We brought our cat here for being lethargic. They did everything possible to find out what was wrong. They worked with us on getting financial aid even. Of course it was more expensive because it was an emergency center. Unfortunately our cat Had FIP and had to be put down. We were devastated. The nurses were very compassionate though.

I brought my kitten into this vet due to her throwing up and not eating and this was in the evening. The only reason I took her to this vet was because it was the only one will to let her come in to get checked out. When we first arrive we waited about 45-50mins to even have a technician come and take her in. We then waited about another one to hear back from the technicians while we waited in the car to know what was wrong with her. They came back to tell us she needed and X-ray because she had pain on her stomach when applying pressure. This was a $500 X-ray. According to this vet she needed to stay overnight for some blood work and medication that was going to cost us about 1200 just for the day. They said they had found a foreign body in her that was crushing her insides and quoted us an additional $5000 something to remove with surgery. When then decided to decline the overnight stay and surgery after vets were very pushy and insisted to have her stay. That was something we couldn’t afford, my husband and I were very scared but hoped for the best. This vet does not have affordable prices and offers options that are not needed. These vets then clearly told me, my kitten would be dying the next day for not getting her the surgery. What kind of vet tells you your kitten will die when they are not only to get your money. When to other vet for second opinion and no foreign body was found and vets never said she would be dying. We left with medication from the other vet and my kitten is now perfectly fine and healthy we nothing wrong. I do not recommend you to go to this vet they just want your money and will tell you your pet will die if you don’t give them your money. Only giving them a one star just because they’re is nothing lower

Wonderful facility with excellent receptionists, techs, and doctors. Everyone there should get raises this holiday season for the good service they provide to the public. :) I had to come in at 9pm on 11/1/21 because my dog, Brandy, was suddenly having severe breathing issues due to heart failure. The staff took Brandy inside right away and made her more comfortable by giving her oxygen and drugs. Thank you for that. The doctor called quickly afterwards to review the diagnoses. Unfortunately, my husband and I opted to euthanize Brandy. That was devastating, but the staff made the experience as comfortable as possible. The doctor and tech were very compassionate and supportive, which I appreciated. Thank you, Atlantic Street, for helping us during our time of need. Sweet Brandy was able to pass peacefully because of this hospital being open 24 hours.

Not a good vet, they made us pay up front for our puppies parvo care $3,000 up front or they can’t take him... I talked them down to $2,500 and they told us he had eaten the morning we picked him up while another vet who gave us our puppy back told us he hadn’t eaten and for him to stay some more days... super shady don’t trust them enough to come back

My dog was admitted to Atlantic Street for Parvo. They always offered me options knowing that not everyone has bottomless pockets of money. The communication and updates is amazing. My elderly dad is currently in the hospital If only the Dr.s and nurses communicated as well as the vet did.

So kind and helpful. Had to put my kitty down, and they made it a fairly seamless process. I also got a sympathy card in the mail. Very kind. Thank you.

If I could rate 0 I WOULD! these people clearly did not know what they were talking about, i called to make sure that I can be billed rather than paying then and there and they told me I can make payments on a online portal so I brought my puppy in due to her throwing up everything including her milk replacement and. Stomach acid, and told them I know what parvo is like and I know it’s not parvo and they insisted I still spend the 255$ DEPOSIT for that test and exam, then proceeded to tell me that they think it would be a good idea to run all these different test for infection and what not, they quoted me 987$!!! I then explained to them I do not have the money for that and they referred me to get care credit and I explained to them due to me being 18 I have no credit score so I cannot do so, they continued asking me about it several different staff members. Then by the end of the visit I came to conclusion to send her home on outpatient treatment and we agreed that they would send me home with anti nausea meds and fluids for her to gain some weight. They then proceeded to release her to me telling me that it was only one dose of the medication they did and that they can’t send me home with that stuff unless I pay for them to run those test, all confusion between everyone! They were not clear about anything they were doing and I ended up walking out of there paying 400$ for her just to feel better for one night! Horrible prices and ignorant people. On the discharge paper they did not even give me a list of medicine they gave her and what side effects to watch for, and no recipe anywhere! Save your time and money and do not go here it’s a joke.

