Nothing could have made our experience any better, as always, as with every dog we've had and brought to Animal Dermatology, Kirby's treatment was exceptional. He was treated with love and made to feel special, and my husband and I were kept informed and educated regarding his diagnosis and treatment. We appreciate the professionalism, the genuine caring for us and our baby, and the expert knowledge Dr. Blessing and the rest of the staff use to treat each and every patient.

The team at the Animal Dermatology Clinic has been a critical partner of ours in helping Sydney navigate a wide variety of food and environmental allergy scenarios. I’ve never had a vet group take so much time to answer my questions and be responsive to my concerns. Dr Kalosy specifically is always available to address questions and provide balanced advice, even between appointments. I am thankful we found them when Sydney was struggling so much with his allergies. As they will tell you, allergies don’t just disappear, it is a process of treatments and learning what impacts your dog, so educating yourself and finding ways to manage them are critical and the team at the dermatology clinic have been there for us. I’ve recommended many friends there that have similar struggles. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a competent and friendly partner in your challenging battle against skin allergies impacting your best friend.

Best care for any animals having skin care issues! Do not waste your efforts if you can’t resolve it with your primary. Only a vet dermatologist specialist would know how to do specialized diagnostics for their skin care. It’s saves your animals from suffering and allows them to heal. Highly recommend Animal Dermatology Clinics- they have several locations. Dr Boord and Dr Angus are great!

Did a great job figuring out Loki’s allergies and helping him get better.

My little pup Jiminy had a terrible anaphylactic reaction to bee stings. Dr Boord and her team was very thorough in talking me through testing and treatment options and took great care of my pup! He can be difficult at the vet and he came home happy and I can now rest easily with his reactions. Absolutely wonderful!

I was referred to the Animal Dermatology Clinic for my dog, Hugh Hefner who developed severe skin issues. I found the staff both friendly and professional as the vet quickly and accurately diagnosed my dog's complicated skin issues. She prescribed a treatment plan and followed up with us to see how he was improving. The vet called back herself despite her busy schedule to ensure my questions had been answered and to see if I had anymore questions. It was difficult to get an appointment here because of the demand for specialists but they have a waitlist and we were able to get in much sooner than originally anticipated. I highly recommend the Animal Dermatology Clinic.

Thank you to the Staff and Dr. Boord at VCA Dermatology clinic in Kearney Mesa. My dog has been suffering with an autoimmune disease in which his toenails or claws detach since the beginning of the year. He has to be on several meds and supplements twice a day. There is no cure! I was able to come into the facility with my dog for the visit, face to face. Dr. Boord is familiar with SLO and in fact, she had a dog with this also. She did a thorough exam, explained all about his issues and went over all our options with cost estimates. Her Staff made me aware of all the costs. Dr. Boord did an extensive nail trim on him, MUCH different than what a groomer does. This has helped make him more comfortable. We were satisfied in having all our questions answered. I am so pleased with the visit, I would and already have, recommended them to other pet parents. My highest regard for this practice. They are professional, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Rip off artist in price and you cant even get an appointment for months.

EDIT: was a 5 star review originally. Dr Parnell is kind and helpful. But the rest of the staff, not so much. Every time I have gone here they try to DOUBLE charge me.They’re claiming they “lost” my $1500 payment. The second time I was there they had me pay on the app, said it didn’t go through when it clearly said “paid” and tried to swipe my card again. Don’t fall for their SCAMS. They have sent me home with the wrong vial of liquid that I am supposed to INJECT into my dog. Now I have to find a new place to take my dog in the middle of her allergy treatment. Just avoid this place to begin with.

We saw Dr. Blessing for our little maltipoo, Brie. Recommendations were for a strict limited diet of one food only. We were skeptical. But Brie loved the new food beyond belief. Her skin is showing improvement, and she has new energy. Dr. Blessing is indeed a blessing of a vet!

The doctor did an amazing job adjusting to the needs of my senior dog (she hates to be picked up, so the doc sat with her on the floor until she was more comfortable). I could not be more pleased with the really nice after procedure write-up, and a call from the doctor with the results. All in all, fantastic!

It was so sad for us when our 4 legged baby couldn’t hear us anymore. After years of vet visits and medications for persistent and worsening ear infections, finally my otherwise healthy, going-strong 14 year old mini poodle can hear again! I am so elated and fighting back tears of regret that I didn’t seek out Animal Dermatology years ago. You may think the procedure and care is not cheap but if I added the years of vet bills, medications and heartache- their charges are a bargain. I feel confident they do things right and considering how much we love our sweet gift from heaven, I wouldn’t want it any other way. Dr. Brood and the team communicated well with me and broke down the care, charges and choices so my decision making was easy. Dr Boord at the Animal Dermatology Clinic is the best! Not only did she diagnose my dog's severe itchiness and allergies when he was young, but she has been a lifesaver as he has grown older and had some other skin issues. Dr Boord always takes the time to explain all of my questions, and I leave each appointment with detailed instructions. Their staff is really great too, always courteous and informative. Highly recommend!!

After spending thousand of dollars trying to figure out was wrong with my dog allergy wise we found Animal Dermatology. Within the first 2 days my pups allergies/scratching subsided. Fought hard to get the recommended local Flea and Tick per our appt at SD Dermatology Clinic in San Diego. After a prescription confirmation from the website Chewy from our doctor, they sent over a $56 chewable good for 3 months. He threw it up everywhere and now I have to steam clean the carpet and multiple other areas both inside and outside and then pay another $56 bucks to have it happen again?
