Grand animal hospital is the only vet I know and they are very caring and also affordable. They have provided me with superior service for my cats and dog for years.

We tried a few vets in SD and ended up sticking with these guys. They're great and reasonably priced.

First time I called I was told they would neuter my bunny at 4 months old. I called to schedule the appt and now they are saying he has to be 6 months. My female will be pregnant by then!!

I love, love, LOOOVE this Vet office. Dr. Scoggin is the best. Very affordable. The staff is kind, respectful and thorough. I had a cat that was 17, I had at that point had her almost half my life. She was ready to cross over the rainbow, however, unfortunately at the time I had not one penny to my name. I was so worried and scared about what I was going to do. I didn't want her to suffer unnecessarily. I was distraught, heartbroken and super anxious. I called to ask what I could do to comfort her and hopefully allow her to pass peacefully with zero money. To my absolute surprise, the vet tech asked to put me on hold, came back not but a few minutes later, and asked if I had anything at all I could afford to pay to euthanize her Humanely. When I told her I was broke she put me back on hold and again in about 3 minutes returned and explained to me that since I had been coming there for over almost 20 years, to bring her in and they would in fact be happy to help her pass peacefully....at no charge! I was shocked, grateful and of course beside myself. I balled my eyes out the whole way there, while dropping her off, and all the way home. I couldn't believe it and was in such shock I forgot to thank them properly. I was with so much gratitude I still to this day don't know what I can do, more then just donate to them that I will convey the amount of appreciation I have for them to anyone who will listen. I still take my dog to them and will continue to take all my pets there until I have no more and every chance I get I tell everyone I can about their kindness and awesome care they gave my Kitty and continue to give my doggo!! I would give them 100 stars if I could and I will continue to recommend them to everyone and anyone in need of an amazing Vet office!! Thank You Grand Animal Hospital, I am forever in your debt!!

SO happy I found this place. Jessica is absolutely amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell how much she cares about not only the customers but animals as well. Give this woman a raise!

Service was great. My dog got healed in a week after getting spayed. No complications of any kind. Very friendly.

Since moving back to California from Texas about 3 or 4 years ago, I wasn't finding a vet office I was SUPER comfortable with, a lot of them felt very.. impersonal, even though they took care of my pups and rabbits. Grand Animal Hospital reminds me of the same care I had loved about my girls vet in TX and I immediately fell in love, despite it being a 30 min drive for me each way. I am completely happy with how they take care of me and my family! I found this office through Wee Companions, a small pocketpet rescue and had a wellness check for my 6 ratties and the doctor's were so attentive and happy to see my boys. I am happy with their prices, and the way they took care of my ratties. I immediately had the previous vet's send over my animals records and never feel like I am being shoo'd out the door with a high bill for "necessary" treatments.

Grand Animal hospital took great care of my rat Petunia when she had to get a mammary tumor removed. Great experience and very affordable. Dr. Scoggin seemed extremely knowledgable, which I've found was rare for exotics. Every person I spoke to was helpful and caring. When Petunia tore open her incision Grand was quick to fit us in! Best vet I've seen in San Diego!

Awkward. The receptionist on the phone, had trouble identifying and acknowledging one of my specific two Alaskan Malamute. Kept referencing the female when I had to repetively tell her the name of the male.

Good animal loving people!!! I'd rather bring my pets here instead of the cardboard cut, many doctors, but no personal care that you find at the pet stores...

I am very disappointed in the way Grand Avenue treats their customers. My dog was scheduled for non-urgent surgery to remove skin growths and teeth cleaning. Grand Avenue made the appointment and gave me the pre-surgical instructions. I showed up with my dog on the scheduled date and time and was told they didn't have my dog on the surgery schedule. The front desk did not give me an explanation or apology or even offer to reschedule the surgery. I have worked in Health Care for 43 years and was appalled at the lack of remorse. I took the day off from work and will be taking our business to another veterinarian in the future.

I genuinely love this vet clinic. Everyone is super nice and friendly, they treat my dog so kindly and take my concerns seriously, no matter how many times I call. This is the first vet clinic that I've actually felt comfortable in and trust bringing my pet to. I highly recommend it!

The staff at Grand Animal Hospital are exceptional in their work. The care they give my animals, along with the advice, has given them the longevity and quality of life anyone wants for their pets. I recommend all my friends to them.

Savannah had great care while having her surgery.

Two years ago, I gave this place a 5 star rating. After my last 2 visits I downgraded to 2 star. I brought my cat in to be seen for a possible urinary infection, and was told over the phone that I was allowed to go in with my cat during Covid (previously not allowed in). When I got there however I was informed that I was not permitted to enter because each doctor has different rules of who can enter. At the end of my visit I was given a 400$ bill and told to come back the following day so they can do all these X-rays and tests. I straight up told them no, then was given a 20$ antibiotic instead. It did the trick. I won’t be returning. I get Covid has turned everything around, but please don’t lie to me over the phone about your protocols, and a 400$ bill (without even asking me my thoughts) is offensive.

Always a great experience here, they take great care of my cat. Very professional, nice and affordable. I always feel very comfortable taking my cat here knowing she will get the best care.
