Can enter due to Covid. Had to call then the medications were brought to the car. Gave Credit Card number over the phone for payment.

Dr. Rodriguez is awesome. We have an old ornery chihuahua named MurderFace and she is the only doc that can get close to him. They’ve been our Vet for about a year and change and all the interactions have been very positive All the dogs are relatively happy customers (I mean at the end of the day it’s still the vet)

I recently relocated here from Florida. I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Perry and the wonderful staff at Rancho San Carlos! I took my sweet senior dog, Rylee, there this afternoon and was SO impressed with how they run the clinic; it's cleanliness, respect of Covid guidelines and compassion and professionalism of the staff. I can't find one bad thing to say. We had a wonderful experience! Thank you all!!! ????

This is, by far, the best group of vets I have ever encountered. They truly care about your pet. I trust them 100%.

They are excellent. Very compassionate and caring. They may be a good value, but that is not something I look for in a vet. I highly recommend

I absolutely love Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic. Since day 1 they have always been so great! The staff, customer service, quality, the love they have for your pet is amazing. They treat your fur baby like it’s their own. I will refer everyone always to Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic and I trust them 110% with everything for my miss Layla. Dr Rodriguez is my go to. She is outstanding at what she does! She goes the extra mile to explain everything and to put your mind at ease. I would also love to give a shout out to Sam for helping out miss Layla and explaining the medications and dosage after Layla’s spay appointment. She is super knowledgeable and so appreciated :) everyone in the office that I have talked to has been such gems! It’s truly the best place for your pet. Please check them out you won’t be disappointed:) thank you again to everyone!

All the positive reviews really speak for themselves. My experience with Rancho San Carlos has been nothing but positive. I took my adopted dog, Maui, here for his yearly checkup and vaccines and another time to get some stitches removed. I think the team is wonderful. Maui gets nervous in new situations with new people. He didn’t want to get out of the car. The staff was super patient. I sent him in with a muzzle for safety. When he came out he was looking happy as a clam, muzzle off, and they even told me he ate peanut butter for them! That was really great to hear they took the time and effort to make him feel more comfortable. The staff is super friendly and honest and I trust them with my dog. I just moved out of state so unfortunately I have to find a new vet. Finding a vet you can trust is stressful but give these guys the chance and they won’t disappoint. Thank you to everyone here who helped my little guy feel comfortable ❤️

Caring phone conversation with regard to my concern in addressing my dog's health. I am looking forward to Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic providing me ideas to improve my dog Oreo's health.

I have been very pleased bringing my pups here. Personable staff and very friendly. And it’s more affordable than other vets I’ve used in the past. I’m always surprised and say “That’s all?”

We have been coming here for a few months and already love them. The doctors take their time with you, answer questions and are very helpful. The office staff is also extremely nice!

"Under new management" Like our last vet, which relies on years of positive reviews they didn't earn, this vet clinic is "under new management". Every one of these buyouts is done to leverage the existing reputation of a business they didn't start. They all have their shtick -- the hook they use to squeeze you for more money. Some are obsessed with dental health. Others adopt a sales process that resembles a used car lot. Dr Fransioli had pet opinions about the dangers of grain-free pet food. (They proudly display the sponsorship deal they have with one of the big corporate brands of grain-rich frankenfood.) They also pushed a brand new vaccine for a rare disease -- along with the latest fearmongering about 30 cases(!!!) diagnosed in the entire county (that's less than 0.01% of the county pet population). This "disease" is comparable to the flu, but they're pushing the vax hard -- for all pets -- a major red flag given how unlikely an infection is. The risk-reward ratio does not justify this one given the uncertainties with new vaccines -- and how rare infection is. (Look up the swine flu vaccine debacle of 1976. That one was approved for use _in_humans_ before they realized it was doing more harm than good.) And then the last straw... We went to an appointment just to renew the prescription our dog has had for years... the poor thing got double vaccinated because her last vaccination wasn't recorded on her records. We paid their exorbitant, marked-up price for more of our pet's incontinence meds. Then lo and behold, we come to find out they only renewed the prescription for a month. One effing month. When we went to get a refill, they requested a urine test and another $72. Our dog was in their office a month prior -- explicitly to renew her prescription -- so either the urine test is important and they skipped it (they made absolutely no mention of it at her first appointment), or it's not important and they're just fishing for more money. (When I didn't bite, they played it off saying they were just "making a recommendation" even though they made absolutely no mention of the urine test being optional until I balked.) The best part? I jumped through their hoops and listened to their bs, just to get them to write another prescription for one more month. One. Whole. Month. It's so incredibly frustrating that vets play these games, especially with all the closures and scheduling backups. Now we have to find another vet and make another appointment next time, just to get the meds that our dog takes at 25% the prescribed dose. (Vets just love to massively over-prescribe the meds they sell you, and won't even mention the fact that you can try a lower dose. I guess that's why they feel the need to constantly monitor for kidney and liver failure instead.)

Since Drs. Rehs retired the clinic has undergone changes, all of which have been great and all of which play forward the care and love that we all felt with the Rehs. My vet now, Dr.Rodriguez is amazing. The staff are kind and caring. If you want the best care for your pets, come here!

Highly responsive, very knowledgeable, caring and practical. We're grateful we found Dr. Halsey at a time when our dog had suffered a critical injury four years ago. She worked with us to provide meaningful, effective care that I believe saved our dog's life and continues to provide excellent care for him.

Dr. Jeff was great but he recently retired and sold the business. Not the same place anymore. I'm sure the new vet's are great, just not the same vibe for me. I will be searching for a new place for my dogs

Awesome Vet clinic! Went here twice this week for two different pets and had an excellent experience; quick and on-time curbside intake, caring and professional service for the doggies, informative consult with the Vets, and quick wrap-up and reasonable pricing. The COVID protocols make for a better overall experience because there's no sitting around the waiting room with nervous pets; hoping that remains a standard for the future!

I can't say how much I appreciate Dr. Basso, Dr. Halsey and their friendly compassionate team. I brought my dog into her office and found, much to my dismay that my sweet pup most likely had cancer. Such a horrible position to be in to decide what steps to take after hearing something like that. Dr. Basso spent 40 minutes with me on the phone carefully and honestly explaining my dog's condition, my options and answering all my questions. I wish I could hug her but COVID-19 is upon us right now and that's not possible. Hugs to the Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic team!

These folks are always top notch with our 14 yr old. Been coming for years and always well taken care of. I completely trust all the staff with our little guy. :)

I love Dr Halsey. One of our dogs is very worried about being examined, and she goes way above and beyond to make the experience as least stressful as possible. And for the owner, aka me!, too, especially in these covid times when you can't be there (although that might be a good thing given how worried I am...) Judging by the dog's behavior after the visits, it isn't particularly stressful to him and is showing no signs of avoidance to being touched. If I have a choice, I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else. Completely trust her. <3

Super friendly staff...made us and my pet feel welcome. Really nice Dr. You can tell that they genuinely care about your pet and want to help it. Cost is definitely reasonable also.

Honestly, one of the best places to take your furry family member. Educated, Professional, Courteous and take the time to really break things down and explain to you what's going on with your pet. Also, take the time to prioritize what needs to get done and what can wait. All pets can get expensive but they will help you with what you can afford and if not help you figure out payments or help refer you to a place that can help.
