Northridge Veterinary Hospital Salinas, California

I was gassing my car and witnessed a dog being hit by another car on the street today and the driver not stopping. I grabbed the dog off the road, put him in my car and took him to the closest pet hospital which was Banfield Pet Hospital 500yrds down the road from here. I went in and explained what had happened and that the dog appeared to have a broken back and was bleeding from his eyes and mouth and asked for help. The first response from the receptionist at Banfield was “its going to be expensive”. I managed to bite my tongue with that and asked her to just get a doctor. She came back saying the doctor was too busy and couldnt help. Another customer pointed out that there was a another vet just down the road (Northridge Veterinary Hospital) so I went there and they immediately stopped what they were doing, helped me carry the dog from my car and put the poor guy out of his misery. No mention of money or anything else they just wanted to help an animal in pain unlike the completely heartless and frankly disgusting staff at Banfield. If I was choosing somewhere to care for my pet it certainly wouldnt be Banfield as they clearly have zero empathy for sick animals and are only motivated by money. Meanwhile there is a very caring and professIonal facility just 500yrds down the road in Northridge Veterinary Hospital! Thank you so much for your empathy and help!

Very nice staff and veterinarians, I was looking for new vet. My cat doesn't like vets and I feel really bad for the vet and staff that have to deal with my cat's "leave me alone fighting attitude". But she has medical issues. Dr Clark has been very patience with her and has helped her with medical issues. Thank you so much Dr Clark for helping her.

Staff/Nurses I like - the two stars are entirely for them. But the doctor seemed reluctant to do anything about the reason we brought our pet in, which will likely have long term health consequences if the doctor isn't correct. Maybe he was overbooked, or maybe just tired. But it was a waste of time for us to come in. Sent us away with a "keep an eye on it and bring it back if it gets worse". We'll find someone else.

I love the docs there. They are so friendly. And they take good care of Grady's needs. And the Nurces are great as well

The worst vet. Total scam. Brought my puppy in for his first visit and never even spoke with the vet. They kept trying to upsell me on the “puppy package” but I declined because of the unprofessionalism of this office. Didn’t answer any of my questions and left without any medical advice from “vet”. Also, the vet tech manhandled my dog and snatched him by his neck.

The wait was about 45 minutes but I understand that they were busy. The staff was very understanding of my grief and they accommodated me in allowing me to be present as they put my cat to sleep. They respected him in his final moments.

Came here thrice for my Dog travel vaccinations, they did the blood test and asked me to Ship to Kansas for Traveling Pets blood test. Doctor knows and the staff knows that I let doctor know that I have to travel in 3 weeks. It’s been more than 4 weeks haven’t heard from them I did email the doctor but still no response. I paid 159 bucks for a blood test and never got the results. I would love to get a reply by any of the staff members.

Perfect service my dog is doing very well would not go anywhere else

I was having issues with my previous vet with my dogs thyroid level and figuring out the correct dosage. After they told me to increase it again I became very skeptical so I took her to Northridge Vet for a second opinion. They said her levels were perfect and not to increase it. I also had a GREAT talk with Dr. Clark about her arthritis. He listened to what I had to say and we came up with a great plan for her future health. I was so happy because everyone was so attentive and I felt so comfortable. Everyone was so helpful and my dog is doing AMAZING. Shes like a puppy now and the whole family have seen the difference. Here she is living the life.

Oh my goodness this place is so awesome. I have been here a few times and had a few different experiences and I can tell you each time I leave feeling like I have gotten a 10 star treatment. The staff is excellent. The prices are decent. He wait time to get in for your puppy is not too bad. I would definitely suggest this place. Thank you very much Zach you were awesome. I love the Doctors and the staff. They are the most wonderful and sensitive people when you have an animal in trouble. The are helpful with all the questions have and treat you and the pets with respect. I drive along distance to go to this clinic.

They've been taking care of my baby for a few years now, and I wouldn't risk taking her anywhere else. They nursed her back from a sickly little thing, to the big beautiful beast she is today, and I could never possibly thank them enough. Personable staff, extremely competitive pricing for medications and general health checks, and genuine concern for my pet's well-being. Despite my cat's severe dislike for being handled, they are always gentle and patient her. I'm pawsitive she appreciates their help and care, as much as I do!

Last fall while my dog and I were in town for a few days he developed a terrible cough, they fit us in and it turned out he had a serious heart problem. Dr. Clark explained everything thoroughly and reviewed the xrays with me in detail. They helped me get an appointment with a specialist and further testing. I saw some negative reviews about prices however the emergency visit, labs, xrays and starter meds were only $850.00 which in my experience is about as cheap as you can get. I am so impressed that now that we will be in town a lot more I am changing both my dog's primary veterinary care to Dr. Clark.

Dr Clark has been our Veterinarian for many years. Him and his staff are extremely helpful and in my estimation can not be beat.

This place seems pretty popular despite the building being a little run down. The Vet seemed pretty knowledgeable and immediately identified mites on my husky. I had to wait in the (empty) lobby for 45 minutes though despite having an appointment. ????
