Fantastic veterinarian business! The doctors are awful a pleasure to speak to about concerns of your animals. The staff take great care of your pet during the whole visit. They gave me great recommendations for my dog Sunny on both visits I have had and I am do thankful to have found a vet business that is so easy to ask questions and mention concerns about my dog and get honest answers. The visit prices are reasonable and they also have their own online pharmacy so it makes it super easy to have them handle prescriptions for items as need and their prices are fair and comparable to other pharmacy for pets. Thank you for such a great experience and caring for my pet!

Great vet. I've taken my dog here the last few years and they always take care of him well. Annual visits with vaccines as well as surgery to remove bad teeth all have been a good experience.

Dr.Sawyer has taken care of my 2 Yorkies (1 Now 17 the other 14). My 17 yr old woke up on wed and couldn't walk. I was NEW to San Carlos...Upon hearing of "TINKER'S" ISSUE they got her in within 2 Hours on what was a Solidly Booked Day !! Tech's in office were Awesome !! If I could give 100 Stars I would !! San Carlos will be my Veterinary Hospital as long as Dr. Sawyer and the Awesome Staff are there !!

Not sure who answers calls at this location but I was told to sign up, and call right back to make an appointment. Did exactly that, called twice and got no answer. Call a few hours later, someone picked up and literally just hung up on me without saying a word.

I’ve had my animals here for years and the staff is very friendly and informative. My vet Dr. Acosta is truly amazing and can do miracles!

Great experience in the morning, 8am appointments are the way to go otherwise you’ll have a 45 min wait even after your appointment.

Absolute worst human service! We left this clinic years ago for the same reason and felt with years past, new management it would be different and tried again.... NOPE! Won’t ever go back. Horrible

Doctors and staff are so caring and kind. The price is so worth the high quality care my precious pets receive. Have brought my pets here more than three decades.

Dr. Acosta is wonderful! He shows genuine care for your pets! He is very patient explaining Your pets condition and answering any questions that you might have. He also will give you options depending on your needs financially and what is the reasonable treatment at the time. I always feel confident with him caring for all my three dogs!

I love everyone at SCAH! Mac came out in the morning to get my dogs as Dr. Acosta was doing his best to squeeze them in, in between scheduled patients, and I went home to wait. Dr. Acosta when he called gave me all the time I needed, I never felt rushed, or that I was taking up too much time. Gretchen brought them back out to me when it was time for me to pick them up later in the day. All in all it was (and always is) a wonderful experience! I didn’t ask, but I was very glad to hear, that both my big dog and my puppy just fell asleep when they got there and were really good! I figured the big guy would, but I wasn’t sure yet if the puppy would and I was extremely pleased to find out that they were both so chill and well behaved!

Dr Kus is great. This vet office is well run and staff spend time going over tests and issues.

The staff at San Carlos Animal Hospital took wonderful care of our dog! My family has been going there for years, so when I got my own first dog and we worried about him I knew I had to take him to San Carlos. They squeezed us in, even though they had a tight schedule, and the staff really took the time to ask us a lot of questions and really understand the whole picture behind what was going on with Ace. Additionally, they didn’t try and force us into a ton of unreasonable tests and expenses. The staff told us exactly what they thought was going on, and what would be the most beneficial. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good reliable vet. Thank you so much to all the staff at San Carlos!

It was a pleasure to return to here. My family used this hospital when Dr. Persky and Dr. Gehring were there. Dr. Nishiki took care of our cars.The other vets tool care of our golden retrievers.

I found San Carlos animal hospital through Yelp and I’m very glad I did! I was nervous about taking both my cats to the vet due to Covid guidelines I wouldn’t be able to go inside with them. Fortunately, once the staff took my girls inside they kept me informed of every detail so I could be assured they were in great hands. They were very thorough making sure to go over the online intake form I filled out and to see if I had any additional questions or concerns. They also made sure to call if and before any services were rendered so I knew the prices and would give them the ok. Dr. Nishida was AMAZING! She patiently listened to all of my questions and gave me very detailed answers. I left feeling great about taking my girls here. To my surprise they called the following day to check in on both of them- I’ve never had such a wonderful experience with a veterinarian clinic before. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr Acosta genuinely cares about your pet. Not pressure or up selling. Just really looking out for you and your pet.

The doctors and staff are always friendly, caring and helpful. We appreciate that they also try to save us money when possible. We highly recommend them.

They have been able to work around the limitations of COVID well, although it’s odd to not be there during the assessment of your pet. The timing could be better: their parking lot is a little small for their new system. And waiting in hot cars is not ideal. Might be best for them to determine (and notify) which pets are best dropped off and picked up,later, staggered with the in-and-outs (vaccinations). I did miss chatting with Dr. Nishida as usual and always trust her judgement when it comes to my Harry.

Dr. Acosta and his team have and will continue to be our preferred choice for veterinary care for years to come. They've become an extension of our family and always provide the very best care to our pets.
