I needed a pet travel documents. When I called they told me that the fees including USDA will come out to 280 and I was ok with that. Eventually I received fees of 290 from you plus 121 from USDA. No one told me anything about that extra fees. So overall I paid 411!! My friend called you to ask how much the same process will cost him and you quote him only 270 including USDA. I called back to speak to Alex about that issue and she hang out the phone on me and never called me back. Not to mention that my dog is a service dog and I sent you all the documents about that as well so I shouldn’t pay for USDA because he is a service dog. Very unpleasant and unprofessional to charge different prices to different people!

Dr. Johnson is so loving and kind and has a caring way with animals.

Dr. Johnson and the rest of the staff are great. I brought my 12 year old dog (Chevy) in for tumor removal. Her tumors became so large that they started to have ulcers. Being worried she was too old for surgery (I was told by previous vet she had a 50/50 chance of survival) the staff put me at ease and said almost all patients make it. So I went ahead with the surgery and now she is like a new dog. At 12 she is running again and has energy she hasn’t had in years. Very grateful for them helping extend my pups life.

I called late Friday to see if by chance they could squeeze in my bulldog...small emergency....they did. We have been going to CPH for over 25 yrs. They go above and beyond when able!

Since we moved to Point Loma 10 years ago, we have taken our pets to Cabrillo Pet Hospital for vet services. We have always had amazing service and care from all the staff. Dr. Johnson has been our primary and she is wonderful. I particularly like that I can send her an email and she will respond in a reasonable amount of time. She truly cares about her patients and clients. Another great thing about Cabrillo is that they have a store with supplies, offer doggie day care and pet boarding. We have used all these services and have been very pleased with the care and attention of the staff to our pets. We are very thankful to have Cabrillo Pet Hospital in our neighborhood.

I was looking for a pet hospital almost 2 weeks and finally found the cabrillo pet hospital. I need to get documentations for international traveling and I am so glad I found the cabrillo pet hospital. I contacted several hospitals but they either don't have informations or don't do international traveling supports. I had an appointment and and I really had a great time with them. They were so professional and helpful. I had some questions about my traveling and they gave me advises and answers. I have few more appointments before I travel but I am now comfortably preparing for other things. Thank you again!

My regular vet was unable to see my cat in a sort of emergency situation said it would be a week not workable ;( I called Cabrillo and they took us in within 3 days which helped the suffering of my cat so needless to say I’m now a very satisfied client and the care and kindness of the staff made me comfortable knowing that they will be cared for:) I have since brought 2 more of my animal family to be cared for and it’s been great thanks to everyone at Cabrillo Pet Hospital

Dr. Camarata and the assistants are caring and kind. They are always willing to explain my cats' issues, and the doctor comes up with good solutions. I've called around, and the rates are competitive or lower than other Point Loma vet practices.

My experience with them has been wonderful. I will always recommend them and my dog will never go anywhere else. They are quick to respond, genuinely caring, and help to educate me when I ask questions. Thank you, Cabrillo Pet Hospital!

This was my first time at the hospital and my first time experiencing the curbside service for covid-19. Overall the experience was easy! I made the appointment on PetDesk and was immediately given instructions for the current safety protocol. Everyone I interacted with, on the phone, the tech who checked my cat in and took her inside, and the vet were very helpful, cheerful and friendly. Once I got home I had a question about a vaccine and was able to text the clinic to ask and received a timely response! So much better than waiting on hold for a quick inquiry. I am looking forward to getting to see the inside of the hospital next time my pet needs care! Thanks Cabrillo!

We've been going to Cabrillo Pet Hospital for almost 20 years, and love them! They've taken very good care of our dogs and cat, and they take the time to answer our questions. Our last visit was an emergency because our dog's nail had been partially torn off. We're very grateful that Dr. Rose took her in for the emergency, took great care of her, and sent her home with instructions. Our dog doesn't like going to the vet at all, and they also handled that well! Penny healed well, just like they thought she probably would. We've never been disappointed here.

I went in and the whole experience was wonderful and they took great care of my puppy for the first time!!!! I will definitely be back and will let everyone know that this is the place to take your loved animal!!!❤️????????

Just a horrible experience. My dog has been sick for weeks. Can’t get in for an appointment. When I do they put the dog on some medicines which didn’t work. When I called to let them know it didn’t work, they said I couldn’t get an appointment for more than a week. I brought my dog to the ER and she has an 8” tumor in her spleen. I called again to see if they could see her and figure out how to have the surgery and they told me to call around and see if someone else could do it. I'll never be back and highly recommend going elsewhere.

