Greywood Kennels Lakeside, California

I was so nervous when I due to a family emergency had to find a boarding place for 3 weeks for our 5 month old puppy. I visited several places before I found Greywood Kennels. Greywood Kennels is a smaller family own kennel and I got a good feeling of the place right away. The owners and staff are super nice and treat the pets like they are their own. The dogs are not just all thrown together like they do at many boarding facilities, but they are sure to personalize every dog’s needs. Dogs get the playtime they need with dogs they get along with. They understand the owners concerns as well and Sheila sent me pictures, videos and updates of our puppy throughout the stay. I was so glad to pick up a happy, clean and well cared for puppy after the stay. It was easy to see that she had got the socialization she needed at that young age, a lot of love, playtime with the staff as well as with other dogs. I can’t thank them enough and I’m so happy to have found a kennel that I can trust to take care of our puppy also in the future.

I love this kennel and the owner. I will continue to take any pet I ever have to this establishment. All of the staff are awesome and I know that my dog is taken care of and treated well. Thank you to all for caring for my Mocha.

This is the only kennel I will take my dog now. Price is very reasonable and the dog care is well above average. Do yourself and your dog a favor, if you need to board your dogs so it here.

My GSD really loves going here for a bath and is never in a hurry to leave.

Our dog "JB" has stayed at Greywood Kennels for the past 13 years . He is always excited when we arrive and eagerly heads straight in so that he can have fun with all the other dogs out back. The staff has always been very affectionate with JB and would give us updates (even send a text pix) when we would call while away on many an extended vacation trip. We come from North county and it's definitely worth the drive knowing that our JB is enjoying himself. He is well fed and hydrated when we pick him up from Greywood (not so much at other kennels). One of the best things about Greywood is that all the dogs have a big yard to play in all day with tunnel fun and a kiddie plastic pool to splash in and out of. It is so much better for our pets to run around a yard and exercise, rather than being locked up all day. Greywood also has sections for smaller pets or for those pets who prefer less enthusiastic play. Not to mention- JB always looks and smells great when we sign him up for a bath before pickup :) The manager does a great job at recognizing all the pets needs.

It's hard enough leaving my little one behind, but I feel much better knowing that they take such good care of her. I had her bathed and nails clipped when she was last boarded and I was thrilled with the results.

My dogs had a great time here. Will definitely use them again!

I believe that my dogs enjoyed it ☺ the owners are very warm and friendly. The staff is completely hands on and I think I found our new go to dog sitting. ????????

Our dogs Roscoe and Chico love staying at Greywood. Our hound dog is anxious and can be a handful but they take great care of him. We've been taking our dogs there for years and have also used their grooming services, everybody is friendly and loves the animals. Definitely a place you can feel comfortable leaving your pets when you have to be away. ????????????

This place is awesome!! You can really tell Sheila’s passion with animals. I love how it’s a family run business and not a big Op. They really show how much they care. I would not take “Roxy”anywhere Else!

Our 5 month old puppy had a fun overnight boarding here! Sheila and Ray took special care of him as he was at first frightened to leave my side. They take pride in their facility and the care they take of their animals, and the amenities are amazing! You won't be sorry when you contact them for boarding or day care!

Took great care of my pup! Matched him up with other high energy dogs and kept him busy! Also took videos to show me how much fun he was having. I will definitely be bringing him back!

Dexter comes here all the time. They know how to handle dogs nd they show so much love and compassion to my dog Dexter. I wont take him anywhere else anymore as the level of service and the smiles that Greywood puts on my face cant be bought with money. They are a pleasure to have in my community and most importantly, MY DOG DEXTER LOVES IT HERE!

I used this kennel on a recommendation from my neighbor, so glad I did as the staff asked a lot of questions about my dogs and genuinely seemed to want to get to know them verses the "just another dog" attitude I received from a previous kennel. When I picked up my dogs they were clean, happy and tired, would definitely use them again!!!!!

My dogs must really like this kennel, I can tell by how happy they are when I drop them off! I would recommend Greywood to anyone looking for an awesome kennel...

We’ve taken our Fur Baby there since she was 6 months old, she’s almost 6 years old now, for both daycare and boarding-we love both the facility and the staff. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great place very caring and loving people

We have recently begun using this kennel after a negative experience with another dog boarding place. The staff is friendly and understands my dogs “special needs”. She comes home happy and clean. They really go the extra mile to care for my diabetic dog. Including giving shots at mealtime with no extra cost. While dropping off my dog, I was able to talk to other dog owners who were going on an extended vacation and they spoke positively about this kennel,

There are just not enough good words to say about this kennel. All you have to do is watch my two dogs go absolutely bonkers when we drive up to the front door and see how excited they get when they go inside. The care and attention they give to their canine boarders is just amazing. Their prices are lower than most, but I’d pay their going rate no matter what the cost because the love and care they have given my dogs along with the other pets there is simply PRICELESS…. You can’t put a price tag on that. I commend the new owners and want them to know how comforting it is to know that when I’m out of town, my two dogs are getting the best of care with the wonderful folks at Greywood Kennels. This is the kennel is amazing! We’ve been using Greywood for years and now with new owners it’s even better! It’s family run and they’ve made a lot of improvements inside for the pets. We drive out of the way just to use them. Their prices are excellent! So many places charge more and care less. In addition, to being a great kennel they really care about your pet like an extension of your family. Recently, while out of state on vacation our beloved lab became fatally sick. He was almost 16 years old and he had difficulty breathing and his back legs just couldn’t support him. He was having accidents and couldn’t even get up to eat (which was a tell tale sign). They took him to the vet on a Sunday and the doctor couldn’t help him. The toughest decision we had to make was to put him out of his suffering. Sheila, the owner, never left his side! We’d FaceTime and talk to him at all hours. It wasn’t until midnight when she finally headed home. She was amazing and supportive and went above and beyond. We loved this kennel before. Now they’re our heros and made a horrible time in our lives more manageable by taking the best care of our dog! It was like having family watch him. Thank you to Greywood Kennels!

Definitely happy with my experience here!! My pupper Luke, a 6 year old fluffy as can be Saint Bernard, I feel had a better vacation than I did! The staff are all super friendly and you can definitely tell they really care for their animals. The big guy is normally pretty skiddish around strangers but he was so perky by the time I got him. Definitely shows he really enjoyed being out at the kennel and making new friends with the staff! When I go out of town next, I think he'll be pretty content going back to visit Greywood!
