Canine Design Midtown Reno, California

I have been taking my dog here for grooming every month since moving to Reno. Rachel does an AMAZING job but I’m not a big reviewer so I haven’t posted any. However, I have to leave a review at this time as this entire staff, especially Rachel, have shown their love for animals and compassion recently. I somehow ended up with a dog whose mom is not well and they have to be separated at this time. The dog was a bit disheveled with long nails so I asked Rachel for a last minute grooming before the dog and his mom part ways. I even asked her all I need is a bath and maybe a nail trimming as it was a Friday and she was already booked. She not only graciously took him in, but trimmed his hair and made him look like a totally different fresh pup!!! The staff also extended their best wishes on finding this dog his new home and told me that they’d help me finding him a loving home if I struggle with it. Well, luckily, he is going to a new loving home and will be looking fancy schmancy on his way to his new owner. It’s also worth noting that my 1 year old dog loves this place. She’s always jumping and so happy to go to her groom sessions.

My pups did not fuss at all with the groomer. She was quick and friendly. They got nail trims. I'm sorry, I forgot her name! The business was clean and had no odor. I will definitely come back.

Best dog groomers in town. Fair, honest, and best cuts anywhere in town. My dogs and I enjoy going for their grooming. We wouldn't waste our time or money going anywhere else. It's a shame when people leave fake reviews from people who have never been there. Melinda and her team are the best.

We couldn’t have asked for a better groomer than Melinda! She always took the best care of our skittish golden retriever, Cali. My dog has since passed, but she always walked right into Canine Design like she loved and owned the place. She loved Melinda too. It’s a beautiful space and always well run.

I would like to share that the experience I posted previously was not a person within the Canine Design Midtown but rather an individual who rents space from them. After we were able to take things offline we were able to clear the air and get things taken care of. In conclusion: it's never too late to do the right thing and the right thing has been done.

Some of you may have noticed a one star rating on our reviews in Google. The individuals involved are dishonest. It's okay to leave a review but when you have friends write fake reviews, well that just shows lack of character. Those of us that know us, know the review is a lie and the one star didn't even come into our business nor have they ever had any dealing with our business. We thank you all for your continued patronage and referrals. Thank you.

Rachel is absolutely incredible! We have three Australian shepherds and most groomers won’t even call us back when they find out we have 3. Rachel called back quickly and took them all to be groomed in the same day! That is a grooming professional! She did a wonderful job with their cut and they all came out VERY happy. We were nervous finding a new groomer after moving here from Georgia, but we are thrilled to have found Rachel! 10/10, 5 star, would absolutely recommend!

Rachel who owns Nevada Natural Dogs inside of Canine Design Midtown does a fantastic job! Rachel is really nice and listens to what you want. My dog is a coton de tulear and Rachel always does a fabulous job with her shaping. My dog is always happy after as well. I don't see myself going anywhere else.

This is absolutely my favorite groomer in Reno. I have a skittish shelter pup, and Amber takes her time with my dog in order to make her feel comfortable. Every time I’ve gone my dog has looked perfect when she came back, and it’s very reasonably priced! I highly highly recommend this place to anybody in town.

I just can't say enough about how great Casey Watkins is at grooming! She always does such a great job on my westie and she even sent a picture of my cutie in a card after her last grooming appointment. I am so happy to have found this place since moving here and I definitely won't take my dog anywhere else.

1st time I went they were wonderful. The last time I went there was a different lady and she did my dogs nails in the lobby. Never even took my dogs to the back were the nail trimming is usually done. Super disappointed!!!

Eryne is the best. I have Siberian Huskies and they are huge, furry and stubborn, she does a wonderful job with them. They come out of the salon looking like brand new dogs. I highly recommend

Best groomer I've ever been to!

I've been going here for my mixed-poodle grooming for about 6 months now. I'm very happy with Eryne.

Absolutely the best in town . Took my 2 pups in for a last minute Christmas eve appointment and they came home looking AMAZING!! SO thankful to have found such a wonderful groomer !

Best grooming shop in Reno

What a good experience! I came to them as an accidental walk in (after a mix up I had with another grooming place) and they were able to accommodate my dog right away. She is a shelter pup who is terrified of everything, and I could tell they did everything to make her feel comfortable and cared for. All the groomers are so polite and kind. My dog looks great, and my anxiety about getting her groomed in the future has totally been eased by this place. Will definitely be bringing my dog back :-)

It's a very clean place. Very inexpensive and the groomer is very very nice. I highly recommended it.

Eryne is AMAZING! I adopted three, sometimes skittish, shelter dogs from CRCS rescue and I was so nervous to leave them with a groomer. Eryne was comfortable and confident right from the start. She always finds away to fit all three in for an appointment, and she does a wonderful job. The dogs look forward to our visits. I highly recommend Eryne and Canine Design!

We brought our 2 pups that do not like baths at all. Eryne was great with them. They came back looking 1000times better. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend them.
