Hot Doggity Grooming San Diego, California

We have had PetSmart groom our Yorkie from the first time she was groomed. Then the pandemic of 2020 hit and our puppy turned 1 and had to stay home for the next 9+ months. When things opened back up, no one could deal with the spoiled, difficult child our baby had become. Eileen is the only groomer who can get Ruby groomed despite her difficult, pay attention to me.. Even though I hate to be groomed, personality she has taken on. I would never bring her to another groomer unless I no longer lived near Hot Dog Diggity.

Completely amazing!!!!! I never leave reviews but I absolutely had to leave one this time! I moved to San Diego 2 years ago and everywhere else I took my dogs to get groomed they came back smelling like dirty bath water. I came to Eileen and this time my baby smells beautifully clean! She is patient and responsive with your baby. My Tess looks just like her old self. I think I have found our permanent groomer!

I found Eileen via a quick Google search for a dog groomer near me. Eileen is very responsive via text and always makes a spot for my husky, Gotham and my Yorkie, Max. She never complains and always makes sure the animals she takes on are fully vaxxed and up to date with their shots. She's gentle, kind, but can be stern when she needs to be. She's knowledgeable -- really knows her stuff regarding training, grooming, and when to call the vet. She has an assistant who helps with the animals as well. She's small business so she's not corporate. Just give her a text and she'll make a spot for you. The entrance is in the side alley next to her house - she's got a whole extension built just for the pups. With covid, pickup and drop off is outside of the gate. I always have my mask handy and text her when I'm there so we can do drop off or pick up. She's a sweetheart!

Just a run down house, not an actual business. Was walking around these decrepit houses trying to find location (because it’s down an alley?) and owner canceled my dogs groom for being 5 mins late. Wouldn’t have brought my dog here if I had seen pictures of the location anyways. Highly unprofessional.

My two dogs have been going to Eileen ever since we moved to San Diego. They always look so cute and I know she takes good care of them! She has even groomed dogs we foster with a local rescue for us. Eileen is a true professional!

Best groomer in San Diego ! My dogs were going to PetSmart for years and they would be scared to go in this is not the case with Eileen ! She’s very professional reliable and reasonably priced . I recommend her !

She was rude, denied my dog for having knots, her agreement is to shave my dog and agreed then she disagreed. Waste of time . Wouldn’t recommend her for her attitude

Hot Doggity grooming is our favorite! Our dogs love Eileen! She is great with animals. She has a knack for calming even the most difficult dog who has had a rough life, & getting them to look their best. We have brought many of our rescued foster dogs, as well as our own pups, and have no complaints. We have also referred others who are very happy with the service.

You will not be disappointed in bringing your furry family member here. Very knowledgeable and friendly and the price can't be beat. Even gave us info on how to treat our dogs skin condition. Very fast service as well only took a little a hour for our shitzu. She looked incredible. Better than any other business I have ever used. Give this business a try you will not be disappointed.

She knows about doggies and does a decent job

Eileen, Too bad I can't leave 0 stars! Do not even get started with this woman. She has a SEVERE BIPOLAR DISORDER. SO RUDE SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Would come to pick up your dog earlier than arranged and would leave without waiting for 5mins, would not answer the phone, would hang up on you! Don't even want to think about how she is actually treating the animals when owners are not around!

Eileen worked with me as I had schedule change(at last min).She treated my pup and me with respect and she enjoys her job.

She did a great job! Everyone is complimenting Dex's new haircut. She is reasonably priced and got the job done pretty quickly considering my pup is not so great when it comes to grooming him. I'm definetnely going back.

Worst grooming experience ever. I have a sweet Kerry blue terrier who I brought in for her first puppy grooming appointment when she was 8 months old. I've bathed her previously and she loved it and even loved the blow dryer at the end. When I picked her up, Eileen told me how much she hated the blow dryer and how badly she behaved. When I bathed her at home later on, she was petrified of having a bath and she was shaking and whining when I turned on the blow dryer (wonder why). She ripped my dogs ear hair out with her hands (I actually witnessed it) which caused inflammation and she got water in her ear which caused an infection. I brought my dogs own bowl and water bottle because she cannot have tap water due to stomach sensitivity, and she gave her tap which caused horrible diarrhea for the next two days. After checking out her hair cut, which looked good except for a little patch missing on her left chest. I asked Eileen if she accidently clipped the hair too short and she said it was already there. I wanted to ensure she didn't have a mite overgrowth or fungus so I took her to the vet to get it checked out. A few hundred dollars later doing diagnostics came to show that she lied and it was literally nothing except she cut the hair too short. I feel as Eileen is cruel, out of date and extremely unprofessional. Your money will be a waste here and you don't want your pet put in a position like this. OHHH not to mention after I dropped my dog off and a price was agreed upon, THREE separate occasions she texted me to tell me she has to charge me more than what we agreed and demanded an extra $40 than the original price.

I have been coming to Eileen for a little over 4 years now. Always does a great job and treats my babies as if they were hers.

The shop may be new, but I've been going to Eileen for years and won't go anywhere else. My dog, Mack, absolutely loves her and the special attention she gives. As she is a loving "pet parent" herself, Eileen really cares about Mack's overall health. Her grooming is consistent and always done on time! You and your dog could not be in better hands than with Hot Doggity Grooming!

My little maltipoo Bodhi is quite a handful at the groomers, but Elieen at Hot Doggity does a great job. Cut is always even and she even brushes his teeth! I love that he can play with the other doggies while he is there too. And the location is so easy to access...right off the freeway and around the corner from my office!

We have been going to Hot Doggity for over four years and our yorkiepoo loves going to get pampered by Eileen! Her new location in Barrio Logan has parking which is a nice upgrade over the previous location downtown. We wouldn't think of taking our dog to any other groomer in town!

Eileen and staff are great! It is hard to find a really good groomer especially went it comes to grooming faces. I have been there twice now and both times my dog looked fantastic. Best grooming she has received since I moved to San Diego 7 years ago! Highly recommend Hot Doggity!

I've been taking my dogs to Eileen of Hot Doggity Grooming for about a year and a half now. When we first met, we just had 1 dog - now we're up to 3! She has always done a fabulous job on all of them. One of them is pretty anxious, and in the past, other groomers have blamed crooked hair cuts on his unwillingness to sit still. Somehow Eileen always manages him and he looks perfect every time. When we moved from downtown, we tried going to Petco since it was a little closer. It was the same price as Hot Doggity Grooming, but only half as good. More than a talented groomer, Eileen has given us advice on dog food, treats, medicine, and more to make sure our dogs are as healthy as possible.

Hot Doggity Grooming is the best! Pedro, our dog, always looks amazing with his great cut.... so thank you so much! The best in San Diego !