Cabrillo Pet Hospital is the best vet I've been to in San Diego. There is not a long wait for appointments and the staff is all very kind. They explain things very well, answer phone calls quickly, are great with our cat, and are on top of everything. Love this place.

For the last 10 years I have been taking my dog to Cabrillo Pet Hospital for health and wellness treatments. In addition, Cabrillo Pet Hospital's Boarding Kennel has been his home away from home. I travel a lot and he is always welcome. The Cabrillo Vet Team is made up of caring, professionals that only want to do the right thing for me and my baby dog!

Following the recommendation of a friend we went to Cabrillo Pet Hospital and will not be going to any other animal hospital or veterinary practice so long as we live in San Diego. Over the years we've tried several, both corporate and local, with no success at treating our "spicy" cats with minimal stress to both felines and their human parents. We went from an initial introduction to making difficult decisions with Cabrillo Pet Hospital in a matter of hours due to our specific situation. I cannot understate the amount of compassion and patience we felt from each and every member of their team. They shared they treat each pet as their own and I truly felt that as we navigated our path. The needs of our feline were put ahead of any air of convenience in getting to the next. If you are struggling to find a place you are confident in taking your animals for care to, please strongly consider going to Cabrillo Pet Hospital.

Live in the Wooded Area just down the street and have brought our 2 animals here for years, also purchase all their food in the store downstairs. Went in to make a routine purchase of flea medication this morning and the women at the front desk were sadly just objectively rude. Not sure what the deal was, everyone has bad days, but the interaction could not have been more unprofessional. In addition, they would only sell me a month's worth of flea medication on account of the fact that our dog had not been in for an exam in the last year, yet failed to take in to account that COVID made in-person visits challenging to say the least. Seems if the health and wellness of the pet/patient is of upmost concern then it would be better policy to simply sell me the 6-months of flea medication during the height of flea season to ensure my dog is comfortable/protected then kindly request I schedule an exam visit, which I happily would have done. At the end of the day there are too many other options for pet care in San Diego available, so we'll happily drive an extra 15 minutes and forego anymore poor experiences at Cabrillo.

Cabrillo is the best! It's impossible to improve on perfection.

We have taken our dog and our cat to Cabrillo Pet Hospital since 2007. Dr. Cammarata is our vet, a graduate of Cornell. He was able to diagnose my dog when he first came as having something found only in Florida, from having done an internship there. No one at our previous vet could identify it. Cabrillo Pet Hospital is the only veterinary hospital in San Diego that's accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. It's brand new facility with state-of-the-art equipment was built by principal Gary Rose, DVM. Since he retired recently, it's now under the ownership of the veterinarians who work there, which says a lot to me about pride in what they do and that it's owned and run by its employees. From the staff to the vets, it is full of knowledgeable, compassionate people. They don't try to upsell you. They are market rate, and not discount, but competitive with other Point Loma area vets. They're open on Saturdays, in addition to weekdays. You can reach them any time by email. They offer alternative medicine and acupuncture, as well.

We have a frenchton pup that is going to be 7 months old when we leave for vacation for a month. She is being taken care of by family but we were worried about her going into heat while we were gone. Our regular vet couldn't fit us in and we called Cabrillo. They were able to get us in before we left which was a huge relief. We will taking all our puppy needs to Cabrillo in the future! The staff and service was amazing!

Truly a 5 star experience. I struggled just to find a decent vet, all the vets in my area were booked out for a few months due to covid. Luckily I came across Cabrillo pet hospital and they GENUINELY wanted to help my pet out and I am very thankful for that. I came to bring my pet for a check up, and they were so attentive and so nice. If I could I would leave a A+ rating on here. You seriously can't go wrong and you WILL love bringing your pet here :).

I recently had a fall and could not bathe my Westie. They were able to work me in and treated my guy well. He was clean and calm when we picked him up. The office was clean and professional. The gals were kind and affectionate towards my pooch. Thank you for rescuing Tucker from his “camping coat”.

I almost always have a very positive experience at this vet. They remember my pet and are very good at checking up on everything. I also appreciate the efforts they have made to keep everyone safe during the pandemic. I highly recommend this vet and will continue to go to them as long as I live in SD County (even if there are closer pet hospitals to my current home).

This has been an amazing experience for my dog Archie! We are a military family and have been moving around a lot and we have been so fortunate to find this incredible vet!! Thank you so much for taking care of my dog!! We will 100% be returning!

Do not go here. I’ve posted 2 reviews and they keep being removed. Dr. Rose is the worst (the rest of the staff is very kind, but he’s their leader). Avoid if you care about your pet.

I had three pups cared for by Cabrillo for over ten years, all received great care and compassion.
