Good customer service, compassionate staff.

Was a 5 star worthy a few years ago. Now over booked(3+ weeks out on multiple occasions), pain to get on the phone and just to pick up a prescription can be a headache. I'd like to keep my 15 year old dog here to have a familiar setting until the end. But really debating switching. I have a new puppy, I went with services at another vet. I wouldn't recommend this vet office anymore.

I won't be turning to this place for any of my dog's vet needs because I don't believe they care. I went inside on a Monday morning for assistance with a dog I'd rescued in the street near them. All I got was a hasty suggestion to head to the SPCA. Maybe they're not able to scan for microchips but any vet hospital I want to go to would. They'd also be helpful towards any pet in need.

Best veterinary care in the entire Salinas area. All our cats receive their care here and we have never been disappointed.

Amazing staff. My pup was anxious but the ladies were patient and spoke softly to him. Weighed him quickly then offered him a treat when he stood up to see over the counter. They are very informed and kind.

This facility is ran in complete total chaos, poor communication, lack of communication, zero efficiency, and when I brought my dogs in for what should have been a very quick evaluation turned into a 2 hour ordeal. The vet was great and called me almost immediately to discuss thoughts and more than an hour later the dogs had not been brought back to me. I had to complain to get them to finish up with my dogs. Maybe the staff needs to learn to not run around in a million circles, but not actually accomplishing anything, focus and figure put how to be efficient and learn to communicate this facility might not be too bad. Until then stay away.

First time bringing my mini dachshund to establish her as a new patient and to follow up on a bout of pancreatitis she had a week earlier. Everyone was kind and attentive, even in the middle of covid restrictions. I'm so glad I chose this place for my dog.

Love the customer service and overall services they provide. The staff is always so friendly and very professional. When I call for an appointment or simply ask questions, I get through right away. My Husky Jazmin is almost two years old and they have been taking care of us since she was a puppy. I feel relieved and happy to know she’s always well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Well it was thus week, however it wasn't a good one. I had taken her in just a healthy check-up,I brought all her records for them to put in her file. Anyway, she had to have her glands emptied so I made appointment because she was miserable.the day before my appointment they tell me bring proof of rabies, I said you should look in her file it will be there it's less than a year since you saw her. She said we didn't copy the records I brought in. At this point I am searching and can't find then remembered the groomer had to ensure she had rabies shot and of course she did so I go to pick up and groomer can't f I nd thinks it was thrown away. The end is I made her an appointment to f I x her problem and you can see why I will never go back because they truly didn't care about my pet.

Animal Hospital of Salinas has the BEST customer service I have encountered pretty much out of any business. In Sep 2018, my brother's dog had a skin infection due to fleas and rubbed the hair off his back due to excessive scratching (as a result from an encounter with a dead? raccoon). I tried taking him to Los Coches in Soledad because our dog had originally received his shots there. No one was answering the phone even though it was 30 minutes after their open time on a weekday. We still drove to Los Coches from Gonzales, but they were not able to attend us at all and stated they only had a vet there half the day. We must've called 3 other places and Animal Hospital was by far the friendliest and most helpful. They were able to see our dog the same day. They even tried to get past information for our dog from Los Coches, but they were not helpful AT ALL!! So much for professional courtesy....At Animal Hospital of Salinas, they shaved the hair from our dog's back where it was most infected and gave us the proper ointments, meds and instructions to take care of him. While we were there, we also got him all caught up with his shots and flea meds, etc. Fast forward about a year and a half - our dog is doing great and living his best life! All the staff at AHS are great (soooo nice, helpful and are quick to have his next round of monthly flea meds when I request a refill)!! Can't say enough great things about them!!

I was so nervous trying to find a new vet for my babies. But not anymore! All the staff is so friendly and nice. You can tell they love animals as much as we do. They explained everything very well. The office is very clean. The online account is so easy to use to make appointments and have access to your pet's records.

Loved this place the vet was more than happy to help and provide advice for not only the animal he saw but the others I had at home.
