The clinic is fine and the veterinarians seem qualified but one of the receptionists has terrible customer service. Not once but numerous times I’ve interacted with her. Just today made no attempt to accommodate a simple (easily remedied) request.

Very happy with the care my 13 year old cat had at Whipple Pet Hospital. I made a request via an online form and they responded via email to explain their appointment handling and cost. They scheduled a next-day urgent care appointment. The waiting was minimal, I was asked to approval all charges before the ran tests. I used my phone to email the clinic my pet's previous medical records while I was in the exam room and the vet had reviewed them prior to coming in. The vet was very professional, discussed the previous treatments she had reviewed from the records and how those impacted her decision for her treatment plan, and she had me come into the radiology area to explain when the X-rays revealed.

On my first visit, the vet tells me that my cat has bladder stones and recommends that I put my cat on a special diet, which totally makes sense and actually did cure my cat. However, on the follow up visit, another vet tells me that he’s not sure whether the bladder stones were actually located in the bladder or not and tries to upsell me a referral to an x ray specialist (that would’ve cost $700). This is AFTER my cat was already cured. Super shady business practice. I’ve spent nearly $1000 just for a couple of check ups and to be told that my cat needs to eat a certain type of food. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

To care for our dogs the way that these people do is a real gift. Our Carlos & Morrison are treated with kindness, dignity and as needed a thorough teeth cleaning. I was so touched by the after procedure call ???? by the after procedure call an

Firstly, the veterinary care seems fine. What bothers me is that I left a voicemail and sent emails on Friday morning about whether or not I needed to bring in a stool sample for my puppy’s appointment on Monday afternoon. They never got back to me, so I showed up for the appointment empty-handed. In general the communication isn’t great, and I don’t feel that I am involved in the decisions about my pet’s care. Edit: for what it’s worth, they called me and seem to want to improve.

Always have to wait 20-30mins to even just to check in. This was true even before Covid. What's the point of appointment?

I'm not someone who writes a critical review out of spite. I have tried to fix things by calling them thrice now and every time I'm told they'll call me back, but I still haven't received a call. I have a rescue and because of covid he had to be taken inside by the staff of the clinic and I had to wait outside. I had asked them to let me know how much the vaccinations would cost before giving it to him but I was given a call only after by the doctor to let me know that the vaccinations were already given. Because I have anxious dog they also said I should buy anti-anxiety pills from them for which they charged me $24 for 10 pills, which I could have gotten for 18 cents a pill. That is a big difference. I would have appreciated some honesty from the get go. A prescription would have been sufficient. I let them have the benefit of doubt and called them back to see if I could return the meds and just get a prescription instead. The person who picked up said they would ask the doctor and let me know. I haven't received a call yet. This was four days ago. I have call twice since and got the same answer. How long does it take to confirm something as simple as that? I also got a ridiculous estimate for his dental cleaning. And was told that I should take him to the cardiologist because they heard something in his heart which could be because of anxiety or a heart issue. A visit to the cardiologist is going to be expensive. And the fact that they don't think about these things when they recommend it to you just makes me feel that they don't have my pet's or my best interests in mind.

New there but have had an amazing experience so far. My dog has had all of her shots there and a teeth cleaning. Great people, great communication and lots of love for the doggies.

Incompetent all around! Made an appointment for a cat with severe ear polyps. Whipple Pet Hospital offered to do a consultation/appointment , and ended up having to “refer” us to another pet hospital because they don’t do that type of surgery. Clearly, you should know over the phone if you could do it or not! No, instead you scam us into a consultation only to be referred to another place that doesn’t do it either?! Are you that incompetent or lazy?! $300 and 2 consultations later, still having to find a third pet hospital to help our kitty. This place is a joke and we will never go back.

I drive 30-45 min to come here (i have a few vets by my home ) but They treat my fur baby’s with care and love. One of the two of my brats had a broken tooth and they booked him right away. I haven’t had any problems booking and getting in for an appointment . Definitely recommend them.

I'm writing this review from a place of frustration. There are basic things that are missed at Whipple that astound me. If the doctor prescribes a medicine or a special prescription food, they never give you the script. You get home expecting you can order online and can't without a written prescription sheet. They wont email it to you, you have to go back. This has happened to me twice. You think I would have learned the first time. We just had a visit we were told was a follow up examine for our cat with Renal failure. Both my husband and I took off work to be there since we know her end is near and wanted to ask questions. It was like one hand didn't know what the other hand was doing. They thought we were there for a blood draw. She's already got renal failure, what are they drawing more blood for? To show us how much worse she is? She has to be sedated for blood draws and not knowing this was a blood draw appt. we didn't do that before hand. . Additionally, they seem to always be running late. Super frustrating experience each and every time. I'm looking for a new vet.

I bring my puppy there for her first vaccination and follow-up check-ups. The staff and vets are super friendly and helpful; my puppy was well taken care of and I was also always able to find help when I emailed them. They don't open 24/7 but I m glad this is the first vet I got for my puppy. Great location, a little pricey but for new dog owners, this is probably a price to pay for a piece of mind.

This vet takes very good care of our animals. I just wish the front office check in check/out process was more streamlined and organized. I don’t ever expect anything to happen quickly at this vet. But I keep going back because of the care my children receive!

I have 3 pets and they're all senior animals. Whipple is a compassionate, professional place. I'm at the vet a lot and always feel like Dr Stiglich has my fuzzy babies' interest and well-being at the forefront. I feel like we work as a team together to care for my pets. I am loyal to Whipple Pet Hospital!

We've been going to Whipple Avenue for about 6 months, and I cannot wait until we never have to deal with them again. Every time I've had to call in, I've been made to feel like I'm an imposition on their time. Their staff is awful, and clearly don't want to their jobs, let alone be helpful. Even when I've been assured by the doctor that I'll receive a call with lab results by a certain day/time, I've had to call repeatedly for days after that to actually get them - which has happened both times we've had labs done. If you ever need to fill a prescription online (which you will, because they don't carry much, apparently), they will NOT fax a prescription. You'll also have to directly check whether they even carry what your pet is taking, as they've known for 6 months, and never mentioned they don't carry Nexgard.

Great veterinarian! They were able to see my kitties on short notice and had blood test results quickly. The office is a little hard to find as it is tucked in behind the gas station on Whipple Ave. The entrance is located on Winslow Street. Thank you Dr. Tam for taking care of our older kitties and helping us adjust to their current needs.

This has been my go to vet ever since I got my cats. The prices here are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and all of my calls have been returned promptly. The veterinarians are very good and always take the time to talk through all of the potential treatment options with me.

Finding a vet is one of the most critical decisions we make. When work required us to move to the peninsula, finding a wonderful vet was one of my top two action items. Whipple Ave Pet Hospital is probably the best vet I've ever found. To a person they are professional, skilled and clearly love all their patients. We've only been coming for a little over a year and they know my name and all my "kids" names when I call. If i could give a 10 star rating, i would

This place is rather small with limited parking, but the doctors are fantastic. They call me the next day to see how my dog is doing. As soon as lab results are in, they are quick to call.

Nobody likes going to the doctor and my dog is not a fan either, however the staff at Whipple Pet Hospital is amazing and makes going to the vet a breeze.

Staff and Veterinarians are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr. Stiglich has been great with my dog during the multiple visits over the past year. I am very grateful to have found such a great establishment.