This is us eating dinner because we have been waiting in the parking lot for 8 hours with no communication. They wanted to charge us $1200 for blood work and to shave our dog's face and we said no thank you. We will definitely not be back.

If I could give this place zero stars I would, they have horrible customer service. Answered all of my questions in the rudest way, when I was worried and didn’t know what was happening to my dog. I came in thinking that they would be just like every other vet hospital that I have gone to. But this time I had to go to roseville because it was the closest animal hospital. When I got my dog back and they preformed surgery on her, her belly was sewn very bad it wasn’t even a line it was more of a zigzag. I don’t recommend this place to any animal family out there. Last thing please read what you sign before excepting their service.

Absolutely amazing staff and facilities. They were the only ones that would help when we had an emergency with our puppy. They all genuinely care about the animals and are amazing at comforting and explaining what's happening. I won't go anywhere else. LOVE THEM!

Unfortunately we have had to take both of our dogs to this vet for emergency visits on multiple occasions. All I can say is the staff is extremely helpful, compassionate, and so kind! Seriously beginning to think my doggos are purposefully trying to get in to shenanigans so they can see the staff here ???? Thank you for taking care of Odin and Ocho!

If you want to go to a Vet that cares about your animal DO NOT GO HERE. They do not know how to communicate within eachother, having the very condescending vet not even being told my dog was having contractions when WE LEFT. She had a puppy at home that took an hour and a half and i revived it. Take her to the vet and im told with confidence she can do it and that if it was her (Amanda vet tech) she would take her home. She started having another puppy and once it was noticeably stuck we rushed her back. They FORGOT about us. They did NOT take her distacia seriously and im shocked even my dog survived. So eventually we ended paying FOR The CSECTION ANYWAY to get 3 DEAD puppies out. THOUSANDS of dollars for horrible "help". I put my hope and faith and NEED FOR HELP in the hands of the "experts" and they dropped the ball. ALSO DO NOT respond to this with your pathetic pre written out "apology" that i see on all the other unsatisfactory comments. Have some compassion for Jesus christ

I took my cat here who was having trouble breathing, her lungs were full of fluid, If you ever have a cat doing any kind of coughing, please get them to the vet right of way. Cat's as the vet told me try to hide this from us, who knew. I've learned my lesson though. They charged me over $800 to check him out and euthanize. It al happened at the early hours, so I was grateful they were open, I didn't want him to suffer.

Took my dogs here a few times. I have Xl American pit Bull terriers fully papered very well taken care of. One of my girls had puppies and we got her ears cropped in SF and we are too nervous too take the stitches out ourselves. We don’t want to hurt them. When my husband called them and asked if we can bring them in to have them removed they were super rude! And wanted to charge $125 for an examine only! And then extra to remove the stitches because why they don’t crop ears and the puppies haven’t been to them before but mama and auntie have been. My puppies were put under when we did them and didn’t feel any pain and we don’t want to cause any for them and have them be scared. My puppies had their 1st round of shots and a well check already. I get it, you guys don’t do that but no reason to be rude and then say well we are going to charge you way more, yet you guys say you don’t do them but will if we pay a lot of money.

After a $1300 bill I have been thoroughly ignored with my attempts to reach someone to help me with set of severe side effects from a medication that was prescribed for my dog. Our take home information sheet says to contact the vet should any of these side effects appear. Upon first calling I sat on hold for nearly 30 minutes at which point I was told I would receive a call within the hour. Two hours later I called back after hearing nothing and was treated very poorly by the person who answered. They assured me I would receive a call that same evening, lo and behold I have still received no such contact. I understand they were at capacity at the time of my calling but Loomis Basin was also at capacity at the time and was able to help me almost immediately. Additionally, no doctor nor technician discussed with me some of the issues that were apparent from the information sheet we recieved. Information which, according to the receptionist, should have been disclosed by the doctor but that were unrelated to the reason for the initial visit.

