We're new patients at this vet hospital. They are treating our 19yr old cat who suffers from stage 3 kidney disease. The doctors have been very good considering that they have had to jump in the middle of our previous vets treatment program. While the doctors are the reason people come here, the staff are the glue that holds things together and the grease that keeps things running smoothly. That is certainly true here. In particular Janet is always smiling, upbeat and helpful even when she's confronted by disagreeable individuals. If you need care for your animals, this place is worth a visit.

The tech lied to me. She said she gave my senior 1.5 L of sub Q fluids and gave him none. He was bone dry when I brought him home and the fur around his injection site was all wet. Not only was I charged but wasn't able to give him his medication for constipation because it would have further dehydrated him. I had to find a new vet to get him his fluids the next day as multiple attempts to speak with someone in authority went unanswered. I feel I cannot trust my beloved elderly cat's care to a vet clinic that lies. This also greatly inconvenienced me and cost me to find a new vet!

We were looking at veterinary services for our young cat ???? and a possible place to board our cat. We very impressed with sensitivity and caring attitudes of the staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and minimal stressful.

We noticed our 19yr old cat who is in stage 2 kidney disease was showing signs of urinary distress early on Friday morning before a long holiday weekend. Since our usual vet has been closed on Fridays since the pandemic we needed to find a vet to help us on short notice. The staff and doctors here happily stepped into the breach and made room for her even with her complex medical conditions. I'm happy to say she's doing much better now. The staff and doctors here are knowledgeable, and caring. The prices very reasonable especially considering the circumstances. They will definitely be seeing her for follow up and we'll be bringing our other three here as well in the future.

Good vet. A different approach than past vets and the cost and care was great.

I had to put down my precious 18 year old Mattie today. They are the best in treatment and care of animals. I used to have 3 other cat and I have used them as their Vets since the 1990's. I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone looking for a really professional staff that loves animals!

Great! Quick. I could watch her groom my cat while I waited. Not inexpensive but well worth it. She's professional. It was a lion cut today but come winter, she's going to turn my long hair cat into a short hair cat!

We won't go anywhere else. My 13 year old, somewhat disabled tabby Ben was not eating well for almost a week. After calling around we decided to make an appointment online and bring him here and are so glad we did! Very impressed at the level of care, attentiveness and knowledge the Doctors and nurses here posess. You can tell the staff here love cats and know what they're doing. As an added bonus it was very quiet while waiting, no loud barking like at other pet hospitals to give my kitty more anxiety being in his cage and the difference really showed! He was calm getting out his cage and not stressed like previous experiences. I like that they have little stands right at the front to set your kitty cages next to you and off the floor. I also love that Dr. Warley took her time and did a thorough hands-on and visual exam and asked questions which shows how much she cares. She also gave us some great recommendations on how to adjust his diet as a senior kitty and a few days later he was back to his normal self. Thank you so much Reno Hospital for Cats for truly caring for our furbabies and letting us be there with them <3. Exam price is very fair, bring your kitties here you won't regret it. My 8 yr old cat and loving companion was dying from lymphoma and they refused to take a walk in. We ended up taking him to another place and had him put to sleep.

My sons cat has been throwing up for years and our other vet never told us she had a very sensitive tummy and must be on special food. Now she is fine.

Dt. Eryn Taormina came in the room where I was long waiting with my cat . My cat has mouth bacterial infection. The doctor said her teeth must be pulled . I asked her if it was better to treat the infection first and schedule a full dental later and if she can give my cat an antibiotic injection . She said she will let the technician talk to me with quote . Young lady came in and said the cat needs rabies shot, and feline leukemia shot beside the antibiotic in drops . I told her my cat had already had the rabies and leukemia with another cat hospital and I gave her the name of that hospital . During all this the cat was not visited yet and I had another appointment in one hour . Finally I signed some paper with the quote for antibiotic injection the young lady take the carrier and my cat and wanted to bring her in the back . I asked her why I cannot assist the visit she said the cat needs to be visited in the back . I said ok then . I’m going outside to make a call I will be right back . When I went back the office was closed for lunch from 12 noon to 1 pm . Nobody told me so . I went to do my meeting and I was back by 2 pm My cat had pus discharged from her gums they did not even bother to wipe it or put some ointment . I wanted to see the doctor and ask her if after the visit she discovered something new . No chance . I payed picked up my baby cat and left . I will never go back there again . They have complete disregard of their customers time and most important completely disregard of the well being of a animal .

