Pet Play House Reno, California

We always want the best for our pug and The Pet Play House more than delivers. Friendly staff that love dogs and are super helpful and flexible to our dog’s needs. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, safe and fun place for boarding their furry family member.

Doesn't get to visit the ???? part of the casino but I'm Shure it's as grate as the rest of the casino love this place

Our GSD puppy Stella loves going to daycare and is always happy to arrive and I can tell she has had a great time by the daily report card we receive. I appreciate the early hours I am able to drop her off working in healthcare and not having to worry about her during the day. We boarded her last month and I was nervous as it was her first time but the staff assured me she settled right in. We are so happy to have found Pet Play House and will continue to use them for our daycare and boarding needs!

Nice place. They CAN NOT handle large breed, expensive dogs. Will never return or recommend them to anyone. Talked to the owner about some issues and she laughed at me.

Rates are decent. Love all the additional items/services you can add-on. Have boarded my dog here a couple of times and he usually leaves pretty happy. My only qualm is that the staff isn't always pleasant to talk to when inquiring about boarding!

Pet Playhouse is the ONLY place that we will board our four golden retrievers. We drive 4 1/2 hours from Elko to board them in their wonderful facilities. The oldest doesn't like to be in doggy daycare, but the other three do. We know that they are in good hands with the Pet Playhouse. In fact, we are on our way there now. When we can, the dogs go with us, but not when we fly. Nice to know that they have 24 hour supervision, piped in music, and lots of TLC. The suites and condo have a home feel to it. Pictures on the wall and a small doggy potty area. The only thing that they need is a human to sleep with them.❤

Not sure my little monsters wanted to leave! Will def use them when we're in Reno again.

Our dog LOVES going here. She gets to play inside and out and always comes come exhausted, which i love since she never seems to run out of energy.

I havent taken my dog here in some time, but hands-down the best doggie daycare my dog has ever been to. I plan on taking him there again soon at least a few days a week.

The staff were amazing with accomodating us when we came from out of town. Friendly and helpful and the dogs have a wonderful time. Came home happily tired out and love the little report cards they get to tell you what your dog got up to during the day!

I loved pet play house. They always made sure my pet was tired by the end of the day. I HATE their staff. Rude over the phone, and the older gentleman was so rude/condescending to me it was insane. Seems like he has a problem with women. Never been treated like that in my life. He told me that my dog wouldn’t be able to go to daycare because she had kennel cough. I informed him upon drop off that she gets over excited and tends to gag or puke in the morning when she knows she will be playing with dogs. After he sent me away (on a day that I was supposed to be working might I add) I immediately took her to the vet. There is no reason she should have kennel cough as she wasn’t coughing at home. Turns out he sent her home for no reason. Vet cleared her and said that she was just overexcited, that was a hefty vet bill might I add. The older guy had told me that they sent out an email over the weekend about kennel cough, I simply stated that I never received it. In fact I generally don’t receive emails from here. He snapped “well YOU HAVEN’T READ IT but you received it”. Oh I didn’t know he had access to my email. I can assure you that my inbox is completely empty. I have told them multiple times that she is a puppy (8 months) and gets overexcited. I understand they need to take precautions, but they were aware of this occurrence AND they treated me like garbage. If they treat their customers like this I can only imagine how they treat the dogs behind closed doors. Disgusting. Not looking forward to the defensive and rude response that I see on other reviews as well.

My doggie loved it here! She boarded for two nights and was in great spirits during and after her stay. I know because we reserved the Penthouse for her which had a web cam so that we could peek in on her. I will definitely be bringing her back!

We will definitely be back! Our 5 month old Weimaraner puppy needs activities, interacting and cuddling. She got it all at Pet Playhouse. As they say...a tired Weimaraner is a good Weimaraner, an exhausted Weimaraner is a great Weimaraner. She returned after 4 hours at Pet Playhouse a GREAT Weimaraner!

I'm giving them one star because they don't except any terrier breeds And my puppy is a lab/ pit mix. I have been taking her to dog daycare since she was 4 months old and has never had a problem. I really hope they change this policy judge the dog not the breed

We love this Place. Our dog and her best friend play there all day. The staff is wonderful and the facility is awesome.

They took our dog with short notice. They were very kind and treated him well. The facilities were clean and reasonably priced. Next time we're in town, we will only bring our dog to Pet Play House.

My dog loves it here. They interact and play games with him. He plays all day and comes home tired and happy. This is Jack after 8hr of play.

I wanted to wait one year before I reviewed Pet Playhouse, and now that my dog has been going to daycare for a year I have nothing but the highest regard for the staff and facility! From the personal report cards they give after each daycare session, to the warmth of the staff every time I get there. My dog is calmer around other dogs and more gentle in playstyle than he was before we started going regularly. I have also boarded with them, and the clear communication and high standards really struck me. Plus, the add-ons are so fun (think: blueberry facials)! My one critique would be that they do not have a webcam in the play areas, but the staff is so trustworthy that it would simply be for my own enjoyment.

For nearly 2 decades I have trusted Pet Playhouse with my pups. The peace of mind I have when my dog is there is precious to me. I am now working at home for social distancing purposes. I am still taking my dog for a couple of days a week. I want this wonderful small, local business to survive this crisis. More importantly my pup does.

Have used them on several occasions for Dora, the Explorer. Very clean, professional and reliable. You even get a Report Card showing how your dog did in variois activities and the names of your dog's new buddies.

They are so great with my Puppy, and I love the report cards they send home with us!

SO disappointed that they don't allow "Staffordshire Terriers, Pit Bulls, or any Bull breeds/mixes to socialize with other dogs." (Which, hello, is a large percentage of dogs. How would you know anyway? Are you DNA testing? BTW, there are multiple bully mixes in your daycare photo gallery.) Their customer service rep was rude and bluntly stated "IT'S ON OUR WEBSITE AND HAS TO DO WITH OUR INSURANCE POLICY." This is archaic and unacceptable. Businesses that enforce breed discrimination won't ever get my money. It's 2020 guys, read the room; judging a dog based solely on physical characteristics shows that you clearly shouldn't be in the dog business.