Took our older chihuahua here after she began having a serious allergic reaction from a bee sting. They helped her in a timely manner, but since she went home have been extremely unhelpful. They gave us handouts about her medicine and said to call if we had any concerns. However, they haven't returned our calls as she has become increasingly more unwell due to the medicine they gave us. We have followed up with two other vets, but they have been unable to give adequate counsel because they didn't prescribe the medicine. I understand that this is an emergency facility and they are busy, but our pet is a patient and our questions have been urgent. Not to mention there is mention of serious conditions that she might have in her paperwork that were not discussed with us by a vet or vet technician. Overall, my family is very frustrated with the level of care that has been provided.

They saved my cat's life. What can I say? When no other emergency vet in the area would take her. They brought her in and kept her stable until they could do surgery. They communicated with me like clockwork. I was always thoroughly informed. They were flexible and accommodating with me and so kind and sweet with my kitty. I ended up paying an enormous amount of money but we received an enormous amount of care. Looking at every line item in my invoice, everything seems reasonable and justified. She's healing astoundingly quickly and I think that's also a testament to the quality of treatment she received. I felt like we were in such good hands and I'm so incredibly grateful. Lily the cat says thank you!

I had a very good experience today with my dog, Charlie. He had an eye infection and since we are new to the area, we couldn't find a vet to care for him within the next 3-4 weeks. He was seen as an emergency by Dr. Rose. She was very attentive and communicated well with me despite the no physical contact covid restrictions. I felt like she really cared and took the time to call about a potential referral to UC Davis. They are very busy here, so be patient and understanding. I felt like Charlie was in good hands. Thank you for your care, Dr Rose!

I'm so grateful they took my cat in as a referral. He was very sick and I don't think he would've made it. I tried taking him to 3 other vets before bringing him here. No one would take him because of how bad he was. Ann Marie and Dana were awesome! They were very helpful and called to give me updates during their shifts. The doctors were also amazing and very informative. The check in process does take some time but it's just like going to an emergency room so it's expected. It is expensive but that should be expected also. It's emergency care. My cat is doing well and most importantly is alive! So the price was well worth it!

I have the highest confidence in the Atlantic Street pet emergency center. It's not an expensive, and the wait times are long. But I always know my pet will get the best care.

My name is Charles. I am a 6 yr old long hair ginger cat. Recently, my house burned and I was brought to Atlantic Street Pet ER with smoke inhalation, kidney distress and an eye ulcer caused by the smoke and heat. I had to stay 10 whole days. The staff was wonderful. They treated my injuries but they also gave me lots of love and pets. They were even nice to my Mom, who called 3 times day to check on me even though Dr. Jose and Dr. Rose kept her updated I am lucky because I got to go home but these are the most pawsome people ever!!! They truly care for every furiend who comes through the door and treat them with kindness and dignity.

First of all, I would give this 0 stars if I could. My experience here has been terrible and I'm still living through it. My cat had a minor fever but I wanted to take him in just to be safe. I drove 30 minutes to this specific one because all other ones near me were upfront and honest about their wait time. Initially when I called, they made it seem like there was no wait time so I decided to drive the extra miles. It has now been 4 hours and they still have my cat. He's already been seen, I know what next steps I want to take, I'm just waiting on the payment info now. I called 40 minutes ago because it had been an hour since they said they would call about the payment info. There are so many other reasons why I'm giving this place a 0 star rating but right now I just want my damn cat. I've been trapped here for 4 hours and counting, don't come here.

BRI! I can't thank her enough for helping me and my puppy Bourbon over the phone I'm in panic mode Bourbon broke his hip and is in a lot of discomfort. I had taken him in somewhere else and over the night I needed help and guidance, Bri was extremely helpful kind and patient with me and my questions gave me advice on how to keep him comfortable and advice on bathroom needs. We can't thank her enough for helping us through the night I don't know how I can ever repay her for her kindness.
