Well I do love this place for bird related shopping. The main lady (forgot her name!) is very nice and very knowledgeable. I did have to knock one star off and here is why I bought a lovebird from here over a year ago and when I purchased it I got a blood test to verify the gender. They told me my bird was a boy. Over the months I noticed it was displaying female behavior so I reached out to verify and a 2nd lady (also nice) said she was very knowledgeable in lovebirds and she was sure it was a boy. Ok cool. Fast forward a little over a year and there are eggs all over my bird's cage! Now for me it isn't a huge deal. But I did pay for the test (wasnt overly expensive) and I could see how a bad test could create a bad situation for someone who has multiple birds. So I just want to put that out there.

Love the educational aspect! Amazingly raised birds, they know what they’re doing for sure. I’ve bought four birds from them and it’s been such a great experience for every one.

They never open on time

Was there for 15 minutes, no one offered any help. The only person that spoke to me was a lady feeding the birds lettuce, and when she did it was condescending after I asked about the greenwing. Overall, the cages were dirty, but not too bad. Of the small selection of parrots, most showed signs of plucking or barbing, and all needed baths. IMHO, they should take a little better care of their birds.

Like to go there to clip our birds wings. Always interesting to see the different birds.

I went to Birdsmart today to check them out. I was very pleased with Kara and other workers there. I went in to check on parakeets and was very pleased with the selection of birds. They told me that they raise and trained the babies which most bird stores don't do. The bird supplies were plentiful. I will be back soon to get our new trained bird.

All about BIRDS Small, intimate, I was surprised at the the large inventory. Super knowledgeable staff. FYI, the largest, clearest talking bird I have ever heard... "Hello Cabo." Taking my parolet in for nails and beak. Great toys!

Went here recently to buy a cockatiel and I’m really happy to have found this place! The owner was so helpful in helping me find the right bird, along with picking cages, and any other advice for bird care! Thank you again, will be coming back weekly to see how the birds are doing! ♥️

Very nice people and like to educate customers

I loved this place because of the great selection of birds and I absolutely love how they treat their birds. From little babies they hand feed and teach them. Great atmosphere

Zebra finches from there have really made our lives better. Not all birds are super loud or high maintenance.

San Diego has only 1 good choice for exotic birds. Typically hand fed and very sweet family pets. We got our Painted Conures and White belly Caique there!

Unfortunately, I went to this store today and had a bad experience with an employee as soon as I walked in. I felt unwelcomed and rejected. As a potential customer, I would not spend my money here as a result of this experience. I love business and I love animals, two things I'm extremely passionate about. To the owners and employees: I understand times are hard right now but please treat your customers with respect. (I gave two stars versus one star because the last time I visited another employee made me feel welcomed and appreciated from the moment I walked in. That other star is for her)

Smaller than when they were Bird Crazy with limited supply. But the employees were friendly and willing to assist you. Bird seeds are plenty but the bird selection to buy is limited to smaller birds. No medium or large sized parrots were available to buy.

I love this place, I bought a baby lovebird like around 2,3 months ago really great service, I really recommend you to buy a baby bird there !
