We like silver state kennel , my dog is a handful and doesn't listen well and she bits , I hope she behaved for the staff, but I need to mention that the 2 times she stayed she developed a eye infection the day after we brought her home, she must be allergic to something there, has anyone experienced this with there doggie? Thank you

Board my dog here Everytime. Love that they are trainers and know how to work with dogs, vs. someone who decided the like dogs and opened a kennel as a hobby

My dog is here right now for gun dog training and after only 2 weeks she is significantly better behaved. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they always called me back promptly if they couldn't answer the phone.

It is an extremely clean facility! They follow a very strict feeding regime to keep all the dogs healthy! They train hunting dogs there as and are very passionate about what they do!

We've been boarding our dogs here for almost twenty years, the owner is always present and gracious, and remembers us and our pooches. Our late sweet blue healer/pointer mix passed four years ago, when he was a year old (back in 2001), we took him to Silver State Kennels for a 4 week obedience training session. They did a fantastic job. We just rescued a (someone dumped him) gorgeous 11 month old German Shepherd back in October. He is now 17 months old and as sweet as can be. We are currently socializing him, getting used to other people and dogs, and to get him used to being boarded for short time in preparation for a short road trip to L.A. later this summer. We trust Silver State Kennels, they are good to their charges, dogs seem happy over there, facility is very clean, neat, and welcoming. We felt safe for our dogs to be there.

No pit bulls or pit mixes allowed for insurance reasons, I guess that's how they keep their rates this low. Oh well, no business from me!

Tremendous operation. Indoor runs Heated floors and exercise areas with pools my dog loves it here. I'm glad to find a team that takes serious what they do. They offer training services too. 30yrs service records speaks volumes

I have been using them for nearly 9 years. They trained both of my dogs and have had the same wonderful loving employees for years. My dogs are happy to go there and I know it is a safe environment. They really get to know the animals and they take great care of them. On top of all that they are very reasonably priced. My dogs also enjoy the good food they feed them and I've never had any problems after the dogs come home. I actually make my flights out of Reno and drive an extra 4 hours to leave them with Lori and Tyler because I trust them so much.
