In October, I visited because my dog didn't eat enough. Dr said my dog has herniated lumbar disc pain and charged $1,400. For 30 days, nothing was changed and I visited again. Dr said my dog is renal and charged $1,500. Also they said as no more treatment in the office, no more Rx. After 2 days, my dog passed away. If you want to live with your pet for long time, don't visit here.

Horrible place to go to, will let your dog die in front of you. STAY AWAY ONLY GOOD FOR SCAMMING HIGH PAYMENTS ON APPOINTMENTS DO NOT COME FOR EMERGENCIES

They gave my puppy medicine that made have seizures. Also they didn't know what was causing the seizures. They killed my puppy pretty much, because we had to take him to another veterinarians office where they diagnosed him with all these problems that were caused by there stay at this veterinarian office. Be aware of kind precedures or medicine they give them.

I've been a client for about 25 years now and every vet I've had was wonderful and when they'd leave I'd ask them for a vet they think I'd like and they always gave me an answer, and a great one! I see dr. Sanders now, for many years and he is absolutely the best, my dogs love him. He always shows me compassion with my dogs and my finances. Yesterday I took 2 of my dogs and had a great visit with Dr. Sanders and the entire staff. When I got home a financial issue came up and I called to speak to Patrick and was very emotional stating I'd need to find a new vet, which was awful to even think about. I'm not going anywhere. Thank you to the entire staff, Patrick and Dr. Sanders. See you 9/30 for my third dog.

I have been going to VCA MCCLANE for my two dogs for over 5 years. So I was very surprised when I wanted to find out about my dog, who I dropped off at 8 am. It was 12:45 pm. Jennifer said that she was third in line, but they have an obstruction surgery. So she said she'll be see by end of day. I told her that I called around 10:50 am and that she was fourth in line. I know they get busy, but then I started to cry as I dont know how my dog is doing due to the fact that she has been throwing up for almost two days straight. We'll needless to say Jennifer, if that really is her name, became cold and said, "I'm going to let you think what you want to do cause you are crying and that and obstruction is more important than a dog vomiting . I have peopleon the phone and at the counter". Then she just hung up! There was no sympathy! And no one is allowed in there, so what people at the counter? Yes, obstruction is more important, but to be so cold is not what I didn't expect from VCA McClave's people. This happened today August 20th, 2021.

Dont go here they turn you away bc they are at capacity even if you have been bringing your pets here for close to FOURTY years. I brought my INJURED dog here only to be told they couldn't see her, its not like your seeing COVID patients …

We were served as walk-in on a Sunday afternoon after I discovered my dog had a broken tooth. I was concerned about infection and our regular vet was unavailable. Every single person I interacted with at VCA McClave, from reception to technician to veterinarian, was kind, patient and caring. Dr. Hutchison examined our dog, listened to my concerns, explained clearly what she observed and provided a referral to a dental specialist. We were McClave clients years ago, but changed vets after moving further away. It was nice to be welcomed back so warmly by the McClave team.

Holiday fee... $171 just for consultation. Disgusting. I will be leaving my local VCA after finding this out.

My cat that I had for almost 10 years passed at home I searched for a place to hold on to him until I figured out what I was going to do with him. I wasn't going to cremate him and I wasn't going to bury him Mc Clave is the only place that would hold on to Menace for me I spoke to Joanna every week I was afraid they would cremate him because they said a week is all they would hold him everyone at the office knew me after 2 months of Menace being there they knew I had a hard decision to make . I decided to have Menace preserved they packaged Menace up for me and had him ready so I could send him to be preserved. Everyone at McClave was awesome compassionate and caring . I had a puppy that passed away my daughter brought him to McClave a few days ago who is waiting for the packaging so that he can give preserved as well. Thank you to all that work at Mc Clave for everything you have done for me and my fur babies. And Joanna thank you for being there for me when so many times I cried about Menace . This new post below is as of May 17th 2021 You know McLaughlin animal hospital I used to praise and I used to talk so highly of you what good services you gave and how understanding and how compassionate you were but after I called to see where my animal was that was going to be sent for preservation whom the person from the preservation place called last week spoke to another Joanna and told him that the kit was coming and she swore that my dog would go out Monday to be preserved and I'm told that you guys tried calling me which was a straight lie nobody ever called me I called there are several times a month to let you guys know that I was having problems with the money because of the pandemic and then the gentleman Jim from the animal preservation called and informed you and he's got a sign thing from it was delivered and you guys sign for it the kit that was to transport my daughter's dog to be preserved only to be told you guys tried calling me and so did your office manager which is a straight lie again you guys cremated the dog so basically now I get to tell my daughter that her dog's not going to be preserved it was cremated I can tell you this I will never in my lifetime ever use your services again and I will let everybody know and don't be surprised if you end up getting sued in court. But like I said don't worry because the gentleman from the preservation company has the signed paper saying that you guys received the kit that cost me $300 I have all the proof for court so like I said don't be surprised if you guys get sued I will never use your services again and to everybody don't use their services they cremated a dog that they should have not been cremated

If you love your pet fried don’t bring it to this vet hospital. Days after taking my dog to this hospital, I told the veterinarian that my dog was getting worst and he didn’t request to see her again. I saw that she was worst then I decided to take her to an other veterinarian. When the new vet did blood tests, it was too late to do something for my friend and had to be put down to sleep.

Our dog was showing symptoms of HGE at 5 in the morning, and we were extremely worried because of her advanced age (14 years old!). We called the hospital as soon as it opened, and they answered immediately and told us to bring her in. Everyone on staff, from the front desk to the medical professionals, were kind, compassionate, and helpful. The doctor was informative and explained to us all of our options, and took our financial situation into consideration. Overall, we are so thankful for these essential who helped save a member of our family.

