They take care of my two cats and my dog. Very welcoming, compassionate, understating and professional. I love this place for all of my pets needs.

My dog, Maple, needed to see the veterinarian but there were no appointments available the same day. They worked her in between other fur babies so she could be examined. :) Thank you Dr. M & all the great staff for your care.

I think this review is long over due. Although I don’t go here anymore, my parents have been going to Carmel Mt Vet for over 20 years, which really says a lot. Dr. Grey is amazing and knows our family and our pets so well. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and truly cares about animals. As long as my parents stay in San Diego, I know that they will always go there. We love you Dr. Grey and your amazing staff!!

Such a great group of people here. They truly care for the animals with knowledge & grace (i.e.: intelligent care plans with clear information, but no pressure if you can't/ won't afford their recommendations). I've been bringing my pets here for years.

They’re absolutely great when u want to come in and spend a bunch of money, but when you really need help from them that does not involve directly spending money, good luck getting them to help you and be responsive about it, especially when they are busy. I’ve taken my dog there for several years now and the experience I recently had with them is enough to start taking my dog Cupid somewhere else.

My dog has fleas... I have gotten flea medication prescribed from this vet every year since he was born. I went to get a prescription and they refused unless I fork up for an annual check up... first appointment not available for a month! Middle of a pandemic with a house full of fleas, that im stuck with for a month, so they can make a quick $150 bucks to tell me my dog is healthy and now I can get flea medication. Anyone know of a place that cares about pets or humans over a few bucks in the midst of this pandemic? Please leave their number...

Caring, patient, informative. Love them

I have been taking my pets here for the past 20 years. My little girl Maddie receives the best care from everyone here; the entire staff is wonderful. Dr. Grey herself is amazing, warm, and informative - and every one of her nurses share similar characteristics. I've never felt sold up, lied to, etc, like I have with other vets. I've had to go elsewhere due to moves here and there, but I always come back, I drive 30 minutes just to take my dog here now! I highly advise them.

I've been here for six years with a variety of cats and they have been nothing but loving and helpful for pets. Additionally, knowledgeable about solutions and lifestyles of my pets. Dr. Grey has really put up a quality pet business and loved the help they provide.

We've been taking our cockatiels here for several years and have been very satisfied. Not all vets treat birds and Dr. Grey's careful and knowledgeable handling of our little guys and gal puts us very much at ease. She knows what keeps a bird healthy and the proper tests to take if they become ill. Her assisting technicians are superb.

The vets are not only quality doctors they are very caring and loving toward my pets, I have taken my pets here for over a decade! even the front desk staff are very friendly, helpful, and customer service oriented (people and pets!) and the online appointment system is easy to use.

Lovely to see animals taken care of...just wish we could take care of our homeless in a way that brought them to a tiny safe home, a garden, and social workers to help restore them to their families, society, and themselves

Max and Rocky always get such great care and attention from the veterinarians and staff at Carmel Mountain Ranch Veterinary Hospital. They have been coming to the hospital since they were kittens, still are, but giant-sized. :)

This is the one and only veterinary hospital that I can claim has affordable prices. They are always offering different sales and special offers that makes you feel good about taking your pet to the vet. Definitely recommend!

Great Doctor and Staff - compassionate people!

On March 16th I found myself at an emergency 24 hour animal hospital with my puppy vomiting all over the place. The doctors there were suggesting we order blood work, take a pancreatitist test, take xrays, etc without ever offering the Parvo snap test to me. Clearly I was in a panic over my sick puppy and the fact that I wasn't at my regular vet's office, Carmel Mountain Ranch. I decided to call our regular doctor, Dr. Gray. While at the emergency hospital Dr. Gray, Dr. Matsuda and vet assistant Felicia assisted me in my decision making. The first thing they asked was if the emergency hospital had taken the Parvo snap test yet, and I told them they hadn't suggested that test yet. They immediately told me to request the test. The other hospital said they didn't recommend it yet, and my doctors at RCMVH were adamant that they do the test. Thankfully they did because he came back Parvo +! The other hospital was going to have me pay for a whole bunch of unnecessary services first! Unbelieveable! I'm am so grateful for those 3 at RCMVH for assisting me with this emergency matter and always being so RIGHT! I've been going to CMRVH since they took part in saving my cat's life almost 4 years ago. It's like a family over there! Thank you for always being there for my furry babies, even if it's only over speaker phone at another animal hospital! You guys are the reason why my puppy is alive today. Had the Parvo test not been offered to me when it was suggest by your team, I wouldn't have treated him in during the most crucial time of the virus. Thank you Felicia, Dr. Gray and Dr. Matsuda! You guys are absolutely the best!

i went in with my dog suspecting she had diabetes. i had told the doctor this and without doing any tests she just jumps to the conclusion and tells us that we have to put her down and tells us if aren’t willing to, then they will call animal control and take our dog from us. on the day before bringing her in, we go to a much nicer and professional vet and turns out it was not diabetes. i do not recommend this place, they do not truly care about animals.
