Although I have never used Banfield Pet Hospital I know a few people who have and have said good things. I didnt even know they were at the Pet Smart Store off aero drive. I have heard they are less expensive then most of the Vet clinics around. If I had known this I probably would have come here than my alternative choice.

I have a wellness plan for my Weimaraner Gianna. In the year I've had her we have had to have surgery to remove a foreign object and 3 wellness checks to keep her up to date on important vaccinations and heart health. With the plan I have easily saved over 5000 dollars of vet bills. They only lose a star because it is possible to book an appointment on their app, and they always try to recommend using it. But other than that we are satisfied and happy with the vets and techs at our banfields in San Diego.

Pet loving people taking care of your pets as if they were their own. What could be better than that? I bring my babies here for that reason and many more.???? ????

I used this Banfield many years ago with a dog and had problems with it, but since that was 15 years ago, I thought I'd give them another shot. Yeah. My experience has been mixed. First of all, it's sometimes literally IMPOSSIBLE to call and talk to someone. One of the receptionists is kind of rude, but ok. Then there was the day I had an appointment and they called me to switch locations for...reasons??? In any case, I've always always brought my kitten in here in a leash and harness. Every time the receptionists would coo and pet my cat as he sat with me. Today an old woman in line insists I crate my cat because she's "afraid of cats". I've been bitten multiple times, once on the face requiring stitches by ankle biting little dogs like hers, but my cat is an issue? Then this receptionist I don't recognize decides my cat is a problem and wants to see if her manager is ok with my cat not being crated. Again...this is suddenly an issue????? If this is a rule, apply it consistently from day 1. Between this, lack of communication, difficulty making appointments etc...I would *Not* recommend this location. The Veterinary office is supposed to be a professional place. Get your ish together!!!

Overpriced, constantly want your money for no reason, a scam I'd I might say so myself I went to a new vet and payed less than I ever would at banfield

Even with insurance you will typically pay an additional $50-100 dollars per visit even if it is covered by insurance. The vets NEVER review lab work and that’s when you request it too. The vet continues to approve flea and tick treatments without considering the pet’s current status i.e. weight. The weight limit is identified on the product for a reason. My pet is religiously approved for 9.9-22lbs and he weighs close to 30lbs. They don’t care about your fur family. They ONLY care about the money. Please save yourself and your fur family the money and malpractice/negligence.

I experienced a really bad service and I felt they were only after the money instead of giving the proper attention to our pet.

I should be able to make any changes to my wellness plan via the website or by calling customer service. I was just informed that in order to upgrade my wellness plan I would have to go to the nearby hospital. This would require me to be exposed to COVID-19 during a pandemic in a state with out of control numbers. I should not have to put my life at risk in order to make an upgrade to my pet plan.

Let's right this ship. I (Mark), and my wife (Anne), have never witnessed nor talked face to face with anyone who has had anything less than a good experience with Banfield on Murphy Canyon Rd. That said, you may have. But, I do not recognize your face so it is of no sway. We have been going to this location for years and are very pleased. We do not hesitate to refer others to this location. We had and do have Banfield Insurance currently and know enough to put it on our calendar to cancel if we see fit. A shout out to Dr. Karmi, all the Veterinarians, and Staff for their attentiveness, skill, and compassion with OUR kids. If I cannot reach them by phone, I leave a message because I assume that they are very popular and in great demand. Many other reviews seem to trumpet our sentiment. THANKS TO ALL AT BANFIELD.

“Vet gave my Bulldog a catheter, IV and pain pills for a head tremor which is the most common hereditary issue in Bulldogs.” The first time it happened we took Winston to Banfield and they told us that the head shaking is very common with the breed. Now Banfield staff admitted that they did not review entire record before making the call to stick a tube into his body cavity. To make it worse, they made us pay for our treatment. Please do not take your animal here. If they hurt them, you signed a release. Period. We have reported this local Banfield to the Better Business Bureau as well.

I wish they could have done a xray to see what the issue is rather than talk about money, I understand they can't but at least provide a way I could get my little buddy better with out surgery even recommending surgery after not taking axray makes me wonder how were they trying get my business.