My ex girlfriend and a dog visited this place when one of them had a stroke of diarrhea. Ex was complaining about wait time and I understand both sides, nobody likes to wait especially on this occasion. The dog got some pills, ex got some bad experience, I got some negative in my bank account so I had to let them both go. Great place to think about some things. Will recommend to all of my friends animal lovers!

Not happy with the service. Everyone working here had a terrible attitude! Our dog was clearly in pain and they made us wait almost two hours to have him seen. There was no compassion from anyone working there, couldn't tell us what was wrong with out dog, and they brought up euthanizing him! What kind of horrible person would say that to someone who is clearly distressed! It's a stressful time when a member of our family is hurt, makes it worse having to put up with this terrible place. We ended up going to another vet who actually cared and helped us. This place really does just want your money.

I took my pet here and the people treating him were good but the man I spoke with on the phone to check in was very rude. I had difficulty hearing him and he shouted at me with attitude to answer his questions. I was stressed out enough bringing my dog here with an allergic reaction and his behavior was not professional.

I made appointment for my dogs vaccines and waited for 3 weeks making trip to this hospital and they tell me it’s mandatory to take an exam which I specifically asked for only vaccines when I called to make appointment. They are over priced and unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone

We showed up driving from Santa Clarita at midnight because we don't have an emergency24hr vet and our regular vet was closed. The wait time was really short because we were the only ones there. They took her in and everyone was very nice. Not even 15 minutes after she went in they told us her stomach didn't twist like it would of she had bloat and that she (a small Dachshund) took a dump the size of a large dog's dump. Nothing else was wrong with her. Will definitely come back if it's an actual emergency!

My dog Louie had chronic kidney failure. Dr Sanders was great! He answered my phone calls, he listened and showed great compassion. When the time came to put my Louie to sleep, Dr Sanders was so kind and caring. I am grateful for the concern and respect that was given to us. Thank you to Dr Sanders and the staff at McClave.

My dog is like a 70 lb jumping bean and then some when she has to get her nails cut. She gets EXTREMELY nervous however Simone and her fellow techs here were able get the job done!! They are the best. I highly recommend them!

I called and was told o come before 9 pm since emergency hours start at that time. I waited over an hours and asked one of the girls at the front desk how much longer will it be, an assistant came to the room and said'soon", after ab hour and a half I asked again and was told i WILL HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST 2 MORE HOURS. The assistant didn't seem to care rather then upset at me getting upset at the very long wait and not being treated, he even offered me to go other location and start the wait there again (are you kidding me???) WHY AM I PAYING A MONTHLY FEE IF THIS IS HOW I AM TREATED???? VERY UN HAPPY LEFT THE PLACE WITHOUT HAVING MY DOG CHECKED I WAS TOLD BY THE ASSISTANT I WILL GET A CALL WHEN WAIT TIME WILL BE SHORT. STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL! but they are still charging my card.... for that they know to be on time!

Tried to call and ask questions about an emergency to bring my cat in this evening and 'Destiny Mason' was the receptionist. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She wouldn't let me speak with anyone and even said "it won't matter" as a response to my question. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. Why would anyone take their pet here when they can't even answer a basic phone call question? Unbelievable.

First time dog owner and I took my new puppy here for a full exam. My puppy came home and I noticed a ball behind his neck that was not there and he has not ate anything or drank anything since the visit to this clinic. I called to ask question about my puppies visit and they want to charge me again a day after I just paid for his physical. I’m not even really sure they gave my puppy a physical since I couldn’t go in with him during exam. Very disappointing for my pet and I. If anyone on here can recommend a better clinic please reply to my comment

I had an appointment at 10am,on March 15,2020 ,I arrived on time and they put me in a room right away, I was there waiting for about an hour, I went to the front desk and tell them that I have been waiting for a long time, they said the doctor will be with you shortly, I waited for an other 45 minutes and the doctor still haven't show up, I went back to the front desk and then the doctor showed up right away, it was a very bad experience she did apologized but was always looking away from my face, finally she examined my pet and ordered some blood test ex rays, and then she asked me if want some one else to call me with the results because she was going to be back in the office on Thursday, I said no, I will wait for you because you know what is going on,I Thursday came and nothing, finally someone else called me on a Saturday with the results, it very unprofessional and disappointing, I wasn't asking for free services I spent a lot of money at this place before, for them to treat me like that.

Our chihuahua Chewy had a terrible skin infection from a cut on his head. We had to take him in a few weeks ago right when social distancing was really starting to take effect. The vets were very careful about maintaining social distance, but were very professional and they did a wonderful job with our dog. They checked him out thoroughly, and with the meds they put him on he's good as new- he even has a spring in his step! We took another rescue to VCA because they were the only 24 hour emergency vet near us years ago, but now we don't go anywhere else for our dogs.

Took my pet Chico to be euthanized on April 19th due to him having an untreatable health issue. Was told and reassured it would take no more than 2 weeks or 10 business days to receive the remains of my pet back through Aquamation by the doctor and by the receptionist that took my payment. I called today to follow up and Vanessa mentioned it would take 4-6 weeks now and she doesnt know why they said 2 weeks. What kind of nonsense service is this. Miscommunication is terrible here. Vanessa rudely tells me I have to deal with Aquamation directly and its not their responsibility. Why did I pay VCA for a service when VCA won’t follow up on the status of the Aquamation for me? They’re quick to take your money but also quick to push you off and not take responsibility and ownership of the issue at hand. This is ridiculous. Would never deal with this office again. I expect a call back from management about this issue ASAP!
