Two happy puppers hopefully getting cleared for their Hawaii flight in two weeks! Amici has been SO helpful and informative about the process. Great staff and attention to detail when planning for our move.

I took my dog Benji in without an appointment for an injury he had. The staff was very supportive and still treated him. They were very kind and understanding. Thanks ladys had to leave a review, for the great customer service. Also thanks for calling and following up to check on Benji to see how he was doing.

This place is the BEST! They are all so nice and kind with pets, and have reasonable prices.

I took my dog here while I lived in San Diego. They were great. Easy to work with, great customer service, took good care of my dog (we didn’t have any major medical issues during that time), the pricing seemed fair, I liked every employee I met- vets, techs, reception. Even though we didn’t see the same vet every time (pretty sure you can request a specific vet but I didn’t) I always felt they were up to date with my dog and familiar with her record during her visits. I would definitely go back if in San Diego again. One thing to keep in mind is that they don’t offer after hours support and to have information for one of the emergency vets in the area.

I cannot give this pet hospital enough stars. They absolutely need at least 100. The entire staff, and our wonderful doctor took so much care and time to explain options on how to fix my dogs skin and ear issues. Now, two weeks later my almost 10-year-old dog is acting like a 1-year-old puppy. I am so grateful to everyone who works here and having to get a vet visit during quarantine was no issue at all and handled perfectly. We will be coming back here for every need for all of my pet's health.

Always an over the top experience here. After vax and a thorough exam our nurse Melissa told me I was doing an amazing job caring for my pup Trigger. I would easily pay extra to hear this every time. Owner care = patient care ❤

My anxiety has been out the roof this week. My dog, Angel, has chronic bronchitis and recently diagnosed with a lung infection. Dr Haze was very accommodating and informative and even called back to check in on Angel after a few days. Unfortunately, I missed her call because I was at work but was able to call back within the hour and provided updates on Angel to the receptionist. Dr Haze called back, but again, I was at work so I was unable to answer. She left a voicemail saying Angel may need to start using a bronchodilator. The antibiotics and hydrocodone prescribed to her were not very effective so anything new was relieving to me. The next week I called back Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday- no response back from Dr. Haze. Each day I was told they’d put a RED POST-IT note as if it were an urgent message. On Friday I found out they actually have an URGENT box for immediate responses and none of my messages appeared to be urgent to these receptionist although my dog has trouble BREATHING. So I was either ignored or my dogs trouble breathing wasn’t important enough to Dr. Haze for a 5 minute phone call. Monday- Thursday I made sure to call with a very polite tone because I know working with angry customers just make things awkward. But By Friday, a whole week later, I had enough. I demanded I speak to Dr Haze but she had the day off. They somehow gave me a written prescriptions for me to pick up a bronchodilator at a pharmacy but I called 5 pharmacies and even checked chewy.com and that dosage was no where to be found. Turns out they had to recalculate the dosage because the one they originally gave me was wrong. The receptionist offered to call pharmacies for me and almost gave up until I asked her to just call Costco for me. Luckily Costco had it. I asked for Angels records so I can take Her elsewhere... didn’t receive it via email yet. I asked again. Still no email of her records. Sounds to me they either want to keep me at Amici (yet ignore my calls) or just let Angel suffer with coughs and breathing issues. It’s been a week and a half since Dr. Haze’s voicemail and I STILL haven’t heard back from her to check in on Angel. And two whole weeks since I actually spoke to Dr. Haze. I am disappointed in this Pet Hospital as I chose this place for their great reviews and I’ve also never had to encounter communication issues with this Hospital before. A few questions I ask this Hospital- why is my senior dog being neglected? How effective is the communication from receptionist to doctor? Why won’t you release my dogs records to me? (It’s illegal)

Brand new to San Diego and we set up an appointment at Amici for our elder dog. They couldn't get us in for 14'ish days, but not a big deal. Actual appointment was on-time and efficient, but things degraded AFTER our appointment when we attempted to schedule a teeth cleaning for our dog. We called 3x over 10 days, each time we were told a surgical scheduler would call us back. On the same day I tried to call the doctor directly to let her know of the situation, the surgical scheduler called back. I told her that her lack of responsiveness forced us to find another vet already. She thanked me for letter her know, but no apologies, no attempt to get the business back, no real customer service. Unfortunate this was our experience as new patients.

Bar far the most responsive, caring, and attentive veterinary office we have ever been to. The front staff is extremely knowledgeable and flexible, and the vets are fantastic! They are very on top of their reminders, too which helps me. Very happy here

Another amazing experience at Amici Pet Hospital!! They make my scaredy pup feel so comfortable, they explain everything clearly, answer all my questions, greet me with a smile and always follow up to see how Bailey is doing. We moved to Oceanside and still make the drive. We love, love, love them! It’s so nice to know you have a vet that is not only competent but really cares about your pet. We love you guys! Thanks so much! And keep up the great work!

Dr. Allen is AMAZING and I love this vet soooo so much! My Pomeranian broke his leg and they were so helpful throughout the process. And, their front desk people know how to make you feel right at home. :) And their techs are always very knowledgeable and friendly.

Although the staff all seem friendly, it never comes across as genuine. (Think...stepford-wife meets a vet.) Be prepared to always fend off the "upsell". It definitely feels like they care more about making money and not about your pet. I stuck it out for a year to give them a shot. Everyone has off-days and I wanted to make sure I was giving them a fair shake. I'm glad other people had positive experiences and I'm not knocking that. By all means, go where you feel comfortable. We're just not happy with their services.

Dr. Allen and all of the techs are wonderful! I have two pups that love everyone in the office. They are always friendly and you can tell they have a lot of love for animals. It's a bit pricey, but that could just be the difference in pet care that I have seen since moving to California from Alabama. I tried a few other places before deciding on Amici and it was the perfect choice. I have a nine year old pup, as well as a three year old, and they treat them based on their age and history, not just generic findings. Amici also gives you estimates of the cost of certain treatments and lets you choose before proceeding. This is wonderful and they make sure they support and recommend the perfect treatment for your pet.

The drs and staff here are top notch; they cared for my pup like if she was their own. The vets and techs are super helpful and caring, they followed up on my pup's condition and made accommodations to get her seen asap. Puppy care is expensive, however they were also totally upfront and fair about the expected pricing. Can't thank them enough for helping us!

I took my dog to Amici for an emergency visit for what turned out to be an Addison's crisis after she was diagnosed, the staff and vet were very friendly and fast to take care of my dog. The facility is clean and bright and happy, and the parking lot is extremely convenient, especially in an emergency. I have been recommending them to friends!
