more, the doctors and the staff have been enormously helpful, and caring. They treat our furry family as their own.

As an original owner in the neighborhood, Dr. Carhart's practice has been our vet for 18 years and 2 dogs. All of the doctors, nurses, and staff are incredibly friendly, caring, and helpful people. Routine visits, emergency visits (darn those bees, and the puppies that love to hunt them!), even major health issue diagnosis and referrals, they have handled it all and done it well.

I've used SPVH for over 12 years. I have always been impressed with the professionalism and compassion of the whole team, from the doctors to the techs. Both my dogs have received nothing but excellent care there. I would recommend SPVH to anyone who wants nothing but the best care for their animal companions.
