Lassen Veterinary Services has all our aftercare handled through Hearts Companion. We took our staff on a training so they could have a better understanding of the care Heart's Companion takes. This is an amazing business with the utmost respect for clients and their pets.

Thank you guys so much for helping our family put our dog Cody down. We miss him so much and we still love him no matter what and we know that he misses us too and loves us still too. It is so heartbreaking that he is gone now up in heaven but we will still always remember Cody and we don’t know what we are going to do without him but he was really sick and he was in so much pain and we didn’t have a choice. In this trying and beyond difficult time, Dr Ullrich provided the ultimate comfort, peace, and love. She spent over 2 hours with us ensuring our sweet boy and we were as comfortable as possible. She was utterly patient with us, understanding, and informative. She went above and beyond. Her commitment to help our furry loved ones is remarkably incredible. Which also shows in her impressive and admirable expertise. Her compassion, kindness, knowledge and love are beyond our expectations. Sadly, we've been through this heartbeaking experience in the past. Dr Ulrich rised above everyone - way above. She genuinely cares about and loves all animals. That's why she offers this - she knows this help is necessary and wants our furry loved ones to be treated with dignity, compassion, and love during their their last hours with us. She makes sure our furry loved ones feel her love. And we felt it to -its heart felt, truly. She even had tears with us. We're amazed at her pure dedication to our furry loved ones and their people (parents, as our furry babies are our kids). Such a difficult heart wrenching job that Dr Ulrich handles with grace to ensure the most peaceful passing. Krista, who took our call and made all of the arrangements for us, is also stellar beyond words. We called so many times with questions. She consistently answered with kindness. Plus, we changed the appointment multiple times. She was extremely understanding, flexible, and accommodating. ​She continually told us that we weren't bothering her and to call her anytime. Krista's help and compassion were also extraordinary. We are deeply and utterly thankful for Krista. My family and I, of course, are also grateful beyond measure for Dr Ullrich. We'd give more stars if we could. We highly recommend Dr Ullrich and Hearts Companion.

The most most caring and patient Dr. Deborah is amazing. She really took the time to explain everything and make sure we were ready for each step. I couldn’t have wished for a better person to guide us through this difficult time. What an incredible person.

Amazing and compassionate, Dr. Ullrich assisted with the passing of our sweet 16-year-old Sadie girl today. In a crazy twist she also helped us 10 years ago in a different state with the passing of another fur baby she had helped to battle cancer. Super nice and the best experience I've had for one of the worst things we have to do as animal owners. The whole process was smooth and i felt like they really took care of my dog once they had her body. I got the paw print and it's perfect to remember my beloved friend that I have lost.

The employee I interacted with was really sweet, they gave me time alone with my pet to say goodbye, and were really understanding of my emotional state.

I recently had to make the decision to help my senior rescue chihuahua pass due to heart failure. From the very first call to the very last follow up card sent in the mail, Heart’s Companion and team have been amazing. The crematorium is so peaceful and serene, I know Bean was well taken care of and treated with dignity. He came home quickly in a beautiful wood box with his little paw print in ceramic and a bag of fur clippings. I have and will continue to highly recommend Heart’s Companion to anyone in need of helping their fur babies cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you Dr. B and Krista for making this hard time a little easier.

Heart’s Companion assisted with the passing and cremation of my beloved first dog (Chlöe). They’re very professional, patient, kind and compassionate when it comes to walking you and your beloved pet through the process. I truly can’t say enough good things about working with them. I assumed that when my pet passed away it would be a horrible and dreaded scenario, but Heart’s Companion made the entire process an easy and seamless one. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

The entire staff at Heart's Companion understands the importance of helping a family through the tragedy of losing a fur baby. We have worked with them for a number of unexpected and expected losses and they have been the most caring, patient, and loving people to work with. Like with many, our pets are our family and they are treated with respect and kindness through the entire process. We are forever grateful for the love that they have shown us and our babies through our losses. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we would. I highly recommend them for cremation and at-home services.

These people are most excellent during a difficult time. The box complete with a little lock, some of his fur and a paw print plaque brought tears to my eyes but knowing he was taken care of in a loving manner helped a little. Thank you.

This was the second time using their service for two beloved dogs, Patch in 2018 and Austin in 2019. Staff is amazing and knowledgeable. We had Dr. Susan Brockus come to our home both times. Her level of expertise and love for our animals was outstanding. Even the emotional support she provides to clients is so thoughtful and sincere. I also wanted to mention Krista George who provided all the information and resources available to my husband and I, we truly appreciate it. Prices are fair and knowing our animals went in the least painful most comfortable way eased our hearts. Heart's Companion will always be a recommendation to any of our fur children parents.

These people truly are angels from heaven. There comes a time when you have to make a decision to end your companions suffering, I've had to do it three times unfortunately. But without the help of Kathleen green and the people at heart's companion it would have been a much more difficult time in my life when I let my babies go. I've recommended these folks to many of my friends and family members. Their discretion, their empathy, and the their kindness goes a long way when you're having a very difficult time with your pet's death. And the manner in which they treat your animal when they are gone is so loving and respectful I can't even put it into words how wonderful these people are. Thank you so very much for your help and kindness in my time of loss.

Very professional and compassionate service at a very sad and vulnerable time. The staff at Heart's Companion and Dr Brockus (who came to my home) were very kind and caring. My precious cat was shown the utmost dignity and respect through the entire process and at no time were we rushed. It was a very peaceful process and so much less stress and more intimate for me (and more importantly my kitty) than a trip to the vet office.

There just isn't any words in the English dictionary good enough to describe Hearts Companion.My princess died unexpectedly,and even though they were closed they sent their driver to come get my fur baby,they made this time in my life a little easier.They go all out with fur clippings and the pawprint is a must.So like i said there just are no words.Thank you.....RIP Callie Ely

Excellent pet crematorium with great customer service and house calls when needed. Treated us with respect and compassion will both recommend them and sadly enough use them again
