The place is decent and clean, with friendly staff. The past 2-3 times I've taken both of my pups here they have missed trimming their nails, and didn't clean their ears although I pay for their "premium" bath which includes it. Overall, it's decent if you want to avoid the mess in your own house, but they do miss parts of the service in my experience.

This was my first time there the people were very nice the service was okay for the price I paid for my puppy grooming it was a sadist fine not satisfactory.

Dirty Dogs Hillcrest has the most AWESOME staff! I have a rescue dog with a rough background, and everyone at Dirty Dogs has been so incredibly patient and understanding since I started fostering (and then “foster failed”) him last year. My dog loves the store and its staff so much that he refuses to go for neighborhood walks without stopping at Dirty Dogs! The self-serve wash option is convenient and uses the best products, and I love their treat selection. I will continue to be a loyal customer!

I'm too scared to clip my dogs nails so I'll forever be thankful for dirty dogs. They know how to go about my very anxious dog and are ok with walk-in for nail clipping.

Went to participate in an adoption event for our foster dog and even though it tuned out I couldn't take my foster dog, I am glad I went. The staff was very helpful, the specials were great, and they support the rescue group for which I foster, The Animal Pad. They have a self-wash option, they have groomers, a limited, but nice selection of colars and leashes, and a great selection of good dog food: dry, raw, partially cooked frozen, and lots more. They also have a nice loyalty program, so I will be going back.

If you have a small DOODLE - Ally at Dirty Dogs Hillcrest is your girl!! I am so picky and have such high expectations when it comes to my Maltipoo and Ally does not disappoint! She listens and will spend time with you before grooming your pup. I love a rounded teddy cut for the face, shorter body, and longer legs. Ally is SO knowledgeable and kind and is such a dog lover - you can tell she really loves and is passionate about what she does. I send all my doodle friends to her and I highly highly recommend for all your grooming needs. She does such an amazing job; THANK YOU, Ally!!

Being a hardcore dog lover, I'm very particular about where I take my pup, what I buy her, and the quality of the items I get for her. Thankfully, Dirty Dogs took care of all 3 in one place! They have a friendly staff, excellent dog wash service, and a great selection of quality products. Why not 5 stars? Since their overhead is high, being in Hillcrest, the prices are not cheap or discounted; but they are reasonable and competitive.

Been coming here since they opened. I trust any of the dog foods and treats they carry are of the best quality for my pups. The self wash is also the best set up I've seen in San Diego. Staff is great! Always helpful, knowledgeable & personable. My pups love the staff!

Need to carry wellness, and cat care should not cost the same as dog care.

Not only do I love this place but both my dogs do too! They are very easy to book appointments with. They give great haircuts. And, they are great at customer service. I love living so close that I can walk my dogs over for their haircuts or baths. Your dogs will love this place! Try it!

We have been to multiple groomers and Dirty Dogs Hillcrest is our favorite! We have a 3 year old Saint Bernard (Layla) who is terrified of the groomers. You have to force her in, but the staff there are always patient and kind. We've had different people and I don't have all of their names, but they've all been good. The last time we were there, we had Alan. I added a few additional services on top of the full service bath and he did everything I asked. She looked amazing, which is saying a lot since she's a "big" job.

Wonderful experience. The team took the time to ask the right questions and get to know my dog. The premium grooming was wonderful, my girl came back smelling great, all shiny and with the nicest bandana ! Even the whites on her face got cleaned perfectly ????
