So far so good. Staff friendly. Prices not outrageous and Vets are nice and informative.

Scam artists. My husband went here. They gave him $350 of ointments. I went in and left with a bill of $550 in blood work. Workers slip in and out of the door so you can’t see into their treatment room.

Professional and Caring. Gave me more time with my 13 yr old GSD and when it was finally time handled the situation with love and patience.

Took my dog in last week for an allergic reaction that he gets 2-3 a year, gave all the vet info and past med info that has helped. Doctor (nice guy) insisted on an ointment which is not only incredibly messy but it didn't work. I'm calling today to see if he can just prescribe an antibiotic or something oral that will help all over (like in the past) instead of buying 5 products for each individual area, and he is wanting me to bring him back in, get another injection, buy a shampoo, a spray, basically he can prescribe and give anything except for the one thing really needed. I can't shampoo by dog twice a day and put a sticky ointment on him twice a day everywhere as well. Very upsetting. Now I have to go take him to another vet. I'm definitely not paying the same one twice, clearly it didn't help. Should have gone with my first instinct. When I called to make the appointment I didn't have the greatest experience with the receptionist. Didn't make the appointment at first but called back because they are so close and had an immediate opening. Save yourselves and pets the trouble.

I had to visit this vet multiple times due to my cat being ill. They were kind and compassionate. From the diagnosis to the very end. Even sent me a beautiful card the office signed to express condolences. I received a beautiful memorial box and a paw imprint in clay which I was not expecting. I would highly recommend this vet. The prices are very fair with quality care. Thank you Pico Vet. I appreciate your kindness Pretty was a very special kitty to us.

Absolutely horrible customer service! STAY AWAY! We made an appointment at 5 PM on a Friday for the 10 AM the next morning, Saturday. We called the next morning to see if we could move our appointment to an earlier time slot. At that time, we were told that the Vet was not in that day and that we "should have received a call, check your voicemail". No, we did not receive a call, we told them. To which the woman responds, "Well, did you make your appointment over the phone with a person?". No lady, we made it with your non-existent virtual appointment scheduler.... The appropriate response and tone would have been to apologize for the inconvenience and to recommend us to another vet in the area, not to imply that this was somehow the fault of the patient. Literally, I am shocked at how rude and unprofessional this woman was. I feel bad for the Vet/Owner of this place because she is losing him business and $$. I am not sure of her name, but she was working the morning of 5/8/21 and it was not Natalie.

Great vets love my three pets two dogs one cat . One dog 20 and new rescue 1 yr and cat 19 yrs of age . I have pet Ins on snr dog and find appts always readily given and properly cared for especially good dental cleaning , is the best in 20 tea . Highly recommend Dr Amir two brothers both awesome . Appts easy to get as often as needed with plan no charge. No waiting either always timely

Always remembers my puppies name even when I haven't been in a while! The whole staff is very nice and has no problem helping anytime.

I recently fostered a puppy who needed antibiotics and this is the vet the rescue sent me to. We were missing some information, so getting the prescription was very confusing but Pico Vet went above and beyond to track down the informing and get the medicine I needed. They were very kind and accommodating even though it was so close to closing time.

These people were so rude to us. The doctor came out within two minutes of our pup going in. Seemingly fast right? If he really took the time to evaluate and look at her! When he came out again, he barely told us anything about our pup. We asked specific questions about our pup because we had just recently got her from a rescue, and were met with extremely vague (and INACCURATE ) answers. It was absolutely clear that the doctor didn’t care too much, brushing us off and talking down on us. Maybe we were just taking too much time out of his precious day! The nurses also gave the worst attitude! Treated our dog like a nuisance when bringing her in. Now, naturally our pup is super scared of new people and doesn’t like to go into new places, which is understandable considering she was abused before being rescued, but they didn’t seem to care about THAT at all. We gave all the information we knew about her, hoping it would help the doctors evaluate her, but they didn’t care AT ALL! They just dragged her in!!! Horrible service, and extremely unprofessional doctors working here. Never coming to this place again.

I have been going to this vet for over a year. They are always so kind and conscientious of your pocket book. Last week I had to put me dog to sleep and they were amazing through the whole process! You will not find a better vet in San Clemente!

They care for my pets and are very reasonably priced.

Our rescue pup couldn't walk and needed surgery. Pico Veterinary Clinic was kind, understanding, thoughtful, patient, and provided us top notch service. They charged us reasonable rates and held our hand through the entire process. We would give them 6 stars if we could. Our dog runs and plays happily with our kids and other pets now! I love this vet , someone referred me to this place. My Rosie broke her leg and I had to take her to the emergency vet, because of course it was after hours. Well VCA told me she has a heart murmur that is a 5 out of 6 & that she has to see a cardiologist and she has to have surgery otherwise she'll lose her leg and the surgery is going to cost 6,000 dollars. But this wonderful vet said no she can heal on her and her heart murmur is only a 3 maybe a 4 and that's a big maybe. So this great vet is giving my baby a chance to heal on her own

TLDR: Excellent service and care at an affordable price. I am very thankful for the staff of the Pico Veterinary Clinic being so accommodating to me and my family. I had called several clinics in a desperate attempt to schedule an euthanasia appointment for my dog, Minidog, and only the Pico Veterinary Clinic were ready and willing to see Minidog on such short notice. They said they could squeeze us in at 3:00 pm. I wasn't aware at the time, but that was their closing time! They were ready and willing to stay late to see us! Anyways, I ended up calling around 2:00 PM to postpone the appointment because my father still hadn't fully come to terms with Minidog's condition and wanted to wait one more day. I called early the next morning and was able to schedule an appointment within the next hour. I am very appreciative of how accommodating and patient they were to us. During our visit they asked if we needed a few minutes to say goodbye. Thy gave us our privacy, and my fiancé and I took 10 minutes before we knocked on the door to tell them we were ready. After the procedure, they gave us our privacy to grieve and say one final goodbye to our beloved pet (we took 5-10 minutes before seeing ourselves out of the room). They also took the time to write a very touching card and mailed it to us :) I only visited the one time, but the kind and respectful nature of the staff and vet really speaks volumes. I definitely see myself returning in the future.