Very easy in and out. Called the day before and got right in. Everyone was great with my older cat Karl Marx. They listened to what my concerns were and worked to put in a plan for his care.

They used to be one of the best vets in Reno. Now they have no dedicated feline only veterinarian and really aren't worth it. Incompetent.

This is a lovely facility with veterinarians who stay up to date with current scientific research. They always get us settled right away and I love the care the girls receive. Pricing seems fair too, especially considering how nice of a facility they have. Parking is available.

Good vet and the staff is nice. I didn't like all the offers and adds that they sent to my email. I had to run from that.

This place has a charming office space, but is so dysfunctional that it seemed unwise to continue care there. After a vet emergency hospital stay, they repeatedly misplaced the ER records and the vet overlooked key info from x-ray report and in general seemed out of her depth.

Dr. Trosclair and her staff are incredible. They really care about their patients, they know cats really well, and we trust them completely with our cat (who loves them - he comes out of his carrier purring!). When we adopted our senior cat from a local shelter, the shelter thought he had an irreversible gum disease that would make it impossible for him to eat and would eventually kill him. Dr. Trosclair examined him and made a different diagnosis: our poor cat just had too many rotten teeth. 13 extractions later, he was more energetic and seemed far happier, probably because his teeth weren't hurting him anymore. Two years later, we still have a happy, healthy cat who eats just fine. When we moved out of the country, Dr. Trosclair and Justine helped us get our cat and his documents ready for the international move. Everything went smoothly. We have never found another vet we like as much and I recommend this hospital wholeheartedly.

Horrible and downright criminally negligent Experience. Cat got sick over the weekend, was taken to the vet on a Tuesday. Got a call back from the vet Friday stating it was a bacterial infection. Was offered a choice of a broad spectrum antibiotic or for them to do a second test to get a more specific antibiotic. I chose to get the second test. The lady on the phone misunderstood and said "ok, so we'll do the broad spectrum..." and I said no and corrected her that I wanted the specific one instead. She said ok and told it would take over 24 hours so I would not get the results that day and they would call me back. The next Monday I hear nothing so I call and ask for results. I was told that I would get a call back before end of day. No Call. Tuesday I call again and ask for information. I get the same lady from Friday am told at this point that "oh you were supposed to come in friday for the broad range antibiotics" Upset now I remark that I had asked for the second test not the broad range ones and in any event they never said to come in. They then tell me that they me that the specific test will take until the upcoming Thursday to complete (nearly two weeks since the sickness started) and I was supposed to start the cat on the broad range. Non of this was ever mentioned in the Friday call. Now really upset and worried about my cat's health I demand to speak to a qualified vet. They tell me they will call me back within the hour. NO CALL. I call back and after kicking up a fuss they eventually give me to a manager who says they can answer all of my questions, after two questions about my cat's health they state that they don't actually know and they will have to ask a vet and they will definitely call me back by end of business day. I was enraged and tried to demand to talk to the vet so I could at least figure out what treatment my cat actually needed and what the damage from leaving it untreated so long might be but they refused to cooperate. They just kept insisting that they would totally call me back. Spoiler: They did not call by end of business day, they have not communicated at all for the last five days. Fortunately, I found another vet and they were able to see my cat last minute and give her some antibiotics that day, it was a minor issue so my cat is suffering no long term effects but I cannot imagine how bad it would be if I was unable to get a simple chat in a reasonable amount of time from a vet if my cat actually had a time sensitive condition. Also they charged nearly $300 for a basic workup of the cat and a diagnosis for a bacterial infection. For these prices I expect exceptional service not the absolute disregard for my pet's health that they showed. I only wish I could give 0 stars.
